  1. Need a little help please -

Dan, I like your trailer set up, clean and simple.
  2. Dewalt on steroids!!!

I thought he was speaking in so sort of code that I did not understand.
  3. Cool, how would you get your hands on one of those things? At least a legal way?
  4. How much water do you go through on a average deck? I can not figure out if I would need a H20 tank or not. Trying to keep the trailer simple and light.
  5. So, if you are only restoring exterior wood (decks & fences) you do not need a buffer tank for water?
  6. I hope you guys don't think every new guy that asks questions are hacks trying to undercut your prices. I for one would never charge a dime or even do someone's deck at all until I was 100% trained to do so. (maybe a long time before I am ready) Also, I only ask questions if I cannot find the answers with the search button. Thanks to all of you that are willing to help a new guy.
  7. Wish I could come to NJ next week, but I am all out of vacation time from my job. And I will be getting in contact with ACR soon. Thanks again.
  8. wood restoration rig

Do most of you deck guys carry water tanks on your trucks or trailers? or does the customers supply all the water? Does it depend on the customers home water pressure? Do you charge differently if you use the customers H20?
  9. Thanks Rick, hopefully sometime next season we can work out a little labor for learning. would like to pick your brain one on one.
  10. Yeah Ken, I did mean "paint" I've seen decks that someone slapped paint all over them and I was wondering how you would ever restore them. I guess there is no shame in a new restorer to walk away from a deck he does not feel comfortable doing.
  11. Thanks, I'm starting to understand now. Dave
  12. I know I sound stupid, but please explain what you mean.
  13. Hi Guys, Is there a surefire way to tell what kind of paint is on a deck? And as far as removing it, does it really matter?
  14. Really Old

How old is it ? How often do you use it ?
  15. wood restoration rig

    Thanks Rick, I'll do that.
  16. wood restoration rig

Maybe I should be asking the ready seal people this question but will they sell ready seal to non contractors ? I would like to do my own deck to practice on.
  17. wood restoration rig

    Thanks for everyones input.
  18. wood restoration rig

I am planning to set up a open trailer for exterior wood restoration.(decks) Would it not be best to remove the p/w from the trailer to get to the back of the houses? Also, would you lose too much pressure with a long hose if your washer was mounted on a trailer parked on the street or driveway? Keep in mind that I am a total rookie!!!
  19. wood restoration rig

Why do you pros mount your pressure washers to your trailers?
  20. Gorilla, Little Giant, Costco or Werner ladders what really is the difference ? Is one really any better than the others ? Dave B
  21. Gorilla vs Little Giant ladders

Thanks everyone for your inputs. It's nice to know that a rookie like me can just ask a question on this forum and pros from all over the country try there best to answer it. Thanks again, Dave
  22. Gorilla vs Little Giant ladders

Thanks for the video, Korey you are right, I do have enough reach already, but I have a thing for ladders. LOL Dave B
  23. Gorilla vs Little Giant ladders

I do have a 24' ex. ladder, a 6' A frame and a 4' A frame, all fiberglass, all Werner. Do you guys think those would be enough to do deck restoration ? Dave B
  24. Training Help

I have been studying these forums for a few months now, but i believe I need some formal training. What do you guys think of the PWNA wood restoration course? Or the Delco wood & deck staining dvd? ( I already am wolman cert.) Thanks, David
  25. Training Help
