Sister lives in Atlantic City and I would have an opportunity to visit her also if the "conference" was to be in that neck of the woods.

Mike, Congrats on the call backs from your happy customers. Build on the momentum that you have going. Don't push the business too fast in all of your excitement. Manage the growth. Keep the customer service and quality of work in the forefront of everything you do and the opportunities will be endless for you. Keep up the good work!!

Great idea. I can't commit to attending (I committed to go the last 2 PWNA convention and never made it) but I will throw my support behind this. Why couldn't this be a TGS conference?

A couple years ago we hired a H.R. Firm to create a complete and thorough management guideline to assist us run our power washing business. The management guidelines contains all the forms you should need to manage your human resources task on a day-to-day basis. Some of the descriptions are Hiring Forms, New Hire Forms, Performance Forms, Termination Forms, Posting Requirements and Safety Requirements ~ too name a few. Our company has outgrown the above guidelines as we have involved ourselves in many different industries. We had a need to redo our H.R. part of the business due to our rapid growth over the last couple of years. If anyone is interested in receiving a copy of our Power Wash Management Guidelines to assist them in getting their H.R. dept. pointed in the right direction, please let me know. Our H.R. guidelines are based on Calif. laws. Each state is different and our Power Wash Management Guidelines are ONLY to be used for informational purposes only! Meaning that if someone can use the information that we are providing to assist them to migrate in the direction they need to be as it relates to H.R. compliant...Great!! Let me know if you are interested in receiving a copy of it and we will get it out to you!

You might be a pressure washer if you are on your way to dinner with the family and you change your plans and follow a rig going in the opposite direction (oh by the way I have done that)

Great topic...I think all of us fall into this category. My wife knows that it is just routine for me to get on the TGS everday if possible.

I agree...Beth and Rod get the big red ribbon. I have been part of the TGS for 3 years and must say that I have enjoyed every minute of it. The knowledge and wealth of information has had a positive impact on our business! 3 Cheers for Beth and Rod :)

Sweet looking deck Ken...Shane is top notch!! -
The boycott yesterday did indeed have a economical impact on businesses all over the country. I was surprised of the turnout and the volume of people that participated. Jeff, I certainly understand your compassion about this particular subject and I do agree on several of your points. We must remember that this is about ALL illegals entering into the country and not just one particular race.

Interesting quote from today: "You should send all of the 13 million aliens home, then you take all of the welfare recipients who are taking a free check and make them do those jobs," said Jack Culberson, a retired Army colonel who attended the Pensacola rally. "It's as simple as that." From the looks of the rally turnout - it had a bigger impact than people thought....

Interesting subject that will probably take many years to find a solution ~ if there is one. I agree with Alan that one day will not have a huge impact on the economy. I for one do believe that those that do come into the U.S. illegally should be deported, whether from Mexico, Asia, Middle East and Europe. It doesn't matter what country you are from. The law applies to everybody. I do get approached when I visit my local Home Depot from our friends from south of the border looking for me to hire them. I simply give them my business card and tell them that the need to fill out a job application and go through the screening process that all my prospective employees need to go through. It is difficult for me to convey this to them as I do not speak spanish. When they discover that I cannot communicate with them they are further confused as my name (Carlos Gonzales) perputuates the notion that I should hire them. As mentioned, this is a very interesting subject and it is sure to get more heated over time.

Are you sure that the HOA is not going after other bids also? Some HOA's by-laws require that they RFP a job of this size.
