Everett if you took a moisture reading it should registure a higher moisture content ? In Nov and Oct the moisture levels go way up. -

you used a stripper ? was there a finish ? It looks like the wood needs more oil except for the boards that are dark. The oil might not have penitrated. How much oil per sq ft did you use. You might have to sand those boards to remove the finish and re-oil. -
It won't hurt to try a sample of that stuff in a small area you can reach. Other wise Shake by shake cleaning and a lift. Once its cleaned you can start a maint. program to control the mold.

I find this subject bizarr- Sorry Im having major computor proplems and I'm out of touch. First I told Russel what I used Wood Tux for and that was to SEAL IN READY SEAL IN CERTAIN APPLACATIONS -Last year or the year before ?. It's funny that He's come out with a two step method? Any oil can be sealed in with a filmer. Been doing it for years !!! I still use ABR a great product and I'm one of their certifide applicators. Some of my best decks our with ABR. I've been Sealing in Ready Seal for Years with filmers as a base so I find much of this a joke. Or that nobody lissens. Russel isn't Briliant as Beth said. I find that Wood Tux has had a lot of problems. And now has a info -mercial going with out credibility. And now the people who try to dis- credit products like RS want to use a similar oil but seal it in and call it " Brilliant. " I guess I'm Brilliant- Been doing it for year- !!!!!!! -
Beth, That was today. Over this past year how much of problem did it cause? Having to change what you use change marketing and getting use to other products.?

Rod I know you have had great results with Wood Tux;However, There isn't any old Wood Tux, The thick formula was put on a diet to make it thin (the one day woodcare diet). You have had great sucsess with the product, but who's using it today?

Streak Free Window Cleaner.... yeah right!
James replied to Mike's topic in Window & Gutter Cleaning
I have been a widow cleaner for 20 year's- It's the human not the solution that achieve's streak free windows- so alot of practice is the only way to see results.- Give the same solution to ten people ten different results.... -
Mike I have also done these- I tell custmers I will remove 80 to 90 % of the stain- Some colors blend in and you can't notice after a month when using Ready Seal. Or after the first coat I take a drill with a wire brush attachment and remove more stain. But most customers like the Dis-stressed antique look they didn't know how to achieve!!

If you are going to maintain the house your self- the easier way to go are products by TWP , Ready Seal , or ABR. These preservation products don't form a film and are much better to re- apply. If you strip a product off why put something back you have to strip again ?

It,s quicker to get a coat hanger-- but I think you have a new hobby- BoBing for HAIRLOST - This is not a winning ticket !!!!!!

600 sq ft deck - PW
James replied to Tronman's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I don't understand the concept of using a stripper diluted which is harsher to wood than bleach at any rate ? please explain ? Ken I see this all the time I'm not picking you out... Are just more comfortable using a harsher chemical because you strip alot . Or you don't no how to use bleach ? -
Paul - cambara is of the most difficult woods to master the oils recommended do not do it just-us. The Assuy and other stuff work like crap on this wood. What do you rekamendo ?

wood defender
James replied to tropical wave's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Anything that has a drying agent or hardener in it has to be a wet on wet application. Or a one coat application. If it dries the second coat will lie on top of the first. Wood Defender has silicone in it. I have not use it. Ready Seal has no hardener in it. Put on as much as the wood can take. -
Defurring Pad
James replied to RCBill's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Arnold Shwarzneger(spelling) just came out with "girl-ly pad's". For those of you who fur up wood when you didn't mean it. LOL I use some stuff from the stone industry. If you look at harsher industries ( material) their lesser abrasives work on wood. This could be a tip ? -
