Should I mix bleach in my house wash?
R. Williamson replied to CannonW's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Rob, I see your points. But any measures you can take to limit your exposure is a good thing. A couple of years ago I had a pump sprayer filled with a mixture of soduim hydroxide. I thought I had relieved the pressure from the container. Unscrewed the top and caustic blew all over my eyes, face, hair, clothes. You do not know when a accident will happen, that is why you need to wear safety gear. I am guilty myself of not taking every precaution that I should, but would never tell anyone else not to. Bob -

3/8" Hose Question & Motor Question
R. Williamson replied to kmcliffo's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
(1) Yes it can. If you can post a picture of the connection to the pump and one of the connection to the gun. We can figure out what adapters you will need. Then Beth can supply you with the needed parts. (2) With the 3/8" hose it will not function any different than what it does now. Bob -
Burst Pressure Hose?
R. Williamson replied to kmcliffo's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
When a pressure type unloader is set to high pressure in your hose can spike up when in bypass and cause hoses to blow. Is this steel wire braid hose or hobby hose? What brand is the pressure washer? -
Should I mix bleach in my house wash?
R. Williamson replied to CannonW's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Point taken Tony. My point is mine should not be singled out. Any affective chemical has its down side. Caution should be taken with any chemical you use. Even though this was developed as a truck wash it is safe to use on homes. The dilution ratio to clean homes is a lot less than it is to clean trucks. Do you let your customers kids and pets run around you when you wash a house? What about when you strip a with deck sodium hydroxide. Was sodium hydroxide developed just for decks? There are studies that have linked chlorine to cancer, it is on the United Nations banned chemical list. Is this safe for pets and children. Think about it. Bob -
Should I mix bleach in my house wash?

Safety is important ! Tony, a lot of the house wash mixes have hazardous chemicals in them. What is wrong with a chemical that is multitasking? Robert -

Deublin Rotary Unions
R. Williamson replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
When I was researching swivels for the Bad Boy, I contacted Deublin and they said the most common used swivel by surfacer manufactures are the 927 series. They are rated at what Alan has said. They do have a swivel that will flow 10 GPM but my cost is $ 1400.00. Why other manufactures advertize more is beyond me. I guess it is the same type of advertizing some use when they state the size of a surfacer and they measure the body diameter and not the actual cut path. Robert -

R. Williamson replied to One Tough Pressure's question in The Club House
Whitco is one of my suppliers. They got their phones back up today and I talked to them. It is a complete loss. They are trying to find a new building now. They said they should be back up in six months. They are great people with great products. Robert -

If anyone is interested in getting together in N.E. Ohio, post here or give me a call. I'm sure we can get something going. I would not even mind driving to Toledo, to where some of the Michigan people could come. Robert Williamson 1-888-898-0908 -
