I've never done it in the ground used wood/charcoal/ and gas in a cooker. I know what ya mean it takes alot out of ya to stay up all night. I don't do that any more, use gas and it takes about 6 hours to cook a 180lb pig. Quit using wood or charcoal when I started looking around around about 4 - 5 AM and I was the only one awake and sober. Then later I looked around and I was the only one there at all. So since I'm doing it by my lonesome then I do it on my terms.

Let me know when the next "gentlemans" BBQ is I promise not to so too much of my red neck. or as Garth Brooks put it "show up in boots" hahaha.

Stone Crab? You haven't had crabs until you taste Maryland Blue Crabs. Next best thing to King/Snow Crab. I can taste em now Steamed Blue Crabs, lots of cold beer maybe even some osyters and or steamed spiced shrimp....

Ok....Now I've done it.... done went and flung a cravin on me...have to go out on the boat and get me some crabs when they come in..........

  2. Jon Ron P

    Thanks loads for the info,

Ron I printed out your instructions and I'm currently studying them.

Jon thanks for the picture and yes if its not too much trouble I would appreciate more pictures. Thanks as well for the info you emailed to me.

Rich Yes my unloader has a bypass so that isn't a problem. I'm just trying to get the right procedures so I don't have to buy another pump to try it again.

Just don't do it if using up or down stream.

    Uh?

What do ya mean run pump in bypass?

What I "planned to do was plumb the tank into the pump inlet, with a "Y" shutoff so when I didn't need the tank I could just hook up the water hose.

Am I thinking wrong on this one?

  4. You say the deck has never had anything put on it, then say your going to strip and seal?

Assuming you don't have to replace any of the boards and the deck is a ground level I priced out your deck as follows

Clean and strip with one coat of sealer Total Sq ft = 298

(haven't used spa - Pool and deck) but have used Flood products before, their coverage is about 130 Sq Ft per gal. = 3 Gal

Total Price including materials $521.50, Before discount (if any)

I figure total material cost including stripper, brightener and sealer at $123.00

2 hrs to strip, rinse and brighten deck

    2 hrs to seal

= $70.62 per hour (+ cost of material)

    That

  5. I cannot stress this enough.....

You must test.....test......test......Prior to taking on or even giving a price for this job.

I didn't do that last summer and paid the price....

It was the "Deck From Hell" The "Stain" was "Super Deck Acrylic Latex" White two coats. Nothing....I repeat....Nothing was taking it off...HD-80 didn't even touch it. I know HD-80 is a great product but for this I might as well have been trying to strip it with soap.

I ended up cleaning it then putting on another coat. This was at the owners request, since I was getting ready to just refund the money paid, take my loss and walk away.

    So I repeat.... Test .... Test.....Test

Just my thoughts on the matter.

  6. I am planning on attending your shindig on Saturday. I would like to attend Marketing in the AM then stick around for the Demo. I will also pick up what I ordered that day. Save 5 Gal of Wood Tux (Cedar), for me as well (if its not too late), I'm gonna redo my deck this year and that is what I intend to use.

See ya Sat Morning. By the way, where ya at and how do I get there. I'll be coming around 295 from southern MD.

    Thanks

    Howard

  7. Went really well, didn't have a digital camera so no pic's I'm gonna get one so maybe next year when it snows.

Didn't get as much as the last snow fall, this one dumped some ice as well. Haven't put the plow away yet! holding out for one more snow. I am starting to get calls about houses and decks so I'm starting to offically get spring fever. Been looking at some of your products and maybe gonna try some this year.

    :D :D :D
