James replied to PressurePros's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Rick , I just completed " Jeff Becks " Lake home . A cedar English slime endeavor. -
People in general unless they belong to the club( are dis-abled, handicapped ect. or have a child born with disablities " mental retardation") are ignorant to the life struggle's of that person and the family. I have a daughter with severe handicap's. ( I won the 2004 PWNA Spot Light of the year Award which isn't recongnized on the web ?) for building a play ground named for my daughter that is called a "boundless playground "Maeve's Dreamland" A handicapped accessible playground that is the most popular play ground in the area. These playground's are designed for the handicapped. It took four years and 200 grand in donation's to build. However ; The more intelligent the people we've delt with over the years . The more ignorant they become! More Like a part of societiy which wants these Handicapped people best kept aside. As a parent of a mental retarded child I want harsh words not new words!!! This down play's our plight and getting services. Eat me!! I did not read C T

I guess I love to hate cedar. I got a 27 hundred dollar cedar job from stopping for lunch. The couple took me home for dessert. They threw a competitor off the job. -

James replied to Tim UK's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Tim, jolly good effort and all that stuff !! Cheer's and Table's !! I have a couple of customer's that like " the English Green Slime Garden Look". I converted these people to like the benches " White and Antique looking" Take 12% bleach and a squirt of soap - straight- apply to teak and let sit for 5 min's rinse with no pressure. Re-apply if mold is still there. Again no pressure. England will be calling with the results you achieved by following the BDA. Bleach Dweller's of America !!!! And Teak master.. Diamond Jim BDA -

Wet weather in New England
James replied to James's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I was in the middle of a cedar oiling 2nd coat. When the rain came in 12 hours early And a redwood maint. The next day the rain was to hold off till mid night. I waited till noon to let the decks dry off and headed out an hour drive. Got half way there and it started raining again. Drove there anyway ! It was misting and half the deck was done already. Did it (redwood old growth ). The cedar is a mess. 5 inches of rain today thru tommorow. I hate woodcare!!! -

James replied to Tim UK's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Those are teak very easy to clean and maintain with out teak oil. Teak oil makes it more difficult to maintain. -

Wood type ID
James replied to JEAPAINT's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
When you put oil into WRC the red color will come out. WRC is difficult to match colors because of this. -
Wood type ID
James replied to JEAPAINT's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
That is WRC did one yesterday. Bleach didn't do that. Age and the sun did plus when WRC is dry it looks like that. When its wet or oiled the colors come out. -
Wood type ID
James replied to JEAPAINT's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
First is cedar( not AY or port orford)- second is a hardwood most likely a mahog.
