  1. staining deck with an airless

Make sure you have the correct filter in the gun...they also help the misting. The filters come in red, yellow, green, and white and each has a different size screen. I always used the white filters for most applications. Andy
  2. staining deck with an airless

Changing the gun filter to a different mesh can help with the fogging too. Most people dont realize that the filter selection is just as important as the tip selection. Andy
  3. when you say cheap I think caustic soda beads, dawn and water Andy
  4. PW leaking gas

The shut off valve is leaking....best is to replace it or bypass it to another generic type valve Andy
  5. Slide in unit

Once saw a sparkle wash truck like that. The whole unit including the tank was on an aluminum platform that had casters under it. When you pulled it out a set of legs would drop so that the platform became literally a workbench if you had to work on the unit. I thought it was pretty slick and totally solved the problem of working on a unit while its in a van. However that was the only truck I saw like that....all the sparkle wash vans i've seen since are just van mounted. Andy
  6. concrete help?

I would think the soap would react with the acid since most soaps are alkilyn. Andy
  7. hose crimpers

Why not just use the reuseable fittings ....never had a problem with them ...cut off the end of the hose with a saw and put them on with a vice and wrench. Andy
  8. Scary Problem

Had a similar problem once. Have an exterminator get rid of the nest and find where they are coming in from. Usually a hole on the house exterior. Andy
  9. Thermostat HELP

The best setup I have found is a flow switch and the type of temp switch that clamps on the 1/2 inch pipe coming out of the burner. The ones with the bulb that sets in the pressure line seemed to only last a short time and then the bulb would crush. I have been told the clamp on ones arent as accurate but they have always worked for me. The one on my machine is 5 yrs old and still fine. Andy
  10. I'm Angry! Am I wrong?

Similar situation here john....when I had my heart surgery I called the Gold Clipper and JB Dollar magazines and told them I was in the hospital and that I expected to pay for the add that went out that day but to cancel the remaining 5 adds. Gold Clipper said no problem and they didnt want any money for the add (350.00) until I was totally back to work...even if it took a year or two...JB Dollar ran the add 2 more times and said they had no record of my call and plan on taking me to court. My response....f..k em......I'm not paying for anything now.....but point is I found out real quickly which magazine had class and which one is owned by an ass. Andy
  11. Goof Off

I've always used Krud kutter to remove any overspray. Never had a problem . Goof off never worked well for me. I even buy the Krud Kutter in 1 gallon containers so I can add a little to the water to clean up the airless. Even those stains that clean up with thinner will come off vinyl if you remove them the same day with Krud Kutter Andy
  12. Quick Connects

Terry, I actually have better luck with the cheap ones. Try pushing them together as you pull on the female part. Sometimes if you spin them first they are easier to get apart. Once apart pour some oil in the female to lube the little balls. I always just use a little 10w30 that I keep in the truck for the pressure washer engine. Andy
  13. removing CWF

It's always emulsified for me. Andy
  14. Box trucks

I have a Dodge one ton with a 12 foot box...gets about 13 mpg and i never use the overdrive. Its a gas engine 360 Andy
  15. Repair charges

Here's a little trick for staining new wood......after you replace the wood spray stripper (with a pump up sprayer) on the wood and rinse. It makes the wood match better when you stain it. Andy
