I have a concrete/landscaping company who wants to possibly sub a condo complex job to me its 20+ buildings, his son has done it the past couple years and is no longer in the PW biz. Ive never done sub work for anyone before. The company is a local company and Ive seen him around, but thats all I know of him. What precautions should I take with a company/person I know little about, how should i write up a proposal/contract to insure I get paid & paid within a timely manner Thanks for any help on this, unless its an PM or HOA, I'm not very trusting and i want to make sure I dont get burnt JL

Alright I dont know if its poop. Check this call out. I got a call on my voice mail at 7PM from a local hotel owner that was refered by a PM I work for. The message was, that she has 94 toilets that have stains in them that they cant get the stains out and she wants me to pressure wash them. Pressure wash them ?????? Alright I know Im not going to pressure wash toilets , but what is used to get stains out of toilets. I'll look at this job just for the heck of it and maybe do something but what? Pressure wash toilets thats a 1st for me:dunno:

My 8GPM I always am having to replace the pressure switch and the thermostat has been replaced 3 times in a year. The pressure swith Bob of PT has found me a larger one, alot more $$$ , but Its suppose to handle up to 14gpm and has directions on how to set it for any gpm between. These pressure switches werent designed for the 8gpm machine. They are going down all the time and I dont run hot water a lot Now I'm looking for a BETTER heavier duty thermostat set up switch and all. Dont really know what to look for ANY HELP. I need something more reliable made for a bigger machine 8gpm I've talked to Dennis at Pressure Pro and he is a great guy and knowledgeable and I'm having my local guy look at the wiring to see if theres a problem so he and dennis can try to figure iof its the switches or wiring, but I'd still like to get better thermostat. Celeste or others On the house I'm building I was wondering about concrete staining/acid I forget what its called. What Im thinking is doing the concrete slad in the kitchen & attached small area just outside of the kitchen. Do you do the slab or do you have to put another coat of cement. Any info on this I'd like to do something different and exciting. Maybe????? Thanks Jeff

God Bless her Marko. I am glad you were there, if you werent you would always feel bad that you weren't. I held my mothers hand and kissed on her on and off for hours right up to her last breathe. She knew my brother and I were there and a few times she forced out the words " I love you". It was horrible to lose such a wonderful women, but I sure am glad we were there for her. Good conversation. I like that Beth and other will watch close. No one is perfect and when your on the inside, sometimes all looks rosey and until someone from outside says something that you finally realize it isnt rosey or the right move. I have seen it in life so many times. I saw it when I was on the Trans Team. There was at least a few times, the Team talked over stuff on several conference calls and it all seemed right, seemed perfect, seemed like a no brainer, seemed like most wouuld support it and then you take it public and get bashed. Quite often the bashing or suggestions were right too. Anyone else real busy this Nov & Dec. I know the northern guys have been slower with the cold, but still know some that are washing here & there. But we are slammed, best Nov ever and Dec is filling up nice, good way to end out the year. How's everyone else doing? I know some of your methods and ideas how concrete should be washed and contained with CWA & EPA, are you going to push for your standards or similar standards on the PWNA either for the western part of the USA or entire country? I'm having a few local guys over for July 4th, throw some horse shoes, steak tip, burgers, drink some beer, light some fireworks. Going to have a PWing rig there just in case we torch one of the lots with a bunch of trees. We can all call it a RT and write it off, heck there will be a rig there

Can't wait for more info. Hey Contractors, this is one you dont want to miss Jack & Matt put a lot into making a great event, learning & networking experience. I met a bunch of contractors that I have never met or heard of before that were a wealth of info. I met the Northeast condo King, guy did tons of multi unit properties and that was only about a 1/3 of his biz Ya and there's a great local bar night spot right down the street that was a ton of fun. I'm horrible with names but a couple contractors, me, my wife and Don Phelps hung there one night and had a blast. Karaoke, shots and chicken wings all night long until about 3am.
