Is the GP TS2021 pump the same as an HP5535 pump? I ordered a General Pump and received this other pump. Thanks, Mark Freeport, Fl.

Hi, wondering if you could share some advice. Recently noticed oil in pump to be milky and bubbly/fizzy. What could be the cause of the water getting into the crankcase? I have a GP T5050. Is there a pump oil I can purchase from a local store so I can change asap? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark Shoreline - Window Cleaning & Pressure Washing Freeport, Fl. 850-835-2548

Installed and adjusted new unloader. Worked fine for a while. I did notice some slight decline in pressure at times. However, when I lowered the pressure using my variable wand, the pressure dropped all the way down on it's own and a lot of water and pressure backed up and started filling into my water tank. I know a variable wand lowers pressure, but it was only opened very little. What could be causing the pressure to drop and to back up? Thanks, hope I explained okay. Mark

Installed new unloader. My unit is 3500psi, 5gpm. Trying to make sure it is set and adjusted correctly. With trigger depressed and new nozzle, the psi is at 3400psi. When not pressed the pressure spikes at the 4100 psi. Is this spiked pressure okay? Also, while setting the unloader, there was one time when I depressed the trigger and the pressure dropped to almost nothing. But, never did it since. Should I be concerned or just a one time occurrence? Thanks, Mark

My unloader is leaking water out of the knob. The unloader is a AL607. Can this be repaired or needs replacement? Is it difficult to replace or repair? No repair shops within 70 miles of my area. Thanks, Mark

Thanks, I'll order a new unloader today. I think I can do it-- have no choice. Mark

What size hose runs through the coress wand? Need to make sure it will draw chemicals. Thanks for the tip on using a nozzle with a larger bore to reduce drift. Will this help on windy days? And with a larger bore, will it still shoot as far? Thanks, Mark

All I need is a recommendation for a telescoping wand. I have been in the biz since 1999. Don't mean to be a smart ass, but I know what the hell I am doing. The telescoping wand enables me to downstream chemicals much higher, and it helps on windy days. Originally I x-jetted, but now I downstream. Thanks, Mark

Washed a house today that had a lot of Ipe decking under the covered porches and in the screend porch. Some of the deck was stained. Although we thoroughly wet the decking prior to applying our mixture, the deck spotted and faded in some sareas especially where the mixture may have pooled. When dry the surface is not uniform. I did infrom the customer of possible spotting/fading in my quote so there is no problem. I am trying to educate myself on this type of decking. Can Ipe be stained-- seems the stain was removed. Was this due to improper prep work prior to the staining? Any advice on how to limit this type of spottimg in the future. Also, how can I make the deck more uniform? Thanks, Mark

Hi all. Been in the business since 1999- 8 yrs in New Orleans; 3 yrs in Florida. I would consider myself a pretty good operator/owner as I try my best to give my customers quality dependable service, operate with honesty and integrity, and take all necessary steps to limit damage to plants/property when performing our services. I need some advice. Since moving to the gulf coast 3 yrs ago, I have had several problems with damaged plants and trees. I recently washed a house using a mix of 2.5 gal 10% chlorine, 2.5 gal H2O, and 1 cup Simple Cherry. Five days later, I pass by the house and notice several oak trees with brown leaves. It doesn't look good. I thought I saturated the greenery good enough. I have never in 11 yrs had damage to oak trees. Is it possible that salt deposits from the gulf make the greenery more sensitive to the mixture? Also, I suspect the green will return in time as I do not think the trees are dead. I am bummed, and my confidence is rattled. Feel like a piece of sh*t. Time to call the customer. Any advice? Thanks, Mark

Hoping someone can help me out. Today was the first time I ran my unit since a recent hard freeze. I keep my unit in the garage, but the water in the hoses froze when traveling from my house to the job. Now my pressure hose pulsates/cavetates. I thought it may be the water source, so I ran it off my tank- did not correct the problem. In-line filter is okay. Could it be the pump or unloader. I am trying to fix it myself as the closest repair center is 60 plus miles away. It is a 5gpm, 3500 psi, hot water unit. Thanks, Mark Mastio Shoreline- Windows Cleaning, Pressure Washing, & Dryer Vent Cleaning Freeport, Fl.

John, with Russ's help, I removed the valves and found 1 of the valves to be damaged. Hopefully, new valves will correct the problem. Thanks for the advice. Also, thanks Russ for your help in guiding me as I removed the valves. You helped me out tremendously. My cold water unit pulsates when the pressure hose is open and not connected to the gun. I removed the valves on this unit also to check for damage. Valves looked okay. However, when I attach the gun and use a nozzle, there is no pulsating. I checked the pressure using a gauge and it is steady at 3200psi (The unit is 3500psi, 4gpm). Is it normal to puslate with an open hose? Thanks, God bless! Mark

Looking for some advice on how to handle a situation I ran into. I washed a home which I have done once before with no problem. However, during the washing the customer noticed water dripping from a downstairs AC vent. I have no idea as to how the water got into the house. The only thing I can think of is while I was washing the porch above the room with the leaking vent, water somehow got into an opening on the flooring or wall and ran along the ductwork to the vent. The carpet beneath the vent is soaked and there is a water mark around the edge of the vent. I did not do anything different than I normally do when washing this house. The customer was cool about it, but I am going to take care of any cleaning, painting, etc. My questions: - do any of you get a waiver signed in case of an accident happening due to a structural defect? Could someone forward me a copy? - should I really be liable for this incident since it may not have been due to anything I did? I am going to take care of it. Any insight or advice.
