"But I honestly do not know if even I could build a business today, in this market."
I Have started PW a about a year and a half ago. I went out and bought profesional equipment, profesional looking estimate uniform (Apearance is everything in business) and was trained by a guy who has been doing it for about 20yrs and very knowlagable with the area as far as PWing goes.
There is no shortage of mold here and there is a lot of PW's. Mainly guys who buy cheap equipment and call them selves "me and my son PWing" but do not do quality work. I think if all the pro's look pro, act pro and present pro, and do pro work, there is no shortage business. So far its been okay.

Do you guys all use clorox for residential mildew removal (which is what we mainly do around here) or do you use more expencive house wash? And, if I was to use more expensive detergent on residential homes, how would I be able to compete with everyone else who use the clorox?
The prob here is there is a gazilion guys with pressure washers cleaning houses for cheap. So if I have this expensive detergent i would have to charge more and that would not get me any work.

Is there a list of TGS Vendors somewhere on the site?

What's wrong with this guy ? ....

why not? what about large wall faces ie. grocery stores, apartments, etc. with stains and residue, mildew... Chems cut time and effort.

Have you used the SafeRestore from EaCo Chem? IT looks like it can do almost anything.

Where do you guys get your chemicals? Do I need any lisences to use particular chemicals? I have been using Clorox and Suds for a year now but I would like to branch out and get to know this business a lot better.
Also, What sites can you recomend and any other sources you have gathered over your PW careers to help you advanse?
Thanks for you input.

We always give free estimates and try if possible to arange a time when they can be present. I like to talk with them discuss what they want done in person. For residential clients i'm starting to give starbucks gift cards with the estimate. Havent yet but Ill see how it goes. Anyone tried anything like that? Let me know if its worth it.
