  2. concrete cleaning

Jeff,(or anyone who wants to chime in) If you are already using SH12% and simple cherry on a house couldn't you use that on the concrete as well. I did this on my own porch and it looked brand new. What is the significance of sodium hydroxide?
  3. I live in Nashville, Tennessee and am in the process of starting a pressure washing business. I will be doing residential to start out. I have already got some equipment and done a couple relatives houses. If someone lives less than an hour or two away I'de be willing to trade free labor for some hands on knowledge. Let me know, even if it is 20 or 30 degrees around here!
  4. I'm starting out in residential pressure washing and I'm using SH12% and Simple Cherry. I was wondering what people tell there customers when they ask if the cleaner is "environmentally safe." I want to be honest with my customers but I don't want to scare them away. I really don't know how harmful it can be. I would like to be able to tell them everything up front so they feel like they can trust me, bla.. bla.. bla. Sure would appreciate any thoughts on the subject. Thanks.
  5. sodium hypochlorite

Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions. Hadn't thought about pointing out the dead plants etc. All the little things add up and make a big difference!
  6. Oxy Clean?

Has anyone ever used Oxi Clean as a roof cleaner or for anything else? They said it was the same as most name brands. Stable hydrogen peroxide and a carrier such as soda ash were the ingredients (supposedly) They just let it sit for 30 to 50 minutes and wash off. It's supposed to kill fungus and mildew without the bleach. Any experience??
  7. Another "newbie" question. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get some chemical containers, 6 gal to250 gal? For some reason the google button hasn't helped much with this. May be the words I'm using. Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.
  8. Sodium Hypochlorite Prices

Nashville, Tn. $1.53 for a 53 gallon drum or $1.73 in 15 gallon.
  9. Oxy Clean?

  11. concrete cleaning

Don't have a surface cleaner yet but I've been looking around. Thought I might go with a 20" without casters so it could be use easily on all surfaces rough or smooth. Don't plan on doing any parking lots or anything like that just driveway and side walks of houses. Does anybody recommend or not recommend any brands?
  12. I'm in the process of opening a pressure washing business right now. I have already done a few family members houses with the cheapo chemicals from home depot. Now I'm determined to find the best cleaners for all surfaces. I want to be able to do the best job possible and of course the most economical. I'de like to be able to say my work is environmently safe but sounds like chlorine and bleach are some of the best. Does anyone have any suggestions they could pass on?
  13. Best Chemicals for Residential Work

Thanks for all the suggestions. Think I'll probably go with the simple cherry and chlorine combination. Heard a lot of good things about it. Now if it will just get above 20 degrees I can get to it!
