  1. All the replies on here have been made in a very professional manner. How is that bickering? Legitimate discussion over the use of certain products on different species of wood is what makes people professionals.
  2. Lazy Man Needs Deck Help

Theres no way you would be set up to effectively downstream stripper unless you have equipment set up to do so. You haven't mentioned if you have use of a pressure washer. If you follow the mindset of most lazy customers Ive come across you will end up using too much pressure to "speed up the job". Not good for the wood, not good for your project Theres no "easy way out" in terms of finish removal on a deck. As mentioned, there are techniques and products that make the job quicker, but many require specialized equipment and proper knowledge of the use of such equipment. And I'll reiterate Ken's comment regarding the danger of the chemicals required for those applications. If done wrong, you will likely experiance damage to your house sides, any plants in the area, and your own body (eyes, skin, hands) There are products available for consumers such as yourself that will ultimately save you money over a professional, but its a distinct possibility that you would need to use a scrub brush. You may also require two applications of cleaner or finish remover. Replacing the deck boards and or flipping them and sanding them will both be either exponentially more work and or money in relation to hiring a professional. The cost of you messing up the project, your deck, your home, or your body will be much worse than the cost of someone doing the job for you Bottom line is that you can't restore a deck sitting on a lawn chair drinking a beer. Sorry to break it to you
  3. Can anyone solve this?

Technically the answer could be any set up numbers above 1 given that the groups were the same. However, since this is a human problem, 23 is the only denominator or divisor for 529 that results in a whole number. Aka equal groups of full bodied students (cant have half students) Doesn't have anything to do with square roots though unless it specified the number of students in each section was also equivalent to the number of sections. Just happens to work out as a square root.
  4. Wow! Haha all that work you put into it, maybe you should just keep them after all. Itd be a shame to see them go back to the customer haha They look real good

  11. That looks great! What do you do when useing the hd80 in the water? Does the rinse water dilute it enough so it doesn't matter? Same thing with the bleach?
  12. Asking for your vote!

    what is fabricating debris?
  13. Woodtux vs. timberOil

I dont think beading water is particularly representative of a good finish. Thompons probably beads more than anything the first month you have it on. Ive never had a woodtux deck bead a lot of water, but I know they look 100 times better than any thompsons deck ever will
  14. Its sold by ken f. from pressure pros on this site Its powdered chem so youd have to dissolve it to put through injector. Are you looking to use it for your own use or to recommend to homeowners?
  15. With a lot of stains you can get mildew and mold under the surface of the stain you strip. You strip the top stain and then rinse and the mold hasnt been touched fully. Might need to spot treat those spots or do a real quick second stripping
  16. With wood that old and neglected it can be almost inevitable at times. Since your machine has a lower gpm maybe the tendancy was to hold the nozzle closer to the wood to speed up rinsing? Even though you used a larger tip you still want to keep the gun far enough away from the wood Sanding is always included in my bids, which is why I work hard not to have any furring. Otherwise I use the makita with defurring pads. 60 grit random orbit sanding if there are bad spots.
  17. Those streaks on the fashia board seem really characteristic of the behr decks ive seen. And the gray floor would be no surprise for behr stain I said in your other thread id be at 1400 plus stain. I guessed on the rail length so I couldnt estimate for sure
