  1. We don't do them anymore, but when we did the goal was to remove the debris and make sure the gutter flowed with water (ie downspouts ran free of debris). Never scrubbed the interiors. No one sees it.

However, people DO ask for black streak removal on the exteriors, which we do often with house washes.

    Beth

    Same here.....

  2. I spoke with Rick Petry in NJ today and his two cases of Hinnie survived the storm. Minus one tree but said all is well. Carlos, myself and many others are truly hoping you all land nicely on your feet!!!!

    Jake

    10-4 on that Jake.

Have a sister on Staten Island. She' okay but alot of damage. Spoke to Fenner. He hasn't been able to get to his summer beach house at OC NJ.

  3. Spoke to Mark McIntyre today from Easy Clean Systems. He wanted me to pass on his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all you in the industry that have expressed their condolences and prayers for the recent passing of his 25 year old daughter. He was very touched with all the cards and flowers that were sent during this very difficult time in his life.

  4. That is so tragic my heart goes out to Mark and his family. My deepest condolences. Nothing can replace a child lost. If there's something you think we can do Carlos let us know.

If anyone wishes to send a card or flowers here is the address to Marks shop. Right now I do not have any info on the funeral arrangements.

  5. Please keep Mark and his family in your prayers. Late Thursday or early this morning, Mark's daughter, Michele Woodall passed away in her sleep.

Many of you know Mark as owner of Power Wash Network and Easy Clean Systems based in California. No details as far as cause of death are known at this time. We will keep everyone updated as information comes in. Services are tentatively set for Tuesday the 21st.

    Thank You

  6. I am confused...

Don't you Carlos have a life time membership in lou of the hard work you did for the *****. I remember all of those hours you spent working, trying to get members to hear you on the views of what the ***** stood for. Because of you, the ***** was strong and with a clear voice. I think you told me that you had over 300 members at one time.

I know the transition team all have life time memberships as well as you...right? When People think of the *****, they think of you. Carlos, it was your baby.

Nope...not a member and I will leave it at that.

I will say that I do support the current board collectively in their efforts and look forward to hearing/seeing their plans. I do plan to rejoin and well as join the PWNA in the near future.

and yes the membership was either 260 or 360!!!

  7. Hey Carlos your a ***** member right? Take it up with your new VP who knew about this meeting and elected not to go or tell his membership about it. I'm not surprised by this but you seem like you are. I would suggest you call him but then again he wouldnt take the one call that was important which I needed to talk to him about when I was a ***** member. So dont hold your breath waiting for a response via phone.

Not a member John...Haven't been one for several years!

  8. Sorry Carlos, did not see the red outline. I assume you are talking about N. California.

I have been asked to talk about Parking Garage Cleaning and Filtration.

As you know Carlos, the City of Concord makes you filter the water when cleaning sidewalks even though you use no soap. I am AGAINST this.I believe that washing with a pressure washer is the best way to go for the environment, again that is, if NO soap or chemicals are used.

However, if you are cleaning a drive thru, or gas stations, then filtration should be used regardless whether soap is used or not.

The City of Concord is an interesting animal....I reclaim now but will be filtering soon. Funny how Coco county seems to have less requirements these days vs. cities that are actually in the County. If I have questions at that county level..I know who to call. We are vendor for them and have done building washes and flatwork for them.

One correction on that statement Jim. If you are doing drive thrus or gas stations and have a sewer drain (car wash) you can discharge directly into that without filtration.

  9. Hey Guys, We brought you the hoola hoop, skate board and some damn fine wine. Now we have a voc compliant oil based stain that has been on the market for 12 years (this is not an ad Beth, but meant to help). Feel free to call with questions. Jake Clark, Pres. 1 209 541 6579 cell. We are sending LA to NJ so Rick can deal with the tree huggers!?!

Jake you forgot to mention that we have the best beaches...hottest women...and the best bands all come out of Cali (thats for Adrian :) Haa...supp buddy?

  10. This might interest those that find themselves with stains on Concrete:

EBC Testimony from Andy Vickers from down in Georgia. EBC being used to remove Oil Based Semi-Trans Stain on concrete:

"Had emergency service today. Customer spilled an oil base semi-trans stain on fresh clean Concrete yesterday. Called me this morning after 14 hrs of drying and soaking in. (Wish I took photos for you guys) but customers were freaking out and cameras might have made it worse. But drum roll please..........MY ONLY SAMPLE OF EBC THAT WAS MEANT FOR A GAS STATION SERVICE WAS THE HERO THAT SAVED THE DAY. sprayed is out, agitated it, gave it 30 mins. Hit with surface cleaner and hot water. Ta Dah! Stain gone! EBC SHOWED ITS COLORS TODAY AND THE COLOR WAS BROWN OIL BASE STAIN. GONE.............ps. this photo is only the after I cleaned. Sorry no before. ty

  11. Just in:

PWNA was requested to attended the MS4 Regional Event to help our fellow contractors in Region 6. Fort Worth, Houston and other cities was there in force. Heads of Depts. was in attendance. A new stricter issue for our industry was being considered. Robert and I feared the worse.

Robert Hinderliter was able to provide to them years of research and Lab results of our industries washing run off. By providing this information, which was back up by boxes and boxes of cold hard facts and lab results, Robert Hinderliter was able to reverse their motives of increasing current restrictions to the states, county and cities. Head officials from such cities and counties as Houston and Dallas was present as well as State and County officials. They finally all agreed with the PWNA that further restrictions are not necessary at this time. This is a great win for our industry and a great win for the pressure washers who operate in Region 6.

I myself is scheduled for several conferences for the Bay Area, Los Angeles and the surrounding area as well. The costs for these meetings that Robert and I attend comes from our own pockets and we are not comp for any costs such as hotels, food, rental cars or airfare etc. by the PWNA or any other source.

The purpose for these conferences, ( Conferences meaning more than 40 and less than 2,200 in attendance) are to work with the "EPA Agencies of enforcement" on the issues that strike at the heart of our industry. To give a clear voice for our industry to the agencies who police us daily. Because of Roberts reputation over the years for the industry, Robert was requested to share the views of our industry as a whole. This speaks Volumes !!!

Regional 6 includes: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

If you would like more information about what’s coming out in the (2nd) 5 year plan for the states, please submit your request to the PWNA and ask for Robert Hinderliter. Since it seems that our attempts of verbal communication gets twisted at times though no one’s fault, we have decided to ask you to make your requests on this subject in writing. We hope that this action will promote "A clear voice of understand" on the subject.

    Thank You.

Is this about garage cleaning or commercial/residential washing. Can anyone attend these meetings Jim?
