I don't know if any of you have had this problem with Joe Walters Insurance or not, but I have had them since July 2006. I paid for 1-full year of coverage for my business. The problem is that the insurance company Joe Walters uses keeps sending me bills for payment. This has happened 3-times so far each month. I have called now Joe Walters office 3-times and each time they tell me they will take care of it. It just makes me think, if they have that much problem getting the fellow companies they deal with to get it straight, what would it be like if I ever have to file a claim? I will continue to stay with Joe Walters for coverage but, this is getting annoying. Am I the only one that has had this problem? Hugh

Ok guys, I am now in business and over the past 3-years I have been reading these boards and asking questions to learn. Well now I want to give something back to the board. While researching the web I came across a website where you can email and request a copy of NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards. This is a 424 page 6"X7 1/2" booklet that is free for the asking. I used to carry one of these in my patrol car when I was a Deputy, it is something good to have with you! I email them and recieved my book and a CD of the book also in the mail today. Once again it is free! I attached photos of mine, Go to this website to order yours, you can either download a copy of do like I did and request one in the mail! Here it is: http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npg Enjoy! Hugh

Joel, these type of scams have been going on at ebay for a few years. When I was a Deputy Sheriff, I helped investigate and find & proscute 3-individuals that were pulling scams like this and other types. It sure felt good working with Ebay security to nail these scammers. The best way to check things out, is check the feedback, I never buy from anyone who has less than 50 feedbacks. I also read everyone to make sure they got those feedback from both buying & selling things. Also never, never, click on any button from anyone especially ebay or Paypal that is emailed to you! Like you stated, always go to ebay yourself through their website to check on things of do any transactions. Be safe and cautious! Hugh

Kurt, take a look at one of my articles under " SCRAP BOOK" in this forum. Once there scroll down to post # 82. I have a picture of my enclosed rig and how I had the exhaust vented out the rear of the trailer. Hopefully it will give you some ideas. I didn't want to cut a hole in the roof or floor if I didn't have too. This works pretty good though. Hugh

How much liability insurance do you carry?
copgib replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Documents, Forms & Proofs
I just sent in my money to Joe Walters for $1-Mil per occurance, 2-occurances per year. Also equipment insured for $10,500.00. Total bill per year was $1,200.00 I tried other insurance agencies around me but they either didn't cover PW or didn't respond back to me. Hugh (copgib) -
I hope that more people see this thread so they can order their Chemical Hazard Guides also. Every now and then I stumble onto sometime that could be useful to others beside myself. Take care guys! Hugh copgib

Lights(Halogen) on rigs
copgib replied to VanDiesel99's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Grizzley, how long do you think you could run two(2) 500watt lights with the inverter before charging up the truck battery? Thanks Hugh Copgib@earthlink.net -
Jeff do you know what your yearly taxes will be on that home? I built a 4000sqft home here in Florida and just found out what my taxes will be $4600.00 per year. I almost passed out! I never thought it would be that much. I am paying more than anyone on my street which is 2-miles long! Congrats on the home. Very nice! Hugh

Hey guys I am trying to setup my trailer and need to buy a ladder. I know I have to get one that is rated for my weight but should I get an A-frame or extension ladder. I will be doing roofs and gutters so I would like your input on this subject if possible thanks Hugh
-
Thanks Mel for your input. I will look around for some ladders. Hugh
-
Thanks Barry for your input, I will have to see how far my funds go. Hugh

Mike how have you been? I have been buying alot of equipment including a new truck and 14' trailer enclosed. My budget is starting to get tight so I probably will only buy one ladder right now. So you think a 24' extension would meet most my needs? I don't plan on cleaning any roofs over 2-stories. How has work been? I have decided to start drawing my Sheriff's pension starting this month. Sure going to be nice having that extra money coming in each month. Anyway take care and keep in touch! Hugh

I am in the process of getting my business off the ground. I am building a 42'X45' building that I will keep my chemicals in as well as truck & trailer. Buildings aren't cheap but I budget it in my inital setup cost. hugh
