Mike, We will be in Gainesville the week of Christmas. You going to be in town? Reed -
What size can works best for you?
reed replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.

While ya'll are talking trucks, I had to put mine on hold, had to get the road king:) I'm sure ya'll understand:cool: Reed

Sorry it took so long to get back. Been out riding the new bike. Thanks fo the welcome. It's an honor to be amongst some of the greatest in the business. Mike, still coming down there in December. Are the temps then ok to redo a fence for my son in law? Reed

Still is not as quick as when this board first appeared. It is a little better. I know it is not this laptop I am on, this thing is as fast as a raped ape goin up a tree.:D

I like the look, but the entire board responds very sluggish. Even with the high speed processor I have, it is tad bit on the slow side. Reed

What kind of residential pressure washing are you doing?
reed replied to Beth n Rod's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Deck and Fences only, no houses, may do the concrete pad around decks if real nasty. Decks only is usually the norm. Make a damn good living at it too. Reed -
Wolmans bid formula ?
reed replied to a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
The formula the Wolman's uses was based on the industry standard when deck restoration was just begining. They have not updated for at least the last 4 years. Pricing really depends on the local market. I get 1.75 per sf and that is the entire sf'd. Rob, you have my bidding process and it still works for me. Readyseal and WoodTux are NOT consumer products, they are considered professional products, thus they are not sold over the counter. There are substantial discounts on ReadySeal if a large quantity is bought and you have a business address to ship to. -
Just recv'd my latest 30 lbs of Hd80, and the color of the powder is now brown. After mixing it the water color is now amber. So what's up with this? New supplier of the raw ingredients? I can't believe no one else has not seen this. After Mixing, I think I will tone down the amount I use too, it seemed to be a little stronger than previous batches. Anyone else?????:2eyes: Reed

HD 80 changed???
reed replied to reed's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I do appreciate not having that "airborne blast" when opening the pail and mixing. Great move. Reed -
Consumer Reports, Wrong Again
reed replied to a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Great subject folks. That's the kicker, "CONSUMER". That in itself is one of the reasons I don't use consumer products. Professional products only, hd80, citrallic, oxallic blends, efc38, woodtux, readyseal. Not one of these are a typical consumer product as referred to by the article. If you are not telling your customers you use professional products only I think you are missing a great sales line. Anyways, I look to see threads like these. Professionally handled and no NAME CALLING. Congrats. Beth, did you find the exact link? Reed -
I like the first one, but keep the second one, as stated above, if you expand you have something to expand with. By the way, who did the designs? Reed

So anyone use the AOL or yahoo instant messages? I'll start by putting my aol on here, it's reedster, and the yahoo is reedsterstl. So, who else is there? Reed

deck stripping with HD-80
reed replied to clark's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Yea Clark, so us a picture. Reed -
I think that is what he is saying Beth. He is south of me, what is called South County and there seems to be alot more competition down that way. I have competition here, but like Rob was saying, I tell them they hire me for quality not cheap work. He has had a real tough go at it with his low ball competitors doing the same work for beer money. Reed

Picked it up this past Friday

Everett, you are so right. I have had to work 2 saturday since I started 4 years ago. I don't work weekends if I don't have to. Now that we have this ride, Cathy is more inclined to ride now than with the other bike. It was too small, imagine that. Will do on the rides in MD. Hope to go to Virginia Beech within a year. I must admit, I am enjoying the hell out of this new ride. Still can't wipe the smile off my mug!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LOL LOL
