  1. I have not had fitting blow off but I have had a hose that after 6 weeks blew holes in the length at different places. It had a smooth jacket and 1 wire. It was a deal but now it is out of service.

If you had fitting blow off, the hose was incorrectly rated. ie; 3000psi hose rated at 4000psi.

    Rod!~

I was using my 1250psi and it blew near the fitting there.First for me.But for just in case i got a screw on fitting for back up as well just in case my back up fails. When you work at night you need all the back up you can get.Anyways you cut hte hose below the bad push the fitting on and tighten the haeck out of it need thing just to have around. If i can remember i will take a pic of it so you see what i mean.

  5. Hello Lance and others who are offering advice and info… thank you.

    • Siding mix contained sodium hydroxide. The mix was bought locally. I have never seen the name on any forum or for sale on any website. It’s a mix that a local chemical supplier gets from a big out of state chemical company to sell to pressure washers. I prefer not to mention names.
    • No bleach was added to the chemicals.
    • ratio: 3 gal water to 1 gal chemicals then apply using the red color x-jet proportioner (16 to 1) with 4gpm washer. (per instructions)

It sounds like there may be hope. Maybe I need to get chemicals from a distributor that actually is more involved in pressure washing. Can one person really do a good job on a house + gutters in about two hours?

    DK34…

That was a good one. If you had shouted it out your car window four days ago when I was going into my 8th hour I could not have laughed.

You probably have a week mix or the chem. you are buying from your supplier is no good. The main thing is a gallon of bleach, a gallon of cleaner and 1/2 to 1 gallon water and your mix will be good.Thank you Marko

  6. Business wise i have not been affected i have accually become a whole lot more busy.Finacially now is a different story. The fuel has caused my spending to increase and my profits to decrease.I spend plenty on fuel and the mark ups make no sence eather. They raised the prices of the products and on top of that added a fuel surcharge as well as if the mark up wasn't enough. All in all business is doing great just wish the cost would go down so i can do a little less business and have more fun.Thank You Marko

  8. The way i see it the word Married means the union of male and female. The holy bible states that. Also the bible states man and man/woman/woman is not right. Now dont get me wrong my wifes cousin is gay and his man is good people, but the marriage thing and in all the right thing even in the wild is female and male. That is how we are designed so we can pro create. Now if the people would word the union of a couple so they get the right that a couple gets then the issue is solved. This issue is always going to be an up and down issue. All a matter of oppinions. Now my cousin in law and his man are good people that live together and share there bills as one.So the way i see it they deserve the goverment benifits. Why not? But to share these benifits it has to be called a union or something like that. You know this country is supposed to be equal for All.Not all but the gay population. Everyone should have equal rights in the country. Thank you Marko

  9. I bought a set of used cox hose reels last week and I've got two issues.

The first is that the reel is rated for 3k and my machine puts out close to 4k.

Secondly, they're both setup for 3/8 hose and I'd like to use one for my 3/4 supply hose.

Anyone ever try to swap out the fluid path fittings and swivel on these to match your hose/psi demands?

(I've never seen the internals of a hose reel and don't know if this is possible)

Does ths hose reel have a brass swivel with a snap ring?

  10. My first rig is mounted inside a 6x10.It is a portable but is mounted. The unit is 5 foot long pumps 1250psi at 3.5 gpm has an AR pump 2 hp Baldor motor all belt driven with a 2 gallon float tank. This rig cleans from cold to hot to pure steam.I use it for exhaust hood cleaning. Now my other rig is a 3000psi at 6gpm portable. This rig has an 794cc Briggs a boat fuel tank and is belt driven. This rig is about 25years old and still runs like a top good brick/surface machine.I use a 4x8 trailer with a 275 gallon tank for this rig.All pulled by a Chevy with a 496 big block 2500hd crew cab short bed 45 gallon fuel tank Allison transmission.Need this truck since i live in the mtns. Can pull where i want to go.

  11. I'm sure you're right on that. We were doing a rather large job in a different state when the engine let go on one of the washers. I had to replace it quick so I bought one of those 1000 dollars units at Home Deopt down the road. The AR pump broke twice in one month. I still keep it around as a spare but a put a Cat on it.

Well that all depends where you get your unit an Home Depot unit is a home owner umit and they wont last now my Hood unit is a 1250psi at 3.5 gal with an AR pump and it is 10 years old and run like a top.Did nothing to pump yet except cahnge oil.I have a 3000psi at 6gal and this unit isabotu 24 years old and never did anything to the pump it is a General runs good but gonna need packings.Anyways both units is belt drive and everything is over sized then the specs. So all in all it depends what type of unit you buy you can get an home owner Cat pump or and com./ind. pump thats made to run.thank you

  12. That's too much. It's worth about 450 butIdoubt he would take that. As for the pump, I have been running two Generals and one Cat for many years. I did have several ARs but each one gave up too quickly,

It depends on the AR pump you got.I have a Jenny and it has an AR pump belt drive. This rig is 10 years old and still runs like a top.She runs every night and sometimes night and day. This unit pumps 1250psi at 3.5 gallons and burns very hot. This is my exhaust hood cleaning machine now my surface machine is a MiTim 796cc brigs with an general 3000 at 6 gallons and it is 24 years old.Still run very well. The point is, is that its the grade of pump not the brand. They have high grade pumps made to run all the time and they got homeowner units made to run a few times a year. thank you
