What's in your Tool Box(s)
splashandash replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
full toolbox with enough tools to rebuild any of my machines. unloaders, igniters, pumps, hose, fittings, pretty much everything except motor and coil. my lead guy jokes around that nothing can shut us down when we are on the jobsite. -

The pool supply companies carry a product called d-chlor that neutralizes chlorine,if you run 5 gallons through your pump at the end of the day that should work. you would have to unhook your bypass so you don't neutralize your tank of mix. -

Don i did a roof in isleworth last year for a developer that was over 20,000 square foot, and it was the small house on the block. if you have ever been on the butler chain and looked at some of the houses you get a new perspective for filthy rich.

Check and see if you have spark then see if when you crank it your plugs are wet. if it sat for a long time you probably need to go through the carb. if the plugs arent getting gas then most likely the float is stuck in the carb and wont let gas in. -
im setting up a flat bed and want to run a couple pumps off of one big diesel anyone run something like that and have any suggestions or ideas.

Hi Pressure Hose 50/100/200 foot. What do you use?
splashandash replied to usarose's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I use 200 ft sections and 100 ft sections r1 when you start pulling 300 to 400 ft of hose around it gets heavy. r2 is alot heavier at 300 ft than r1 is. but i also carry 50 and 25 ft sections you never no when your going to need another 10 to 20 feet its nice to pull out a little section instead of another 100 ft. -
What method do you use for cleaning Cages?
splashandash replied to Kory's question in Residential Pressure Washing
When i first started years ago i used a flojet for a while until i started downstreaming. imho it put to much chem on the surface you spend more time rinsing plants and such. -
Thank's jeff that's very helpful it's always nice to be able to see how others word things. Do you mind if we change a few things and use it.

When i looked into lining my box truck 10 years ago they wanted 1400 so i didn't do it, one of the worst mistakes i've made in my business. I now have a completely useless box truck behind my shop. Trailers aren't as big of a deal because they are pretty much easily replacable, but if you are running out of a box or pickup truck that is to much of an investment to lose.
