I checked out websites of many manufacturers of vinyl siding Owens Corning, CertainTeed etc etc. In the warrenty, care & maintenance section they all say bleach can be used to clean mold/mildew from siding I'd just like to know who puts this miss infomation out there about it damamging siding. I had more than one residential customer over the years say that there siding company told them not to use bleach Bleach removes mold & mildew plain & simple. Im going to highlight sections of material i printed saying use bleach & send it in with my proposal I wouldnt mind getting this job 38 buildings good sized project JL

Did the awnings yesterday , will post some pics soon. They came out real good, there was mold and pollen on them, a couple small spots the mold was a little thick. Cleaned right up I used RPC Citraclean a little 12% applied with low pressure Xjet, and a low pressure rinse & rinsed again. Everything came out great Heck I wont be afraid of doing awnings in the future Thanks all JL

I was working all day after working the night before until 3 am PWing, I and my guys were tired, I have a real sore shoulder and I was pissing & moaning a little. We are getting my house ready to list for sale, so I was tired moving furniture, because i have some new carpeting & linoleum being put in this morning. I'm thinking what a PITA all this is, My wifes pregnant, real busy business & personal life, the builders of the new house are calliing asking questions, we are picking things out for the new house, have relatives in town, just so darn busy with life. Well I was hungry so I ordered some Italian food from down the street. I went to pick it up and I had a beer (much needed). I go here a lot for food and I was talking to one of the waitresses and she was running her ass off, she's in her 30's has a 3 year old and works 2 fulltime jobs. As I was sitting there and watching this tired women running around like crazy and she sat with me a minute and she was telling me she had to come up with rent for a new place the place she stays the homeowner is moving here and she has to move out after 5 years You know I'm thinking , Im complaining about my busy life and then I just laughed and thought Life is good, and I have it made. Heres this poor women killing her self just to put a roof over her childs head. God bless her she's a hard worker Life is good, just thought Id share yesterday experience with you all. I gave her a $50 tip and she said no. I had her take it and told her to use it Everybody HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! JL

Anybody going to participate in the national boycott that is going to go on Monday for the illegal aliens or the rallys. I'm NOT. I dont like being around that many people breaking the law I just cant figure why they are going to boycott the economy that is giving them work. I was told by many in construction that there has been a lot of immigrants not working this past week out of fear of a immigrtion sweep. I heard they might do it at some of the smaller rallies or take photos of them and get them later, we'll see I'm getting a little sick of seeing some of them holding the American flag upside down

question about pressure washer brands
Jeff replied to TalcottPressureWashing's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Price wise the Pressure Pro series have the best prices and they are good machines. Don P sells them, also the ones Larry mentioned are all good machines. Theres a ton to pick from for sure pick a couple and ask out here about it and best place for prices JL -

Jeff replied to Jarrod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Jeff and Lance, while the work is gratifying, I would drop wood care tommorrow if I could. It's sometimes a thankless niche and it is not the highest profiting one you could pick. The big decks if you could get them all the time I'm sure are worth it. Its just a very hard sell around here. I used to get about 1 out of 10 I bid, it was just to time consuming just bidding the wood. When I 1st started out I liked the wood and I'm sure I would of even got better at doing it, but I just got disgusted bidding them and wasting the gas and my time. Plus its so hard to schedule with rain & all the other hassles. I admire you guys that do such nice wood work, it just drives me nuts now. Keep the pics coming all you wood guys I love to see your work!! As for Jarrods dilemma. Im all for keeping a customer happy, Ive gone back and touched up things on jobs, but sometimes you just cant make someone happy and you have to say see ya -

I think you should go out there and do the whole deck again for free and a free house wash, for all the aggravation you caused this poor women, maybe a free massage & pedicure, then drown the B----. I guess you cant drown her then you wont get a referal Hey Jarrod what are you going to say to her? have a good one JL
