I could tell with pics of the cabinet interiors,the parts you don't see when you open the doors.I wouldn't worry about it,you have a nice looking kitchen.I just come from a custom build background and prefer the quality that come with them. I have installed a lot of HD & Lowes kitchen that were beautifil once complete.

Yes they actually like the ebony/black look. What you are looking at in the PDF is beautiful and not what I would call black.There maybe some black tint in the stain or even a brushed black glaze,but this is not IMO black. I hate painetd cabinets,I mean really build a nice set of boxes with quality lumber to cover it up with paint.And glazed or distressed cabinets are even worse.Why on Gods green earth do people this that glazed cabinets with a million little screw dents and holes poked in them look good.Someone please tell them that there interior designer is an idiot.STOP THE MADNESS>

Fife, There are true black tinted stains.To get the desired color that the customer wanted on cabinets it involves hand staining then a sprayed on toning application.It verges on looking like black paint.It's not something I personally like.I prefer to see the natural grain of wood and like cherry colored stains on most furniture.I also have just about zero use for anything other maple when building cabinets and furniture.I love the way it looks,works,and finishes. I've been in and out if cabinet shops since I was in my late teens.I have found that if I think it's ugly as a mud fence customers will love it,I love building and installing,but hate with a passion the finish work.I also hate counter top building and installing.At one time I was certified to do solid surface counters with 2 companies and formica with 2 other.I would rather have my toe nails pulled out than build and install any kind of counter tops.

Jarrod, Those had better not be prefab cabinets.I'll kick you so hard............lol.Looks good. During the summer I was lending a hand in a friends cabinet shop a couple of days a week.I was build 3-4 kitchen simulateously,as well as,helping him install. The nature look with granite is the big thing right now.Also black stain is huge here.We did 1 kitchen that ended at $100k by the time granite and flooring were done.

Mike, If you are set on granite(nice choice by the way)ask around to see who sells remnant pieces.These pieces are left over from large jobs and on occasion are still in full slabs.This doesn't mean that they are damaged or inferior in any way.The cost saving will astound you.

Now Ken,my wife works with me both in and out of the office.I also have a 15 yr old step daughter that has been out on fleet detailing jobs with us to earm her text messaging.She has since decided the chores around home are easier than working for me. I have 3 children of my own(2 girls and a boy) that at some point will want to have something that I just won't want to pay for and they to will have the chance to earn it if they want.I think teaching them a good work ethic builds character.

Tony, Just who/whom is it that you suggest we get advice from?Most,not all,but Most who charge for learning have the almighty dollar on their minds and could care less about what a student of their teaching take away from a course. These so called leaders of our industry you speak of aren't here offering advice to the noobies,nor are they here helping those of us with 3-5 yrs experience attain higher goals for our companies.They all have personal agendas they push through a few puppets while they sit back and watch the chaos unfold.Some even go as far as denouncing this format of learning,when they themselves have gleaned what they can from it at every opportunity. I applaud the guys who are trying to raise the bar by hosting RT meetings and Grass Roots events.The are the true leaders of PWing at this time.Why?because they want to see small businesses in this trade succeed,they are trying to give the most accurate info they can in a neutral environment where everyone can learn. Where have you been?Why do you only pop into the BBS world a few times a year? It's a double edged sword.If you are going to cry foul you should at the very least put yourself out there for Q & A as to why you think it's wrong.Don't draw the line in the sand then not cross it to prove your point.

They say it is illegal to hire them, why not start with the first person they come in contact with, the person who is going to rent them a place to live? make that illegal too, and no cars, bank accounts, drivers licenses, no jobs, no free education and medical, no baby born here becomes American etc There are more and more towns adopting these laws because our federal government is failing us so poorly in this area.I applaud them for making a stand.

When my grand-father immigrated here from Finland in the early 1900's he came through Ellis Island.To become a citizen he had to renounce his citizenship to Finland,learn english,learn US histoy etc. He was a proud American until his death in 1958. This is how it should still be!!!!

We can blame American consumers as a large reason American business is as it is. Businesses as a core have one goal: large profits. EVERY business owner here does it. Even if you tout your higher wages for employees as a humanitarian display of virtue, you are really doing it because you recognize that you can retain that talent and in the long run it will make you more money. There is no conspiracy to pull anything over our eyes or to change our country. It is our drive for cheap commercial goods and services that push businesses to find new and innovative ideas to meet our demands. Manufactured goods are 2/3 labor cost and 1/3 material cost (roughly). So the next time some fat blooded American says "they took my jorb" you can say "quit being so damned cheap and start supporting American commerce!" because until we stop demanding cheap goods, we won't stop getting imported goods / labor. Walmart is the culprit.The mentality they project upon businesses they deal with has spread to consumers like a virus.

Here us an interesting excerpt from an article about the recent raid in Colorado. Please read the footnote carfully and tell me americans don't want to work. ICE raided the one out here and carted off 210 illegals. The raid was part of an ongoing investigation into identity theft rings, turns out they have been following the trails and they are now going after the end users who are buying the stolen identities, thus the raid on the plants and the arrests going on beside the standard deportations. Anyways some quotes from what is going on : As relatives watched strings of illegals being led out of the plant in plastic hand cuffs - "Why do they have to treat them like criminals?" Because they are criminals! From a husband of one of the illegals arrested and facing charges for identity theft " my wife is a law abiding citizen, she never had nothing worse than a traffic ticket in 10 years. She bought a fake identity back in Kansas 10 years ago, we never knew it was a real person!" Well buying an identity should have been a tip off that it was wrong. From a relative who works at the plant talking to a union rep (note that a lot of people didn't show up for work and weren't caught in the raid yet) "should we go into work tomorrow, is it safe?" Rep - "I would report to work as normal.", relative - "But how do we know it's safe?" Another words I don't want to get deported because I to am here illegally. From a relative watching the arrests - "Why don't they just leave us alone!" So you can continue to rob americans who want to work of the jobs they obviously want to do. Directed at a group of USA citizens applauding and cheering the raid - "Don't you people have any class?Yes,but we are tired of losing jobs to those not in our country legally Don't you have any hearts?Again yes,but we want to feed our families also,and when you rob legal U.S citizens of jobs we just get pi$$ed These people are doing the jobs nobody wants to do!" Horse hockey,this company found out they could pay illegals less money,that is the only reason you had a job.Go home immigrate here legally then I won't have a problem with you. **foot note - the following day Swift representatives held open employment to fill the missing jobs at a few local places in town, lines were reported to be out the doors for people applying for the now available jobs. Those applying reportedly were bringing multiple forms of ID to make sure there was no doubt they were US citizens and fully eligible and willing to work and fill the rolls of the illegals who were doing jobs nobody wanted!

I agree the powder coat on the cox reels leaves a lot to be desired.It's more like a heavy coat of paint instead of powder coat. Our cox reels look bad,but still function like they should. I do need to replace one of the locking pins and both brake straps.
