  1. We send all our factories a lot of tech work and God knows what else out of USA Right, so we are losing 100's of thousands of jobs. Now the trades, construction, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, pressure washers , painters etc etc, blue collar jobs usually could make a good living. We lost all these fatorty etc jobs, now we are losing our Trades jobs to cheaper labor, but not only cheaper ther are millions of cheap labor bringing down wages for Americans

So now we are losing everywhere. We cant absorb, millions more. The Gov tells us 12-14 million from mexico, thats bull, I bet its WAY OVER 20 million and counting. We arent going to have jobs for us. Painting industry is getting destroyed, how long before the pressure washing industry gets destroyed

This country was built on immigrants backs, but we cant do it any more, we have lost to mush to mexico & overseas. We are a country that dosent build much any more and now we are a service country that is losing jobs to cheap labor

I dont know how to say it, we just cant keep absorbing milions & millions of people, we let them all in after being illegals, let them in, then there will be millions more, when does it stop, when its to late and we have no jobs

I know illegals right now that are subbing work ($10,000 - $100,000+Jobs)and making good money and they arent paying what I have to pay, they arent paying taxes nothing

Wake up America, we are giving away the farm. We cant help everybody, we need limits

  2. Its usually not a problem at all> I have 2, 8gpm machines on different trailer. I dont haul ANY water at all, well maybe 50-75 gallons. I get to the job, hook up water to house or biz 1st and start the rest of the setting up, I have a 275 gallon tank on one and another 325 gallon tank. Set everything up and start washing, very very very rarely have to stop for water to fill tank

If you dont have water supply on a job and you have to keep refilling, yes I will use a lesser GPM machine

  3. You guys really buy all that propaganda?

How do people get health care if the are not residents? I cant walse in the hospital with out my check book in hand.

Second, there are alot of citizens that will be thrown out of the country, natural born ones.

Its a bigger problem than we all think, people are people.

Sorry, if i couldnt get here legal? well, i would swim here anyway.

We all are from other countrys brother.

Bottom line is we need to make it possible for people to enter our borders legal.

We wont see this till after the election. By then many children and women will suffer.

Ron if we just let everyone in, our country will be to stretched to the limits. Theres reasons there was amounts of people we let in

I would figure half of Mexico would like to come here if we let them. We cant take all those people in, we just cant. We are stressed to the limit now

This country was made by immigrants, but that was a different time

We have legal women & children that are suffering right now. We can not just take care of the world or let the world here and take care of everyone. There will always be suffering, I rather take care of our country and sadly let other countries suffer before our own. Its just a sad truth

  4. Jeff.....Bottom line...... straight from the manual ( if there is one ) words of wisdom. nice!!!

my .02 is this.... as a one man op, there is a very prosperous avenue with wood resto as well. Since I am sure deck washing will be included more often in the resi market. You will see alot of it. Might as well learn the resto side of things. Not that commercial doesn't pay well. But, there can be an overwhelming fatigue whereing so many hats int the commercial side of things as a 1 man op.What always feels best to me is that wood resto has never been on a Net 30, 60, 90. I have actually done better $$$ with resi than comm. But that is just me. Decks pay better.

I guess I just like it simple. Best of luck in whatever direction you go.

Happy New Year to everyone as well...... it's been a while.

You are right commercial or what I like condo type stuff is tough on a 1 man operation

  5. It will drive labor rates through the roof.

    Beth

If labor rates go up, maybe more people will have money to drive the economy and hire someone to pressure wash their houses

Since the feds arent willing to do anything, I say good luck to AZ. Many local & state govs are stressed to breaking point, due to illegals. Ive seen pay checks to illegals, many pay no or VERY little taxes, when legal folks are paying them all

  6. Thanks for all the great advice everyone. I am going to go with at least 5GPM for now. I did see a machine that pumps 5.2 I think that is the front runner.

Call Bob of Pressure Tek, he sells Pressure pro machines, you can get a 5.5gpm machine or an 8gpm for not much $$$ compared to other machines

One of my trailers has 2 - 5.5gpm machines and one water line intake and it feeds a 250 gallon supply tank and 99.9999% of the time we never run out of water, thats two machines running

My other trailers have a 5.5 & an 8 gpm machine each and we keep two water lines going to it, one isnt enough

  7. My biggest sticking point on a 5GPM+ machine is the amount of water i will have to carry. I do not have a big truck and can only pull arund 4500 pounds so I cannot have a big water tank. I won't want a machine that is pumping 5+GPM and is going to suck my tank dry in a matter of minutes. If I had a truck that could carry big water none of this will be an issue but I have to work with what I've got and this truck is all I have currently.

You really should not have to transport water often. You have the tank as a buffer, most areas have 5+ gpm coming out of hose bib of homes & biz, some dont, but you roll up start filling tank and set up and you are ready to go

Please Please research this, if you can only afford 4gpm, fine it will do the work. BUT 5.5gpm I have no problem keeping it supplied with water and when Im done I roll down the road with very little water in the tank

I have 8 gpm machines also, 5.5 is great on house washing. If a house takes 2 hours to clean with a 4gpm, you will knock off a lot of time with 5.5gpm Save at least an 1/2 hr or MORE per house. Add it up 100 house save 1/2 hr thats 50 hours saved you could do another 25-30 homes with the time saved. think of it as 50 hours saved at an average rate of $100 an hour, thats $5K, pays for that machine in no time

Dont worry about carrying a lot of water, you will not need to in 99% of jobs

  8. Kevin,

That is where the problem is with this type of info. It is a recipe for failure. Never mentions Workers Compensation... Never mentions tax witholding, customer cost aquisition, return on investment of marketing, tracking expenses, closing ratios.... list goes on. Nothing about real business fundamentals. This is why our industry is heading toward where painting, landscaping and janitorial is at. Low margins and public perception that is simply cheap labor and no skill. This book will only create a week-end warrior to go out and blemish our industry some more.

I mean telling folks to spray a roof while standing on trailer and having helper drive along is just plain amaturish. Friggin rent a lift and price work accordingly. Telling folks to spray chlorine and dawn detergent with a pump up sprayer... bad news.

    Done with this!

I would never use Dawn............in a pump up sprayer.:)

I agree if there is any bad or wrong info in it, its a bad read, thats it
