cold weather gutters streaks
Ron Strickland replied to DustinC's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Most Chemicals don't work as well under 50 degrees. The optimal range is from 70 to 90 degrees. Normally for every 10 degree rise in temp. within this range, chems work twice as well. -

Dan was right on the money. Dip your finger in it. If it's warm(not hot) to the touch, it's active. If it's cold like water, it's dead. Usually Sodium's shelf life is 60 to 90 days. It needs to be kept out of the sun in a dark place. The UV's from the sun wiil kill it eventually. -

Use a Downstream injector with a 1.8 orifice. -
Hello George, In 2001, I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer after a PSA test came back with a 14.5 count. After much research on the Internet, soul searching and consultation with my Doctor, I made a decision to have the seed implants. On September 1st, I received an injection to shrink the Prostrate down to under a 4 and did 21 days of radiation to assure that it didn't spread. They did the proceedure in October, 2001 and since then my Psa has been O. (flat lined). I go to the Doc every 6 months and as far as we are concerned, I'm cured. The worst part of the entire process was the biopsy which obviosly you have had. Everything else was a piece of cake. I'm not trying to sway your decision, but talk to your Doctor. The success rate with with this 14 year old procedure is about 95%. They did the operation in the morning and I went home that afternoon. They put me under with some good s--t. I was back at work in 4 days. If you would like to talk, Email me at rstrick1@verizon.net and send me your phone number. Best of Luck, Ron

Overkill?
Ron Strickland replied to RyanH's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Ryan, Dumon Chemical makes a product called "PEEL AWAY". It is a poltice application and they claim it will take away several layers at a time. We sold it at Xterior Sales and Service and had good results. Glaxo Smith Kline used it to strip interior doors. Search Dumon on the internet or call Mike Baker at Xterior. The number is 919-779-7905. He might have inventory. -
Does anyone use anything other than Sodium Hypochlorite to clean houses? A lot of Exterminating companys claim that Sodium distroys their treatments.
-
Household Bleach is 5.25% to no more than 6.25% buffered down strength. Sodium Hypochlorite(Pool Bleach) is 12.5%. When Sodium is manufactured it is about 20% but when it finally settles down it remains at 12.5%. By law it cannot be any stronger. If you own an X-Jet (original or M-5), mix 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon Sodium Hypochlorite to 4.5 to 4 gallons of water respectively with some Dawn and use no proportioner. If you are cleaning siding to remove Mildew, Mold, Algae or surface dirt; I can promise you this proceedure will work. Now you don't have to worry about breakdown percentages.

BUY BOTH PIECES!! (If they check out) Is it a cold or hot water machine? If it's a hot water skid machine, make sure the burner cycles on and off and no smoke from the stack. Before I retired we sold that machine for $5,800.00 and the Cyclone retailed at about $ 550.00. I would say you've got yourself a DEAL. Is the washer a skid or a portable unit? Ron Strickland

AH!! but butyl is not the only ingredient in Gutter Zap. -
A sure fire way to clean a house is to mix 1/2 gallon of 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite (Pool Bleach) to 4.5 gallons water and detergent. Apply with an X-Jet with no proportioner. It is a tried and proven process that Xterior has been using for 30 years.

Good Morning Phillip, Wow!! Killer machine. I would use a #20 orifice. Call Mike at Xterior and he'll get one right out. The # is 800-983-7467.
