Had a few hairy gutter situations this week due to landscape, height and distance issues. I think it's time for a change, I need something curved that'll get the front and bottom of the gutter in one swipe, (but not the fascia or soffit). Any recomendations?

I'm doing my best to leave Bob alone, I'm trying to just order online. I am by far my own worst enemy.
My questions end up being, I need the thig-a-ma-jig, that hooks up to the what's-it, and goes to the watcha-ma-call-it, you know the female one, with the threaded barb. Oh yeah and send that UP-EX, to my old Englishtown address, but bill it to my new Bay Head address, no on second thought send it to my friends shop, at that other Englishtown address, and bill it here.
Thankfully Bob has the patience of a saint!

$2.24 here, they pump it right off the tanker into my tank.

Ken, They do everything, schedule, collection etc? We just pull up and do the work? If that's the case 20%-25%, with some parameters on job pricing, I mean like no $99 jobs.
I do something different with a buddy of mine who's a roofer (20 yrs in biz, $4mm a yr in sales). He adds to his ads, roof cleaning, and even did one roof cleaning only ad, in his co name. His office gets the call, I do the estimate, tell him how much I'd charge (my normal rates) he sells it for whatever he can over that and that's his end. Works great for us, he got his full page ad $ back in a week and a 1/2.

I agree with Scott, get it out of beta and roll it out Ken!

I just started taking them, I use the service through Quickbooks. They have a decent rate, first 2 months free, free set up and most important no early termination fee and no equipment lease.
I only take them because I think the visa/mastercard logos on my biz cards and in my ads lend me creditability. I have yet to have anyone want to use a card.
PS if you do it don't take Discover or Amex.

Yeah, good luck, in my neck of the woods you can't even find anyone legal who lives within 20 miles. The college age kids around here are all driving BMWs and Escalades, and you can bet they didn't pay for them!
I wish I could go through 20 legal guys to find the right one, I can't find any! I'd love to have your problem.

I'm with Richard, sounds like you'll just be rinsing, surface cleaner and rinse has a step too many. I did one of these a few years ago in Denver, was for a small strip mall, GPM did the job.

Ken, those are great as a start. Adrian I hope this becomes a really long thread, great topic, and Alan, it's just a little different on the West coast, LOL.
Proprietary cleaning solution you won't find in any big box store.
I understand you want to get those other estimates be sure to ask them;
What method do they use
How will you protect my .........
Do you have workmans comp (required in NJ) and general liability Ins
Are you a licensed home improvement contractor (req in NJ)
Please don't let someone with a pressure washer on your roof
These I just used today, I 'd love to see some more.

Thanks everyone! If I get this one I'll probably go the percarb route, as I don't have any of the other stuff, and this thing is so small it's really not worth ordering something for.
Thanks for the input!!

Scott,
No need to apologize! The edit had nothing to do with your post. No harm no foul, sorry for any confusion.
Thanks,

Anybody know if Steve is still around and how to get in touch with him?

Here in NJ they do it all the time. State Treasury dept guys ride alond with the local cops and they pull over the ladscapers. Tres. guys start to ask how they get paid, is it by check, cash etc.
They don't care about the immigration status, they want to know if the guys are being paid off the books, then they pull the cos books and 'recalculate' their income for them.
I know guys who've been hit with over $400k in 'recalculated' back taxes!

I don't know Chris I don't think I'm even gonna bother.
Doug I'll be giving your guy a call! Thanks!

Yeah Chris I guess I'll try to go up 'the ladder' and see if that helps. I got the fax and it doesn't include shipping as I had asked, and she gave me the prices in kg, what a nightmare.

I was wondering if anyone used these guys, I've seen prepackaged documents before and they never quite cut it.

I'm desperate to get a good contract together for residential work, not just a simple boiler plate but with relevent clauses to houswashes etc. I have no problem paying the money I just don't want to waste it.
Thanks for any opinions or tips or even if you have a sample contract for housewashing or roof cleaning you might want to share.
Thanks,
JD

Oh yeah and the one price she did give me, TSP 50lb bag at $1.96 per lb. Can't wait for her to fax me the rest!
-
Hey I know many of you use Univar, I just had the most unpleasant experience with them. I called to ask for pricing on SHC 12.5 in 55s, Borax in 50lb, and TSP in 50lb.
The woman is going on and on about how many pages of info she has to go through to find it, and can I fax to her what I want (which is 12.5 shc in 55 gal drum, Borax in 50lb bag, and TSP in 50lb bag). I need to fax that to her? That's crazy!
Then she's telling me the last 55 of 12.5 they (all of Univar) sold was in January in Grand Rapids. A. I don't care and B. I don't believe her.
What have your experiences been? Mine so far is telling me to steer clear!

Celeste, I'd love to see em. I'm rebranding this year, house and roof cleaning on top of the commercial stuff. Got out of the overlays, but I'll sell em if I see an opportunity.

I'm really looking forward to it, wish I could get there for Sat night but the schedule doesn't permit. I bet it'll be a little strange for me, I feel like I already know you all from our great little bb community, really pleased I'll finally get to meet so many of you in person!
I'll be bringing my girlfriend Louise (she'll be there more for moral support but maybe we can turn her yet!), see you all on Sunday!

Here's the one I'm gonna try, doesn't seem like too much of a 'c' shape so I don't think it will slop the fascia or soffit too much.
