  1. Concerning PWNA

Just you guys, your such trouble makers.....LMAO Well welcome to the land of Non-Believers, or should I say Non-Conformers.:club: :corn: Now I return you to your regular programming
  2. Daily Motivation

This one I really like not sure who said it "keep quite and people will think you a fool, open your mouth to speak and remove all doubt."
  3. Concerning PWNA

Beth & Rod Sorry to hear you guys were locked out. Was it all members or just a select few? Perhaps a few members dared to question the supreme ruler and his court? :zipit: Sorry couldn't resist. But as my ol' grandpa used to say, "who needs em, they're only important in their own minds". Ok now I'm hoping to get Big Red out of intensive care:lgsick: and back on the road :vroom: today. Now I'm back to :lurker:
  4. House wash and windows / roofs

My house wash is the same as RLS from the gutters down. Roofs are extra and I don't (yet) do windows. Only had one customer even ask about windows and it was a large front window with high arches and it was the only one he wanted cleaned. I used a squeege right after the wash and rinse it came clean and he was happy, (no charge). Ryan how much do you charge extra for the windows? Around here I get anywhere from $180 to $375 depending on the size of the house, this cost does include the gutters (outside). If they want the gutters cleaned out inside that is also extra.
  5. Extreme solutions HD80 and EFC38 but this year I want to try pressure tech's products as well.
  6. Start Date

I'm shooting for a March start date, although I have been doing small hit and miss jobs more this winter than in the past. But March is my no kiddin start date this year.

  8. Concerning PWNA

Celeste HECK Yeah I'd go back today if they'd have me. Its going on 32 years since I first enlisted and I still Love My Navy. Yes its changed, and no not all of it was for the better. I still work with (at my day job) young sailors and some not so young. I also work with the Marines. I can't think of a better job to have right now than supporting and helping our young Marines and Sailors. The educational opportunities that are there for these kids are outstanding. I'm talking about while they are active duty. Then when they leave (if they ever do) they have a version of the GI bill where they deposit money for college and the government matches funds. I would recommend it to any your man or lady you can't beat it. Not only the Travel, adventure, but the maturing process that takes place is a site to see. Jon Must have been my SR moment cause I can't remember it. hahahaha Howard Braden Power Wash
  9. Concerning PWNA

Carlos hey Shipmate, I was stationed on the USS Midway forward stationed in Yokosuka Japan in 74 to 76. What ship were you attached to? I really like this one, it reminds me of me on most days. :banghead: Course with the upcoming Nascar season ready to begin this one is also appropriate. :vroom: :vroom: :vroom:
  10. Concerning PWNA

Well said Beth, "Bull Feathers"? is that anything like "Road Apples"? Being raised on a farm in Ok, I know about Road Apples. Like your little rant box as well, cool. Now I return you to the 2005 Power Wash Season, good luck to all, May your wand always work and feet always stay dry. Howard
  11. Concerning PWNA

Beth Sorry can't be there the weather is suppose to be good and I have jobs that I'm backed up on. Also have to do some long delayed maintenance on "Big Red" (my 2500 dodge diesel 4x4) Hope everything goes good, I'll make a meeting one day I promise. Henry I understand and respect your feelings, I just don't share all of them. I won't say anymore here its all been said other places in as many ways as it can be. I take my hat off all who are still willing to help those who need it. To the others that want to be members of an exclusive club I say "Good on ya". It was said earlier here by Squirtgun I think that there are many more non-members than members and I don't need or want another case of the minority dictating to the majority what will or won't be done. I too don't agree that they are the Voice of the Industry. Just me.....
  12. Concerning PWNA

I checked the PWNA site today like I always do and I can't see it. Thought I had done something wrong.....not me I'm just locked out it all. Not a Member, Do not enter here "Members Only". Ok I says, I go to ***, TGS, Delco as well. Most times PWNA had nothing new where TGS has something new almost every day. I for one won't miss it. I could see the hand writing on the wall the past few months. There were/are a select group who want to require special licenses, ect..... I could see PWNA moving in the direction of tighter controls, either get onboard with me or your against me. Beth, Ron, Hopefully you guys don't intend to shut your boards down anytime soon. Just an observer from the outside Howard Braden Power Wash
  13. Passing the torch

Mike, snowed an inch an hour all day, your a better man than me, I don't like snow that much. We're suppose to get 3 - 6" this weekend maybe if so I'll be busy all weekend long. Take care and don't get lost in all that snow.....
  14. Passing the torch

WOW!!! course in IN you folks are used to heavy snow probably don't get excited till its over a foot deep. Here the 1.5" we got they let out school early, had 2 hour delays this morning. People left work early to get in the 2 hour line to go home. Don't even try to get a loaf of bread or a gallon of Milk. Lord Have Mercy if we get over 5/6 inches, everything shuts down. Course with the maniac drivers we have thats not a bad thing, hard enough for them to drive on a sunny dry day. So back to your deal, just how much snow is that looks well over 6". jk really how deep is it?
  15. P.O. Box or Not?

Home address along with home phone and cell phone. Have answering machine on home phone telling them leave message or call my cell phone. Howard Braden Power Wash 301-904-6258
  16. Passing the torch

Right now yes I am and I do plan to be there. But that could change course you know that. Best laid plans and all that......
  17. Passing the torch

Yes its ready and installed, I just voted and replyed to your poll in Snow Plow. Got 1.5" yesterday not enough to work with. They say this weekend maybe more, works for me. That is if you folks up North don't hog it all like ya did last year. Send some my way will ya? haha Howard
  18. Do you plow snow?

Yes I plow snow or at least I have a Plow. Down here in Southern Maryland a guy with a Snow Plow could get really hungry if that was all he had to do in the Winter. I wouldn't recommend it as a winter side to pressure washing. We got 1.5" yesterday, not enough to even look at much less plow.
  19. Passing the torch

Beth wish you the best, with your operation. Sorry I didn't see this sooner, glad you guys are not going away, then I'd have to find a new supplier. Come on Summer
  20. Got the plow all serviced and PM'ed now just waiting for the first flakes to fall........
  21. PSI vs GPM

Mike your exactly right. I very seldom get over 2000psi unless like Bart said I'm stripping paint, cleaning boat bottoms or cleaning concrete. I'd chose GPM over psi any day.
  22. Frosty

Same back at ya Brian, most years you guys up north get all the white stuff and us southerners get nothing or it just rains. Maybe this year will be different.
  23. How do you like your Turkey?

Shane then you deep fry it?
  24. estimating Sheet

That is the same one I have. (Thanks Reed) it works well. If I remember right Reed you gave yours to alot of people last year or year before last.
  25. estimating Sheet

I'd like to know if anyone ever heard from Dale or got a copy of his estimate sheet. I know I never did. In looking thru past posts I don't even see where he ever replied to anyone. Just wondering is all.
