  1. Survivor: Pressure Washing Industry

QFT. I like your thread, Scott. Back to island business.
  2. Survivor: Pressure Washing Industry

LOL.. Just a nice spare tire that would make everyone flee the island quickly. There is a method to my madness.
  3. Fish Pond

John these are trained koi. Do not mock them. :rotfl:
  4. Fish Pond

You guys are all koi killers.
  5. Fish Pond

You can sneeze at koi and they flip over and float. What kind of fish, B?
  6. Survivor: Pressure Washing Industry

You are already of the island.. and we told you to leave the photo of Ron at the camp.
  7. competitive pricing

Jon, follow your train of thought and bring up the sticker shock beforehand. Or flat out ask them.. How do you feel about the price?
  8. Survivor: Pressure Washing Industry

Dan "The Professor" Tambasco drowned at sea when his hydrofoil constructed from distilled acrylic collapsed. Luckily, Dan had asked Terry to go along but Terry said "no, thank you". The rest of us nervously sit here watching Scott K whittle his tenth wooden club of the day.
  9. Survivor: Pressure Washing Industry

I cannot say any names but the first person removed was caught mock fellating a picture of a fellow survivor.
  10. New Kitchen.

With your attention to detail and craftsmanship this kitchen is going to look awesome.
  11. competitive pricing

Jon, homeowners, myself included, never know what things cost. Some sticker shocks I've encountered.. Kitchen remodel $70K+.. New roof, $18K.. Rewiring a house.. $22K.. Entire interior repainting $16K. Things cost what they cost. One goal I try to achieve when selling a service is to upshift that mental number that people may have formulated in their head. If anyone says something about it being so expensive, I ask them what number they had in mind followed by how they came to that assumption. No matter how bizarre or misinformed the answer, empathy is always first and foremost. When someone is blown away by a price (rare), I stop the sale to let them digest.

You're so right Mathew. I imagine a breathing machine or oxygen tank are more uncomfortable and hindering than a respirator mask.

Mike, my interjection was nothing against Ron personally. Ron may have just overlooked the fact that some people may get charged for texts or worse yet, get spammed on their cell phone. If you are like me, you hate being spam called. I think what Ron is doing is cool and people should take advantage of it if they feel the good outweighs the possible bad.
  14. Ken Fenner read my PM

Got it John and just read. After coffee and some quick paperwork from yesterday I'll shoot you a note.
  15. IPE' Deterioration

That's why I thought it was Garapa. It had a strong yellow tint. It was the Wood Tux!
  16. IPE' Deterioration

    Ahh I see now. Garapa?
  17. IPE' Deterioration

Lyle, yes it opened and I was able to actually blow it up larger. Thumbnail and larger image were the same. What are you seeing? I'm using Firefox.
  18. IPE' Deterioration

This where we come to get wood. :o :lurker:
  19. IPE' Deterioration

I will second ipe as the wood in the pic. After a bleach or acid clean.
  20. Amanda Knox - guilty?

hahahaha aren't you are a humurous little buckle bunny. You pickin me up for ACR? I like having a chaffeur.
  21. Amanda Knox - guilty?

Italians are the best looking though. Makes up for everything else.
  22. Lisa from Princess Powerwashing Hospitalized

Yeah I agree, John. She must be one sick lady. New set of prayers for her.
  23. IPE' Deterioration

It didn't look like ipe to me either but there are so many grades of so many hardwoods, its hard to tell anymore. Rick do you have an address or website for FPL?
  24. IPE' Deterioration

Lyle, with all due respect I don't know if I agree with your cause and affect assumption on this one. In my opinion 5/4"x6" flooring built that close to the ground with no ventilation is what is causing the issue and would have occurred no matter what species of wood, sealed or unsealed. Any type of even remotely film forming finish is never going to have a chance on that deck.

I don't play gossip or kid's games now, or in the past. If you are soliciting TGS members for their participation, the details should be made available. Some people may be hit with costs they didn't expect and/or be spammed by other companies that typically share info with those types of marketing companies. The people opting in should know that. Its nothing personal. It sounds like a good program. I would think you would not want people to feel deceived though. You know how easy rumors start in this industry no matter how good the intentions.
