Hate: Going to the Bathroom Love: Great food and Wine

Finally finished one of rained on decks last night. ( 9 trips). It poured two days ago. So yesterday while going to a new job the trees are still dripping water from the night before I turn around on this street, and 2 painters are painting the side of a house( i can see its wet) ? I understand their frustration to complete a job! I have used unorthodox methods to complete work because of moisture but with a product that s not going to fail .

Ease of maintenance and what the product actually does to the wood should be the number one concern for a home owner. -

Solid nightmare of the week.
James replied to RPetry's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Rick ,just almost completed a deck that I started two weeks ago. Have not been able to stay more than 3 hours at the darn deck until today. Though it rain a bit all day to day! ( screw moisture meter'S). A piece of art! I took off 90 percent of 3 coats solid on the floor and 70% on the spindles. Martha Stewart would be proud of this one. It looks like an antique deck . Leaving some paint on the spindles mixed with RS looks Kool. This is my fourth one with this trend intended. The deck was damp and took a load of oil........ -

Guy's I am getting Killed with STORMS. I never had so many jobs rained ON! What are the odds a pop up thunder storm hits the same spot at the same time I'm at the deck just finishing up ? There is no end in site to this pattern where in with storms. Yesterday my guy calls and he's finishing up and a down pour comes for 10 minutes..........I hate wood care .......!!!

Solid content is important for non drying oils because it rebulks the wood fibers. You will see this less when you have a drying oil mixed with a NDO( nondryingoil). I think Bakers is 60 to 65% solids. RS 85%. TWP has a94% down to a 40 with thear series. AC is 50% NDO and 25% drying oil ( linseed). Some of these numbers maybe a % off .- 224 replies
