Hello Dan, Thank you for your comments concerning oil based stains. I know where you are coming from. Matt and Jack are putting on a great seminar in Albany and ACR is doing the same with both presenting avenues for growing your business. Peirce Fitchet of Ready Seal and myself of Armstrong Stain will be at both and we would happily entertain any and all suggestions on how we might improve our stain line. Chris, Norhtern California is wide open for deck restorations. It seems that most of the real pros are clustered on the east coast and the west is ripe for the picking. We have great weather, a large population, bargain housing now and great potential. You might have to hold your nose with our politicians and deficit, not that NY is doing well. Hey All, Cook the turkey upside down! I learned this by mistake. I had never carved a turkey and since the other maucho lads were knee deep in beer, I thought it was the least , I could do for the 20+ at the holiday gathering. Our hostest, who had never cooked a turkey before had cooked it upside down. When removed from the oven and presented to me, the carver, the knife slid off where the meat was meant to be. This required a Sierra Nevada Ale and some thought. Finally, a 7 year old with pigtails walked by and informed us all that the G*d D**n bird was cooked upside down. Sas not tolerated, she was severally repremanded and threatened with something, we flipped the turkey and I proceeded to carve. The snot nosed kid was right. The white meat was far and away the juiciest I have ever had. Mind you, I am a dark meat lover, but cooking the bird upside down allows for the white meat to be baisted non stop and not be dry. This was learned by a guy and is meant for guys to help in the kitchen come Thanksgiving Day. With any good luck you will be sent to the living room and watch football and drink beer. Hello Jeff, What you did is not necessarily wrong but should be modified with our stain line. All stains behave differently. I would be pleased to talk to you about cleaning and appllication methods. As a matter of fact, I had a very informative conversation with Ken Fenner this afternoon. We covered quite a few different topics. This is how we learn at A/C so we can supply the stains that you want in the field. Manufactures and applicaters should be a team. Jeff, It appears that your house wash mix might be way to strong. Next time try soap and water, or better yet, have the home owner wash their deck. The mold is most probably growing above the stain. People wash their cars and kitchen floors, why not their decks. Our stains are designed to be easily removed by chemicals and pressure washing. Most guys like this aspect. Beth, A/C has on our cans life expectancy for vertical and horizonical. Jake

Beth, Jim, Rick and all. Mark Smith has posted findings for established test protocal. Protocal that has been in placed for decades. Dimond Jim's test protocal has not been published and therefore is not the industry standard. Just one of a series of tests was Mark's, however we at A/C have run real life tests through extremely able wood restoration professionals on both soft woods and hard woods. The results have been posted on soft woods. The free material sent to some of you for trial and it's review on performance, is still waiting for review. I look forward to your findings. Hello All, Our new mahogany color was shipped to a number of places and for sure the high desert of Arizonia was one of our better test spots. They have severe UV and monsoonal rain storms. In winter AZ has serious snow in the high country. Those others that are running test in Maryland, Ga., Fa. and Tx, please let me know your findings. From what I can tell, the Az tests and our tests at the plant have nailed the previous Cabot ATO formula and have given the coating unheard of life on hard woods, especially IPE.
