I saw this quote and wondered if others have this philosophy. There is only one boss.THE CUSTOMER! And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else!

When did the new baby arrive?Last I recall it was just the 2 girls.

Philip, Jeff was the poster,I was the replier. If this were a solid vinyl fence I would have also suggeted using the xjet. However, with 4 rails you'll be spraying a huge amount of chems on the ground. Also, Jeff states there is live stock around so controlling chem exposure to a minimum would possibley keep help prevent making any of the property owners animals sick.

We do what we can to help people who need it.Things have been rough this year both personally and finacially.Often times it seems we are the one that could use the help but without fail we somehow manage through the difficult times. It takes some sacrifices to do the things we do but if it were mine and Angela's families or our friends we would hope someone could help them in the same way. Most people we have helped don't know where it comes from because we don't do it for the recognition and only a few on the BBS know some of what we have done. I have often thought about using the good deeds for PR but for us it's about the joy of helping someone in need.I can't force myself to use it as a form of marketing. We do very much appreciate the acknowledgement.Thanks.

Jeff, 1st of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! We gave a price on about 2000 linear ft earlier this year. This isn't as easy a job as it appears, remember you have to clean both sides, posts and tops and bottoms of the rails.I gave a price around $.50 a linear ft.(per side)/plus chemicals. The customer freaked(funny the people with $$$ always do.)and said they would do it themselves(the wife did it all with clorox and a scrub brush.she said it took her a month to complete). If you get the job use pump up sprayers to apply chem to keep waste to a minimum.

Hose Reel Cart and Trailer Pics
squirtgun replied to svp07's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I have one small suggestion for the trailer.Add some kind of vent for gas fumes to escape from. Other than that it looks great. You did a super job at making the most of teh space. -
Great Job Mathew and everyone else involved.

My last weim came from a breeder in Perry,Ga. He helped bring the breed into the U.S. back in the 60's he gets a premium price for them, but they come from great blood lines(mothers are show dogs/fathers are field trial champs). If you are interested I can get his number.I'm sure he could work out shipping a pup to you.

Dave, Thankfully you got to him in time.I think I have told you in the past that I'm also a Weim lover.I have had 2 and can't wait until I get the next one.

Should it smell like bleach?

Some detailing clay can get the paint smooth again. Then just keep it washed and waxed to keep it looking smooth. -
Which to buy, X-JET or M-JET Nozzle???
squirtgun replied to mdspowerwashing's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I heard your supplier went out of business. If it's $89 online that means here in Mayberry they will want $169.99. What is the % it draws? -

Mel, Where can I locate a source for the injector? Or does the info stop at the Fl/Ga state line? -
Which to buy, X-JET or M-JET Nozzle???
squirtgun replied to mdspowerwashing's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Ok....I guess that means I'll have to find one and set myself free of the extra burden. CCPC, We did the cart thing for while, that is until the hose reel mounted on top sliced open my right bicep.Missed one of my tattoos by an inch. Not to mention it was hard to handle on yards with less than perfect terrain. The cart sits in the shop and the hose reel is now used for extention cords on the rig. Our xjet has been a great asset to us and will continue to be,but if I can add another useful tool to the arsenal why not? -

cost? The xjet is great but one less hose and bucket to mess with would be great. There is an adjustable downstreamer on the skid but it's never been used. It's between the pump and coil I think and I'm not sure what % it draws. -

Mel, How much is the downstreamer you are using? How about a pic of it and how it's installed on your rig. -
Should it smell like bleach?
squirtgun replied to Neil_Asheville's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Neil, The buytl is a good cleaner for gutters and grease, and it won't hurt your mix, just be care to prevent it from drying on windows.I think what you are missing from the mix is a true detergent. Even if you resorted to using some kind of laundry detergent you would notice a much more pleasant smell. Not to mention it will give your mix more cling on vertical surfaces. We prefer RPC citracleen as our detergent. -
I'm in the same boat Craig is.I can hit the green on a par 4 fairway with my tee shot, but it takes 6 more strokes to get the ball in the cup. I rarely play anymore. When I was in my early 20's I had a fair long and short game (around a 10 handicap).Too much softball has killed my golf swing.

Cleaning Bad Mildew/Old Stain
squirtgun replied to seymore's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
It's going pretty good.We still have some gaps in our schedule but we have been wide open the last few weeks. I put in a resume with the Dept. of Navy for a civilian job at the Marine Corp Logistics Base about 20 miles from here.If I get the job we will scale our business back to part time again. I will be work in the repair division rebuilding the equipment coming back from Iraq(Hummers,LAV's,tanker trucks etc.)One of the position I applied for is foreman for the pressure washing/steam cleaning shop. This base also builds armor and air conditioning kits for the Hummers already in Iraq. That shop works 12 hr days,7 days a week trying to get our troops the kits so they have some protection from road side bombs. -

Horizontal or Vertical coils
squirtgun replied to shrido's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
We have vertical on our skid. The down side is if it is raining hard it wets the insulation.A simple fix is to have a cap made for it out of stainless steel. I have heard that the horizontal will build up condensation and cause the housing to rust, but I have never seen one in person. -
Seems that I miss a lot when I'm not online. Our computer and DSL modem got a lightening strike and I'm not sure when we will have them all sorted out.Business is fair nothing extraordinary to report. We have been doing some clean outs for people who are selling their homes.Nice pay but,WOW, are people slobs. We did have about 80 low income homes in our community flood from what was left of Dennis and we have decided to donate the time and labor for 10 housewashes to homeowners. To qualify he have to be homeowners not renters, they can not be receiving insurance compensation, the home must be restorable and they must sign a waiver stating that our company is not liable for damages that pre exist due to the damages caused by the water to the homes interior or exterior or damages that cleaning may cause.I also will refuse a cleaning if I feel it's not a safe environment for us to work in or around.

We did the roof and house wash on this place today,Angela also cut the grass. The house belongs to an elderly couple we attend church with. The lady has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks(small stroke) and the man has heart and respitory problems. The best part was we did it at no charge and when they weren't home so it looks like the cleaning elves stopped in

I guarantee if they don't pay I'll break their arm.........LOL. I agree with Cujo. A not satisfied or you don't pay guarantee will likely get you burned more than once. There are homeowners that are looking for an angle to get something for nothing.
