  1. Same Old Story

    Small world.
  2. Same Old Story

Oneness, The reason I asked was because my brother just finished school there and he has a friend named Shane that has a pressure cleaning business in Gainsville. Shane has a partner and I thought there might be a connection, but I realized, after my last post, that your ages would be about 5 years off. If your wondering what the name of the business is I am not sure, but I could find out just for curiosity's sake. My brothers friend shane, is married with a 10 year old daughter; attends U.F. full time majoring in Electrical Enginering; works for the Navy part time, in some capacity, and runs his pressure cleaning business full time. Talk about a driven individual.

  7. X-Jet why?

Good question, What are the differences between the M5 and the regular X-Jet? Also, I can definitely see the advantages of the 2 to 1 ratio of water and chem. I think I'm finally starting to see the light. I like to have a good idea of the uses for a product before haphazardly buying without thinking.
  8. Envirospec?

I use the Emulsifier Plus as well and I find it to be a good accompaniment with chlorine, which is a necessity here in Florida. I have also recently tried "Ripper" their gutter cleaning compound which works good but I would like to find somthing that works with just a spray on and rinse off method without any agitation.
  9. damage control

I was wondering if chlorine or other common exterior cleaning chemicals can damage awnings? The reason I ask, is because if you were to wash a buliding that has awnings would'nt some of the wash chemical you are using for the building get on the awnings as well. Any ideas on what chemicals are safe to use on buildings that have awnings? I visted a few of the sites that some of you all had suggested in other postes, but I could find nothing that addressed that issue.

  11. damage control

I would have thought that a fabric awning could possibly get bleached out when hypochlorite is used. That was one of my biggest concerns. I do very much appreciate your responces.
  12. damage control

I thought about the idea of covering the awnings in plastic, but some awnings are very large and that would seem to be quite an undertaking. There has to be an easier way. Besides even if you spent hours wrapping the awnings in plastic it would still seem likely that they would leak in some spots. The reason I asked these questions is because I am going to expand more into the commercial arena of the pressure biz and it seems the majority of the commerical buldings here in the Jacksonville, FL area have awnings of some kind or another. I have done only a handfull of commercial jobs so far and none of them have had awnings, but I know that its only a matter of time before one comes up.
