  1. HD-80 Mixing Instructions

Charlie - can you give me a little breif (PM or Reply) on using HD-80. What safety precautions, how you clean up after it, etc. THanks
  2. HD-80 Mixing Instructions

MMI - have you used this product? What kind of protection do you need when using it? I have a job where I have to strip Sikkens and from some of the posts I've read here, it looks that that's about the only thing that seems to work halfway decent. Thanks
  3. HD-80 Mixing Instructions

Where can I find out more about HD-80? Called a couple local paint stores and they don't carry it. In reading this post, it's almost sounding like it's sprayed on - is that the case?
  4. Nail Stains in Redwood Siding

mkochsch - have you moved out on this project? I'd be very interested in how you proceeded, and then would love to see some pics. I just looked at a house that was sided with redwood, and some of the wood has those "grooves" and fuzz - and I've never dealt with on that was in this bad a shape. It looks to me that there's a whole lot of sanding - so I'm interested if you had to do the same, or your worked it in another way. Thanks
  5. Sikens,

I've got a job that has Sikkens on redwood. Problem is that the owners son did some unsupervised power washing and ended up doing some gouging of the siding. The groove isn't that deep, but needs to be sanded. I've never worked with Sikkens, so my question is, can I just sand and refinish a section? They called me in to potentially strip to the bare redwood, but I'm not sure what product to use. So is HD 80 what I want to tackle this job?
