DI, is anyone using this?
squirtgun replied to First Impressions's topic in Window & Gutter Cleaning
Deionized water...it give a spot free rinse on windows and cars...no need to squeege. -
We started out using homebrews 2 years ago and are just now getting called back for repeat service. Not because they are wrapped up in mold/mildew but just because it's time for them to be cleaned again. No more scrubbing than if I were using any other premixed soap. Why would you get any wetter or anymore tired? You are simply adding laundry detergent(soap) and cascade(rinse aid to prevent window spots) instead of some product you purchased through "Joe's House of Pressure" Citriclean & Emulsifier are basically soaps that when added to chlorine help add cling to your mix, breakdown and suspend the dirt up off the surface for a clean rinse. But honestly I do prefer citrcleen. We have our basic mix down and 85% of the time it handles whatever we need it to.If not we adjust to meet the need.

I agree with you Jon. It's no coincidence that the state failed to make a case the jury could convict on. If they had all of the book and lecture deals for those involved(lawyers, judge etc.) would not have nearly as lucrative. They locked up Martha Stewart for insider trading and let a child molester walk free.

Weird coxreel or I am blind :)
squirtgun replied to Aries EC's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
The handle must have bent during shipping. If you feel comfortable bending it back straight you can be using this reel in a a few minutes. If not I suggest you call Cox and explain the problem and see if they will send you a replacement handle. It is the correct handle for the reel, we have 2 of these reels and they have been money well spent. -
Tron, There is nothing wrong with asking for pricing help,as long as, you remember what other charge may not be the average for somewhere else in the country. The house above would be a $215 wash for us w/out concrete.Add another $125 for concrete. If the deck is a full restoration(strip, brighten, stain) we would bid it around $865,for a percarb wash only $200. Your prices seem to be right.Remind the homeowner that cheap work isn't good and Good work isn't cheap.

Try this trick for a quick cool down,I have been using it for years playing softball. add 1 small bottle of aromatic ammonia(buy it at a drugstore) to a small cooler of water and ice.Dip a hand towel in and squeeze out the excess water then drape over your neck. Also wipe your face and inhale the aroma of the towel for refreshing boost.

All this time I thought using it inline was the easy way(it is for me at least).I guess when you are big enough to sell shade like me you just dont notice the extra weight. -

Acrylics ..... I can't take it anymore!

If the guy cleaning was plugging into the power that should have been a clue to the homeowner that he might not have hired the right guy. Poor wiring isn't really the fault of the contractor but it is one of the reasons we all carry insurance.I have started having homeowner flip the outside outlet breakers off while we work.Explain the risk and they will be happy to do it. As for the guy who killed the woman in NY.Yes,it happened, he was an employee of a painting company that also offered PWing as part of their services. -

I will never understand why people insist that a BV adds so much extra weight.Give me a break the thing at best weighs 1 pound. My wife woks with me daily and she never complains that the weight of the BV is killing her when she is using the surface cleaner or wand.I'm a big guy so I don't notice any difference. -
I hope Mike will share here. While I truely like the speed the Xjet gave us I am tired of pulling extra hose and buckets around when doing housewashes.

Has anyone heard of this stuff?
squirtgun replied to PressurePros's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Gold, Silver and Bronze. All the chemical processes are the same. Strip, clean and brighten.] The difference come with the sealers that customers are offered. Ready Seal for Gold. Olymipic Max for Silver Nothing for Bronze(this is a basic strip and clean type deal) -

Ken, I don't chase decks anymore but from reading the website it seems to be inline with other quality seals available to contractors. The decks we used Olympic Maximum on last year still look great and when the time comes for those to be cleaned and resealed they'll get Maximum again. One of the largest problems in the south is over coming the myth that PT lumber is maintenace free.People just don't have a clue how much work is involved in restoring a neglected deck nor do they want to pay for it.We offer 3 levels of deck restoration and every customer so far has chose the Silver or Bronze package. -
Mike, I think doing buiness under several names would be confusing. If you advertise in the yellow pages have them list your company under all of the headings you feel will help you attract customers.(pressure washing, cleaning, wood care etc>)

Mike, If they don't have it in stock they can order it our store orders for us and has in within 2 days.[
