  1. i was wondering if ready seal is better on pretty new wood rather than a 10 yr old deck? i have been using twp for the past 6 yrs and used ready seal today for the first time. it just didnt look right at all to me when i was done. i used medium brown and it looked faded as it was drying. I was excited the local pressure washing store started stocking ready seal and now that i try it im not so sure.

  2. thank you james. the deck is covered but when it rains heavy the edges do get wet and the previous stain the guy had on there did fade quit a bit. Any help would be great. i have explained to the man that the stain no matter what we go with will not last very long at all so he isnt expecting that. i just want it to look good for the longest time possible for him.

    thanks Mike

  3. Go to lowes and get a belt sander, they have pretty good ones for like 65 bucks and it will pay itself off beleive me. get a like some heavy coarse sand paper and go over the bad spots then get some finishing sand paper for the sander and go over it for a final time, it shouldnt take you but a couple hours if you go that route. you should be fine putting the solid over what is already there just go with as dark as color as the customer can stand. thats all i can tell ya, just price out the sanding based on how long it takes you, but like i said it shouldnt take long.

  4. Id say try the hd-80 process once more, if its availabe try hotwater also, and if they want a oil base semi transparent, paint the rails white and sand like crazy on the floor then try and go with a darker color TWP or ready seal. The only other thing you can do is stop stripping now and just go with a solid all the way around, which sucks but ive had the problem a few times and the customer is useally very pleased with the white rail route.

  5. i have a landa hot water 8gpm machine right now im thinkin about trading in or saleing. the local store around here has a pressure pro 8gpm machine with a honda 24 hp and a general pump for 5200 with a couple little free gifts with it that come in handy for sure. im not very familiar with pressure pro machines, ive always had a landa since i started business and so far im not very happy with them. so any advice or knowledge of pressure pro machines or any other machine for that matter i would greatly appriciate it.
