Dear IRS: Enclosed is my 2005 tax return showing that I owe $3,407.00 in taxes. Please note the attached article from USA Today, wherein you will see that the Pentagon is paying $171.50 for hammers and NASA has paid $600.00 for a toilet seat. I am enclosing four toilet seats (value $2,400) and six hammers (value $1,029), bringing my total remitted to $3,429.00. Please apply the overpayment of $22.00 to the "Presidential Election Fund," as noted on my return. You can do this inexpensively by sending them one 1.5" Phillips Head screw (article from USA Today detailing how HUD pays $22.00 each for 1.5" Phillips Head Screws is enclosed for your convenience.) It has been a pleasure to pay my tax bill this year, and I look forward to paying it again next year. Sincerely, A Satisfied Taxpayer.

Silly lady, don't you know breeding dogs is an act of love of the breed, not for profit. The last Wiem(Gracie) I had came from a champion blood line both hunting and show dogs sides. The guy showed me the cost of her vet care, food, shots, tail docking, etc. etc. After he deducted all of the cost from what I paid for her he made about $100.I got her for $500 because she was the runt of the litter but,her other litter mates brought prices between $750 and $1100. The guy that owns Gracie now called the other day to say he was going to breed her and I could a puppy if I wanted one.I really do,they are great dogs.Dave O and Scott can both attest to what wonderful pets they are.

How about Sasha? The dog is beautiful, but Roger needs a pedicure.
-
No,the guy really asked. We don't do post constsuction brick so the numbers didn't register with me until later. I told him no thank you then and will if he calls back.
-
Here in Mayberry, "Hicks" are all that call.
-
Celeste. I was recently asked if we could clean brick for $30 per thousand. Is that a fair price?

I think this is one of the funniest things I have ever read. Jon maybe we can get the science world to make a new classification for you, "Ultra Honkey" We sun screen in the truck year round.Angela has slipped up behind me more than once to slap sunscreen on my neck and arms. I have always tanned very dark without burning and take it for granted sometimes.
-
Too funny. At least the Green Cove hicks aren't bothering you.

When I worked in the cabinet building business we were installing new cabinets in an addition to an existing school in Sanford,Fl.They ordered new cabinets for a lower level of the old bulding. When were about to go down the stair the janitor flip on the lights and the entire floor(20x20 room) was moving, covered from wall to wall(thousands of them) in large warf rats. It looked like they had laid brown carpet that was alive. No,the cabinets didn't get installed,at least not by us.The janitor told us on the weekends they would shoot them with a shotgun and remove them but,by monday morning it was rat infested again.I suggested they fill the room with concrete and forget it ever existed.
-
Jeff, Share your rat story,I'll share mine.

Hitch covers would work. http://www.hitchcorner.com/drawtite_hitch_covers.htm -
http://www.newpig.com/en_US/main.jhtml?catId=2CPOPIGBLUESOCKS&page=browse/capture.jhtml&ppanalysis=SEO&email=us Try finding some pool cover weights that you fill with water for berms or flat discharge hose.

I was given 2 stainless steel fire exstinguishers today, they are the air charged type usually filled with water. Could I covert them to be used as chem sprayers? I have an air tank I can use to chareg them with while on a job site. Do you think a regular pump up sprayer wand will hold up? Or would making a wand out of PVC work better?
-
Jeff, Use the fire hose with some blue pigs sock in front of them. A couple rows of them in additon to the berm should pretty much eliminate water intrusion.

Check this out

Shane, I read somewhere that after a heavy rain this stufff is pretty much gone anyway. -
Alan, The pics are long gone from your old thread. How has the FE worked out for you?I also thought there was a need for a longer hose but, would prefer some kind of adjustable tip versus having to stop and change tips. How much air(psi) does it take to charge them? If I can get these to work,I can likely get at least 2 more.

Need some help on laying out trailer

Rchard, The wheelie bin would act as your float tank. You would need to install a float valve near the top and a water connect at the bottom to feed the pressure washer. http://www.merrillfoxenterprises.com/ The comapny listed above builds a set up to work witha wheelie bin and ships to the UK.You might want to give them a call and see what they recommend. I would get atrailer with at least 12" sides to keep your equipement from spilling over the sides. -
We did this for a McDonalds(kitchen arae) last year.I couldn't believe that amount of built up grease that came off of a floor that is mopped a couple times a day.We used berms and a shop vac for the bulk of the water.Drains in the floor area big help also. The worst part is that it only takes a couple of days for the floor to get nasty and slick again.

Ask a stupid question and you get a stupid answer.
squirtgun replied to Washaway's question in The Club House
The stupid questions I can tolerate(even if I'mlaughing myself silly inside). For me it's a chance to pass on a little education to a potential customer. The comment that really gets me is."Wow, I never realized so much work went into washing a house.I though you just sprayed some bleach and left." Keep in mind I explain to customers in advance what we do when we wash their house. It's kind of like asking a guy who just fell off a bike if it hurt. -
Jeff, Caustic beads need to be handled in the same fashion as sodium hydroxide. PPE use is very important. They make a very potent degreaser depending on how strong you mix.

How do you handle touch ups?

Can purified water damage pwers?
squirtgun replied to Richard Ivy's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
It may not damge the inner workings of the pump, but if you run a hotwater skid I believe that it can cause premature rusting in the coil. -

Carey, "Newbie" is the term most use to decribe those just breaking into the industry with little or no experience. Most don't use it in a derogatory sense. I think the shortness you are talking about pops up when "newbies" haven't bothered to do any research for themselves. Most BBS have a search function that is under utilized. I don't think any of us have problem answering questions, but we would like to know they have tried to help themselves,as well as,have them be accepting of the advice we offer. There are occassion where questions have been asked and the poster got rather upset with the response.
