My mini rig need advice on the setup.
Carolina Clean posted a topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Hey guys here's my mini rig i made using a Harbor Freight Trailor, 8 gpm 21 HP Briggs, 125 gallon buffer tank. Well I've been using the X-jet lately ever since I was having trouble with downstreaming. But now I want to try it again and I'm adding a chemical tank to the rig. It's a small 35 gallon tank. I do mostly residential soft wash jobs. Nothing really big. yet Well Im looking for some advice on on the plumbing. Was think about having a drain so if I need to carry straight SH in it for the though jobs and use the X-jet. But for the downstreaming it would be hooked up straight to the injector. Also I've heard not to mix SH and your soap and leave it because it will down grade the SH. Is there a way to inject just Simple Cherry/ Dawn/ etc water mix downstream from the SH/Water mix? Thanks before hand. -

Just finished the 3,500 sq ft. house and driveway. Took me 3 hours. About 15 gallons of solution. -

I did a 1,800 sq ft. house today and only used 5 gallons. So some around 6 to 7 small houses. A lot less then the X-jet setup I was using. Have a 3,500 sq. ft. stucco house tomorrow plus the driveway. Will update. -

Well I finally got to use the new setup today. Was waiting on the 2.1 injector to come in. Well I love it. It's so much easier to use. Getting a good amount of chemical on the house now. Mixing 3.5 gallons of 12.5% chlorine, 1.5 gallons water & (2) 8oz scoops of Simple Cherry for every 5 gallons. 35 gallons total. I think I need a little more surfactant in the mix. The chemical doesn't seem to have many bubbles in it. So I think I might add some Dawn to the mix. Thanks for the input. Especially the injector. ;) -
How I transfer 12% SH for drum to tank.
Carolina Clean posted a topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Hey guys just wanted to show you guys how I transfer my 12% SH from a 55 gal. drum to my 35 gal. chemical tank. Hope this can help someone. I know the pump isn't made to pump SH but I flush it with 5 gallons of water after. Only paid $25 ish when it was on sale and used the 20% off coupon. I got the warranty with it. It's a little of a pain to prime but once you get it going it pumps almost 11 gal. a minute. Beats hand pumping 35 gallons. 1" Clear Water Pump -

I spayed it on and painted it on with a brush. Spraying it is messy. Don't get the stuff on your skin. It won't come off for days. Maybe a week of scrubbing. It looks good for a few weeks. Nice and shinny. The it fades. Lots of grip. You can reapply anytime you want. -

Yeah I think Im done with adding stuff. Maybe a place to mount a surface cleaner. If I run into any issues with DOT and the weight. I'll just get a smaller tank. It's just a buffer tank. I think I can get away with something smaller. Oh and the straps like I said before. I never ride with the tank full and I think it will be ok. But will look into the metal ones. -

What do you guys think of the plumbing. Cost $7. Do you think I'll run into any issues? It's just mocked up will cut, glue, etc when it's strapped down. -

Hey Pat, Do you have picture of one of these? Don't know what they look like. Thanks. 3) Use a #40 or larger soap nozzle or use a hi /low variable like I do but drill it out to 7/32". -

Thanks for the heads up. I've beefed to trailer up pretty good. All the main joints are welded, added the center braces, etc. Going over it tomorrow. Touching up the Rinoliner and plumbing. At first I worried but now after all the reinforcement she is really solid. The only thing I would worry about on this trailer is the tire blowing out on it. -

Yeah I never ride with the tank full ever. It's always drained. So it's in the limit. -

Black streaks on fence how do I remove them?
Carolina Clean posted a question in Residential Pressure Washing
Sprayed the fence down with 12.5% bleach today using the downstream injector. Had to go over the thing three times with bad results. First buckets where 3 gallons of bleach 2 water, simple cherry, gutter grenade. Finally got tired of having to keep going over. So I put straight bleach in a plump sprayer. Sprayed the fence off then rinsed. With better results. Not 100% happy with it. What do you think it is? What do you suggest? Here's the pictures. Work pictures by carolinaclean - Photobucket -

Not sure on the temp of the water. It was well water that was filtered by multiple filters. Will try a brush next. Is there a certain brush you guys recommend? Going to Lowes to look for one today. Supposedly the paint was some really expensive stuff that combats mildew?
