  1. I'm getting old.. Change is harder for me to adjust to. Since Beth changed TGS you can see that it's got more advancements in place. My problem is I'm having a hard time getting use to the change.

On the brighter side--- The more I come here the more I'm getting use to this.

How are you other guys making out with TGS's change?

Are you looking for anything in particular? Some things have moved around.

  2. Ice has been building up at our garage door and freezing there, the snow is melting off cars over night and running in that direction. I should have kept up on it more. I chipped away at the ice a few weeks ago and then again tonight. I noticed that tonight, the top layer of the cement flaked off. It's the are where the cement is taper down to meet the driveway. It's very thin flaking however I am upset that I did this and want to repair it this spring so it doesn't get worse.

Do I just use quickrite cement and trowel it until it gets smooth? Or should I use something else? Would sealing the garage floor with a good cement sealer help as well?

    Thanks,

  3. I used one can of Easy Off heavy duty last night in the darkest area and left it over night, I will clean it up tonight and see how it works. Like you said, the oil is in the pours of the cement and I don't think it's possible to get it completely out but I want to try some things before covering it up.

This area where the spill happened is in the corner of the basement where the oil tank sits; we plan on finishing off the other half of the basement at some point as the way it was designed one half is utilities (oil tank, boiler mate, furnace) and the other half is open with the exception of the well pump and electrical box.

  4. Thanks Beth and Adrian,

I will try your suggestions. Just to make sure, this will work for oil that has soaked into the concrete, right? You can rub it off with your hand as it has saturated. We haven't moved in yet so no worries on Marbles. :)

BTW, I wish we had people in our area that could help with this. :)

Edit: TSP, I assume you mean trisodium phosphate? If so, what/where can I buy this?
