Scott, Great information. A business associate of mine is attending the conference.

I would pay for a domain but not at these prices. Years ago companys went to great lengths to purchase a domain name if it were owned by someone else. When I worked down in Silicon Valley I do remember companies paying top dollar to buy a particular name. I don't think you see much of that going on these days!!!

Roger, Best wishes to you and your family!! Best to you in '07 -
Over the last couple of weeks I have been approached by several individuals in our industry inquiring to me about my perception and/or position as it relates to the many topics that have found their way on our industry "hot list". These topics have ranged from ~ the direction of the PWNA ~ my impression of GrassRoots.org ~ ***** and ~ the feasibility and logic of yet another organization forming. The purpose of this thread is not to rehash the discussions that I have had privately. The purpose of this thread is to kindly ask those that have contacted me in the past regarding the above topics to please cease doing so at this time. It has come to my attention that my comments have been distorted and used to imply things that I never said nor meant to say. Why post this on the TGS? I want to save the embarassment of this particular individual by not contacting them personally. They have alot to contribute to our industry and trust that they will slow down on their agenda to really observe what our industry agenda could be! As mentioned, this thread is not meant to start the dialogue about any of the above topics so please refrain from doing so! Happy Holidays!!

"If it were easy...then everybody would be doing it"" -
Jeff no offense taken on my end bud and no need to apologize! We are good to go! This is a dicey subject and I consider everyone's opinion. Jon, heading to NM sure does sound nice and sitting in the yard sipping tea is even better. Both of us are deaf so we should have a hell of conversation! Our next big trip will be after March sometime....who knows I may let you know I am in town!!

Wow ~ thanks for the Kudos everybody ~ Bill, Jon, Jeff, Scott and Beth! Happy Holidays!!!

"They dont have to charge the same rates, they can afford to low ball us right out of business, Because there cost of living is less than ours, they live 2, 3, 4 famlies in one trailer home" ~ Quote from Jeff Pretty interesting thread....this topic came up about a year or two ago on the TGS ~ I am sure my buddy Jon in NM remembers! I am all for ensuring that people enter into this country legally...no matter what nationality you are. I was born and raised here. Served in the military honorably. Both my brother and sister both have college degrees (I was the blacksheep of the family) My father was from Mexico and entered into this country the correct way. Once permitted to be here he worked his tail off so that we could have a better life in this great land. I don't remember having to live in trailer though...I do remember having to spend a summer at my Aunt's house in San Diego once when I was little - which was hell - but no trailer! LOL My mother was caucasion but spoke fluent Spanish. At home the language that was spoken was English. My father made us speak English to the point that I had to take Spanish in H.S. ~ I almost flunked ~ my spanish teacher said I was all messed up LOL - he gave me a C- because he felt bad for me!! I am serious ... I can't speak Spanish ~ well a little bit now! Any worker that works for our company that can't speak English is required to attend English speaking classes 3 evenings a week at our local community college. My company pays for this at no charge to our worker. On the job site English is the primary language with flexibility for those that are attending English speaking classes! I celebrate my Mexican heritage as I know what my father had to endure to raise us the best way that he could. I would not anticpate any one race to take over the power washing industry as Jeff eluded to. There will be 'pros and cons' about this subject until the cows go home. Does this mean that everybody that comes across our borders illegally is bad...I think not. Our govt. should do more to protect our borders! Enjoy!
