I am posting this to let you know I just had an Alkota trailer rig stolen. The model number is BU-14-2 and is a very nice rig. I have serial number if you see one and suspect it may be stolen. The police is involved and hopefully I will get lucky and the thief is apprehended. Thanks and hopefuly this will not happen to you.

When using an osborne brush to defur, when are you sanding? Are you sanding when it is still wet, or after it drys? If sanding is done after the wood drys, then I have a concern about the dust clogging the wood pores and therefore not accepting the sealant and/or stain. I mainly see defurring on spindles, and am seeking any advice. Thanks.

A question about process...when are you planning to tackle the fuzzies? Obviously after you have cleaned/stripped, but before or after you stain? My thinking is if you do it before you seal/stain, then a reclean is required (wood dust)? Doing so after sealing/staining may cause a finish issue?

Just curious as to how much time you are allocating to sanding that monster deck and how you chared the HO. Major undertaki for you and HO finances!!

Anothe point to consider with solids, they do not allow the boards to breath and create an environment for rot, mold, etc. and will fail. I do not believe solids should ever go on deck boards. Is this a shared view?

Believe it is better to have policy to only apply sealant or stain to dry wood only. Taking the short-cut will cost in the long run.

I never tell any of my customers that the color I apply will last. I tell them mine nor anyone elses will last forever. Customers know when they choose a color, maintenance at some point will be required. What I tell them is that they will never seal their wood again, which provides lifetime protection against water damage. Protecting their investment is foremost, looks come second. I know you have doubts and that is fine. You have been educated about this approach and I have no intentions of trying to teach or sell anyone about the technlogy via this forum. I merely want to participate in the learning!

No, I don't consider myself a snake oil salesman. I do believe in the product I am selling however and based on customer reaction there is a strong attraction to a sealant that is environmentally friendly, that never breaks down and provides visible and long lasting water protection. I have read previous posts voicing skepticism, but note I have not once offered rebuttle or argument. I thought there were rules about not attacking members who seek and share answers?

Looking for ideas on best way to remove products whose base is silicone. Stripping and sanding doesn't remove the material from the pores completely. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and I want everyone to know I think this is a great forum for those in this profession! All ideas shared save us money! Thanks again.
