Stay away from hydrofloric acid its to dangerous to chance. ive burned myself with a mixture of hydroflouric and phosphoric it wasnt pretty. was probably the most intense pain in my life. I thought i got it rinsed and nuetralized but about thirty minitues later the pain started i dont know if it was the hydro or the phosphoric but it ate my skin under my fingernails to the bone i thought i was gonna die probably lucky i didnt. needless to say i dont carry any liquid acid anymore.

Fix the water drips they will rot your floor and if left long enough rust your box rails. if you can afford it Linex the floor or epoxy paint it. i went the cheap route with my box truck and now it just sits behind my shop with the box rails completely rusted away and a soggy floor. anybody want a rust bucket.

Cold water for Commercial flat work
splashandash replied to John T's question in Residential Pressure Washing
If you surface clean with cold water then remove gum with hot water you will have wand marks, already tried it. you wont be happy with the results. -
Some painters like the surface stripped to the bare bones, thats alot different than a paint prep. If your going to remove all the paint you need to charge for it because he will probably want you to pick up the paint chips. With such a old house you might be looking at lead based paint, then you will be required to pick up chips. In my experiance painters usually dont want to pay much and expect the world.

Flojet pump problems!!!!!!!!!!!
splashandash replied to John T's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
unscrew the four screws that hold the head on and check the check valves in the pump head it probably picked up trash in it. If it did it wont prime. it doesnt hurt to pull them apart and check them every once in awhile eliminates problems at the job site.
