I've lost most of my teeth, and the ability to father children, but other than that, I haven't really noticed many issues with exposure.

Wet the roof down before cleaning the dormer windows, but explain to the customer that there is still a posibilty that it may clean the roof below the dormer, and all you can do is make an attempt to prevent it.

Maybe they are no fun, but the respirator is a must in some situations.Safety 1st.

Is your liability Ins for lawn care, pressure washing or roof cleaning? I'm asking because lawn care ins is different than pressure washing and roof cleaning ins.

I bought a new-to-me house last Sept and have put a lot of time and sweat equity into fixing it up to our liking. The house was a very sound, good shell of a house, but seriously lacked in curb appeal. It is a Norwegian brick wall house all the way around with concrete header and wood eaves and fascia. 4B 2 1/2 bath, 2,100 sqft heated and cooled.
The before pics are form the day we closed on the house. Since then, I cleaned it from top to bottom, painted the eaves and fascia, put new shutters on the front added outdoor lighting, and done a number of other detail work to the exterior.
The yard was crap. I've since regraded the back yard, re-sodded the front and back, and re-landscaped added landscaping to the front and back.
the house was one of the ugliest on the street, and is now one of the most attractive. Needless to say, the people in the neighborhood love their new neighbor.

We've decided to compromise and leave the ants alone. Rather, the guys are going to remove fleas from the dog and burn them up instead :)You could just burn the fleas off the dog and save the time of picking them off first.:lglolly:

Neat and scientific?? Tells me something about you is what I think.Jeff
You don't think magnifying the suns light rays to produce enough intensity to burn the exoskeleton of an ant is scientific and neat? :lglolly:

You sound like a lawyer for one of those sick ******* you see on the news.If you're an adult and still find it invigorating to be cruel to other living things just for the sake of it, or for entertainment or whatever,... then you've got some serious issues. Especially if you're teaching young kids that it's ok for entertainment purposes.Jeff
Go lay in an ant bed and I think you will discover very quickly that the ants loyalty is to themselves and they can give rats butt about you, or any other human for that matter.
Look, I don't condone cruelty, but I think it's ridiculous that you turn a light hearted thread about ant burning into a cruelty to animals tirade.
You say it's not right turn burn ants because it is useless cruelty. I say from a humans prospective, that sacrificing a few ants to teach your young boy something kind of neat and even scientific is a small price. I don't think showing a boy how to burn ants with a magnifying glass is going to make him any more likely to burn cats, or hang dogs either. Let's keep things in perspective, what do you say chappy.

As discussed earlier in this post, if you would have read it all you'd know ,... when the kids do it then yea, kids will be kids,..but for ADULTS to SHOW kids that some lives are expendable,... well then that is a different story.Jeff
Yeah, I did read the whole post, and my point is still valid.
WE DO WHAT IS IN OUR NATURE TO DO, AND SOMETIMES THAT INVOLVES CRUELITY FOR PURPOSES, OF ENTERTAINMENT, SCIENCE, CURIOSTY, LEARNING, AND TEACHING.
LOOK AT IT AS HUMAN INSTICT, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT IS.

Burning ants with a magnifying glass can be viewed in many different ways. A child learning that ants can be burned under the suns magnification could be considered a science lesson, a learning tool that may help his/her increase their understanding of the world in which they live in.
Just because the act may seem cruel to you believe it or not experimentation, and trying different things as a child is very important in their development process, and helps contribute to their ultimate abilty to adapt, thrive, and survive in this world.
The very essence of nature is cruel. My cat catches lizards on my screen porch from time to time when I'm not around to save them. He plays with them until they are dead. He has no interest in eating them, but his curiosity and INSTICT pushes him to act this way. Is this cruelty? I don't think so it's just nature.

My brother and I used to love torching army men. Usually with a can of WD-40 and a lighter.
I believe every young boy must go through a pyro faze before reaching adulthood.

grey t-shirts work real well no bleach spotsYes. That is the only T-shirts I will wear when working. Athletic Heather Lofteez by Fruit of a Loom. They don't show bleach stains, they are comfortable, and they hold up for good long while.

What would have been very helpful is some upclose pictures of the surface.

If I am only looking to clean up dirt/grime from residential concrete, can anyone suggest a good soap mixture (other than chemicals; Coy pond close by)that would do the job or would a basic surface cleaner with high pressure water only do the trick?Soaps are chemicals.
Pressure wash concrete, rinse concrete, then treat concrete with a strong chlorine solution (while concrete is still wet) and watch the leftover tannin, mold, algae, and mildew melt away before your eyes. No need to rinse of the chemical, let in dry and neutralize on the concrete.

Similar to the surfers that get attached by sharks. As a surfer, you know the inherent risks of engaging in an activity that takes place in an area where there happens to be very large, very hungry, predators that view you as a potential meal. Enter at your own risk.

I just realized that on that last post I hit the 1,500 mark. This must be a sign, but what could it mean?
