New Job Leads--FREEEEEEE
PressurePros replied to Ron Musgraves's topic in Contractor Help Wanted - Job Leads
Ron, as a forum leader on TGS I have to post the same response as I did in your other thread. People should be made aware that they are "opting in" to a marketing service called Club Texting. You are supposed to make these guidelines known: Message and data rates may apply Frequency (ex: Max 2 messages per week) Opt out instructions (ex: To unsubscribe text STOP {KEYWORD} to 25827) Carriers supported: Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cellular One, Cellular South, Cincinnati Bell, Cricket, MetroPCS, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Virgin -

Tony, remember the glitch in that game? If you put your tank in the right place and got hit just right by a shot, the tank would sail across the screen in an endless loop.
-
I heard you were swept away in a grease fire. Where the heck have you been? Adrian, all of those games tap my competitive nerve and result in addiction and sleep deprivation. I make my son disconnect it and put it in the closet when he goes home.

Snowing here too. Bite me, Jon.

At this stage of my life I don't really want or need toys. I'm starting to work on my "bucket list" (things to do before you kick the bucket). Here is something on my list: Philadelphia - Fighter Pilot for a Day at Cloud9Living.com

Look, Fenner, this is how poor my customers are

Dan, try chasing them down in the van. I hear you can get good SEO from a listing on the Megan's Law website. I'm just playing. Give me a call when you get a minute. -
Mystery Machine... hahahahaha

Business Systems for Painting Contractors I believe it to be an A-Z on painting.

I asked for it...
PressurePros replied to Adrian's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Congrats on tying the knot Adrian. I know prices vary by region. PTP framing and 5/4" x6" floor skin is about $30 s/f. It goes up with 2x6's, cedar, redwood etc. -
Deck cleaning. What am I missing?

Ed, its the cleaners you are using. Try Deck Stains Cleaners Sealers | Staining Decks Wood Decking Sealing | Concrete Paver Restoration -

I think if Dan put on some Cragar's and jacked up the back he could market it.. "We have not changed our prices or our quality since the 70's!". To really get the most out of visibility, a set of Cherry Bomb mufflers on the headers would make the van memorable. Dan, you could write your estimates on the back of your "disturbing the peace" citations. I think I'm on to something. -

Scott, I am not convinced of vehicle lettering as a marketing tool either unless you are dominating a small area. Then people get that subliminal slam going on. Dan, that looks like a condo building we just did. When was that pic taken? Has to be weeks ago? Our trees are nearly bare and with this wind/rain storm tonight they should be completely winterized by tomorrow afternoon. -
Shawn, we're trying to help you. This forum has been here helping contractors for nearly a decade. Take the advice given to me as a newbie. Listen twice as often as you speak. Insulting other members is a violation of TGS rules. If you are touting professionalism as being your "approach" there is no reason to abandon that because you are behind a computer screen. We are also human. If you plan on being a long term business owner you have to toughen your skin a bit.

Shawn, when you are in business for awhile you will understand what Mike is saying. There really is no other answer than "price what you need to stay in business." What you may be missing is that I could charge 35% of what you charge and still make a profit greater than or equal to yours. I have systems, trained employees, high flow machines, fine tuned chemical formulas, better volume, multiple crews to do the work and less advertising expense than a new company. Would I be hurting you or helping you to give you my prices? Let me amend Mike's answer. Charge as much as you can. The future of your business depends upon it.

Happy Birthday to he of cedar and grapes.

Brian, I could tell you what I would do, but its speculative. My model is a different one. I justify my meeting with every single person with the additional margin made at the time I am out there estimating. My standing rule is similar to Williams, if it is not on the work order, it cannot be done. I agree you should be getting that extra money but I would be advising you to change the way you look at your model. A possible route would be your website but that will only apply to leads generated there. Call me and we'll brainstorm.

Lisa from Princess Powerwashing Hospitalized
PressurePros replied to Beth n Rod's question in The Club House
Rick, I didn't know she had skin damage. I just remember a lady at Tom's R/T that use HF acid on just about everything. -
random orbital
PressurePros replied to Chappy's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I would say an orbital is more aggressive than a 1/4 sheet palm sander and is better suited for exterior work. -

Dan lives in a real ghetto. • There are 11,305 households • 27.5% from 25 to 44, 26.8% from 45 to 64, and 12.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. • the median income for a household in the town was $102,762, and the median income for a family was $131,469. I'm fairly certain this is the road that leads the "badlands" of Andover
