Yes, Jetstream, I think it's easier to work out of. The only thing I'm paranoid about is putting a scratch on it somewhere. The bed is getting line-x'ed soon, so I don't care about that, but I'm really careful with tossing hoses and stuff to make sure the fittings don't hit the outside body. I really like the tailgate spring shock thing.. it's just fun to open and close. Driving far distances is a lot more comfortable, and I got sirius radio, so I can listen to fox or whatever - I never have to find a radio station when I'm working away from home.
I am curious as to what kind of fuel mileage you'll get from the 4.7...

Don't use the chemical use that came with the pressure washer that attaches to the barbed fitting before the pump; just forget that stuff is there. If your chemical injector does not have quick connects on it, put those one taking note of which direction the flow is supposed to go, which will be shown by an arrow on the injector. Place the injector on the quick connect coming off the pump, then connect your high pressure hose onto the injector. If you are running long lenghts of hose and you're finding trouble getting chemical at low pressure, you can remove the injector and place it somewhere in between your high pressure hose (like between to stretchs of 100 foot hose).

Another feature I like with the Sorbo is the way the rubber refills come on a roll. You don't have to keep all seperate sizes on hand for your different length channels. The silicone rubber refills seem to last longer for me too. 30 inch strip washer and a 30 or 36 strip washer and you can smoke through some large pane windows. You get twice as many people watching you too. :)

I have seen the foam stuff Shane posted installed in the expansion joints in buildings by some of my high-rise friends. Not sure what the process is for that though, you would think you would install it and then caulk over the top of it. I can't imagine the foam holding up to sunlight and the elements for very long.

Jetstream, I'm really enjoying it. It's funny how it's somehow easier to work out of a newer vehicle. It pulls the rig a lot safer then my frontier did too. All the inside storage like the two glove boxes, hanging file folders, and cupholders are really nice too. Are you driving with the traction control on or off - and did they tell you how to turn it off? Mine's a lot more aggressive and powerful (fun to drive) with the traction control off!

Nice Jetstream! Another Tundra. 25,000 well spent. What color is it? And is it the 5.7?
Here is mine, just over 8,000 miles on it. I'm getting 22mpg on the highway with no trailer, 17mpg on the highway with a trailer, and 15mpg in the city with a trailer.

For those who offer window cleaning, you have got to try the Sorbo brand of squeegee's. They are made a little different then most squeegees that allow it to do things that most can't. The picture shows the green handled 18 inch Unger and the black handled 36 inch Sorbo. This Sorbo really speeds up time on larger glass like showrooms.

I offer commercial and industrial window cleaning - 5 stories or less - in addition to the ususal pressure washing. I also clean awnings when asked.
As a side note, I am not subscribed to the Cleaner Times yet, but I was told that one of my before and after pictures was featured in last months issue. If anybody could scan that page and send it to me I would greatly appreciate it. Cleaner Times told me they would send me several copies, but I have not received them yet.

I picked one up a brand new one for $125 a few months ago. I saw a couple used ones for sell for $60 the other day. They had been cleaned out well and had new ball valves.

I got 13.8 on a tank when I pulled the trailer the entire way. The truck only had 400 miles on it then, so I imagine if I were to do that now I would get better. I'll let ya know. Kevin, what do you remember the mileage as being that scared you? This is the 5.7 6speed 4x2 and the sticker says 16 to 21 if I remember correctly. I'm already doing better then I was in my frontier.

Got a new truck to pull the rig with. A new Tundra with the 5.7 v8. I have to keep looking in the mirrors to make sure the trailers back there it pulls so easy. Decent on gas too. City and highway combined with pulling the trailer im getting 15 mpg. Only 1500 miles on it so far so it's not broke in yet. For any thinking about getting a new truck, I suggest taking the Tundra for a test drive.

I have one of the square water "IBC tote" tanks. It's 275 gallons with the metal cage built around it. Can these be safely mounted on a trailer? I've seen them on some trailers, but have not seen how they're fastened. It has like a metal pallet built into it on the bottom. I was told to use 4 u-bolts on each corner, but that just doesn't seem like it's enough. Any suggestions?

Is "Lamorinda Pressure Washing" the name of your company? The reason I ask is you stated Lamorinda is the area in which you work, so I just thought I'd ask. If it's not your business name, I would have that on the card for sure.
You may receive more phone calls if you add something like "Ask about our spring/summer specials". Make them want to ask you a question, so they have to call you. Once they call, you can talk them through it and close the deal, but you've got to get them to call first. Very nice ad though, I like that it's not over crowded, it's nice and "clean" - no pun intended. lol

What kind of machine do you have to clean tile and grout? I wonder how different they are from hot water units? I've used my surface cleaner to clean tile where there's drains and it worked great, but I suppose you grout cleaning machine uses much less water.
I love the name, get's right to the point. I like that. lol.

It really looks tough, I bet it would last forever. I'd hate to have to pick it up everyday though.

Busy as can be here in SC. Got 20,000 square feet of concrete to clean tonight. Don't forget to target all areas of pressure washing when it gets slow, not just your usual nich cleaning, if you have one. Hope business picks up for you soon!

Actually I'd rather be on a stage. If you look really close at the picture you'll see that both guys are not only connected to the same lifeline, but they're even connected to the same desender. If im not mistaken, they should each have their own lifeline, and their own desender. I assume the reason they're doing drops is the staging is usually wider then some of those inside narrow spaces on the building, the stage would not rest even on the building.

Some will argue it's cleaner. Because you're using super pure water, you're not leaving behind traces of cleaning solution that the squeegee leaves that will later atttract dirt. At least that's there arguement. I have found that my water fed pole, which is a crude home-made version - but works perfectly - cleans as good as if I had squeegeed it. There does not seem to be a difference. There are some exceptions; if a buildings windows had not been cleaned in 3 or 5 years, you should not expect to get it clean with a water fed pole the first cleaning. You will probably have to have your nose on the glass to see what need's to be razored and what else needs to be done in order to clean it. A pass or two with a brush won't clean that kind of dirt. But for regular maintance cleanings, maybe even yearly, a water fed pole seems to be equal. Do some research locally, many times you can rent the DI tank locally. I rent mine for a lot cheaper then I could buy one from Tucker. The Tucker poles are a good choice if you're going to stay at about 30 feet or lower, but anything higher it gets pretty heavy. There have been some very nice new WFP come out in the past few years that are a lot lighter, but also a little more expensive. I have made mine from a 30 foot Unger pole, a nice medium car cleaning brush, and the bright orange 3/8ths (100 ft) air hose from Lowes. Attach one end of the hose to the brush spraying outwards and on the other end attach a garden hose barb to connect to the DI tank. Works great for me, although if I were to use it a lot, I would invest in a real WFP.
