One of the owners of that company called me last year to wash his house, when I met with him ( Not knowing he was who he was) we walked around the house, I did my whole sales spill, then he says "have you ever heard about wet and forget" I said yes its Junk if you ask me, he then drops the bomb and tells me who he is, and I asked so are you actually wanting to clean your house? he said no, and I said &&*% *^& and left, what a ... wasting my time, insisting he needs a cleaning, only trying to sell me some crap to use for my business, arghh lol

I have been closing most house washes on the phone, then at the time of the job up sell them on other services, As far as deck restoration goes, I meet with everyone, so far my closing rate has been very high

New here...I don't want to state the obvious but...Pros - Pressure washing a deck (wood or composite) is very efficient and will remove more of the dirt, moss & grime than scrubbing by hand. Depending on how bad the deck is you may or may not need to apply any chemicals.
Cons - . The only other con I can think of is that if you have no experience doing this it is possible to apply too much pressure directly into the surface at close range which will destroy the wood even if it is not rotten.
Hope this helps some.

Really? Wow I learn something new everyday, Id suggest reading a bit, before answering any questions, you obviously know nothing about.

check out sunbrite supply, you can see the deckster there
-
Airless here, Deckster works fantastic as well, but I seem to get more control with my airless.
-
here it goes for 2.75-4.00 per foot, that includes just a cleaning and prepping then staining, if it needs to be stripped could go higher.

Nice resto. How old was it?The deck is 13 years old, We did do some repairs on the railings, sanded most of the floors, and changed one or 2 boards.

Hey everyone, Its been a really long time since ive been around here since everything that was going on with my family, Since then business has started to pick up, and Landon has been doing wonderfully, I wanted to share some pictures, of a deck restoration we just finished up. I have to say this was one of the most difficult and tricky decks we have done, there was a ton of detail work, and being that we were over water their were alot of eviromental procedures we had to follow. But in the end it came out great, and I just wanted to share.
We used Ready Seal Dark Red 030.
Hope Everyone is doing well

From the doctors that deliver, To the nurses that take care.
To the transport team that’s waiting when urgency rings the bell.
From specialists, to surgeons. And the neonatal team, it takes a special group of people to make things work the way they should be.
As a result a new life is born, healthy and stable a new future can now take its course.
Without the work of these very special people, Our future would diminish and life would have no means. Thank you to those who stood by my side, with out you I’d never experience life.

As you can see from the short poem I wrote, The surgery was a success and he is now on the green road to recovery, It still is going to take a while, but at least now I know In a few months time, I will be changing poop, and getting urinated on. I never thought I'd think that would be a good thing, but its life in your arms, when you almost lost it.
He is still intubated, Because his vitals could not handle such rapid breathing, but the really cool thing is, it is a regulated ventilator, it breathes good breath every 5 seconds, and he breathes the ones in between, essentially giving him time to strengthen and breath completely on his own.
It is still going to be some time, but now I know Im not going to lose him.
the doctors said that the more he knows we are there, and the more he feels our touch, recovery is always certainly much quicker. So from now till the day he is discharged I will be holding his little hand, and telling him all about the family business, and the great second family that help support him into this world.
Just wanted to update you all, its almost 4:00am here, and I am so emotional with joy. The donations have been amazing so far, and I know more is coming, You all are the most amazing group of people I have ever met
God Bless all of you
Kiss your Kids, Hug your Wife, and Cherish your life!!

Im so nervous right now, hopefully, the surgery did what was supposed to do. and he will breathe, without his sats falling.
My little man is so black and blue, but he has some serious fight.
We are about to go in, just wanted to say thank you again for the support, you all are god sent.

Here is the original thread to get some up to speed. :(
6.7oz 1 day old, Please pray for my little guy - Pressure Washing Institute
To my Pressure Washing Family,
This past week has been one of the hardest weeks we have ever experienced, With my wife still recovering from the C-section, and me running back, and forth to take care of the little one we already have, and visiting Landon, I am utterly, incomprehensively, exhausted.
Being strong for my wife, and family throughout this whole ordeal has been the most difficult task I have ever had to accomplish. I showed her all the sincere, and kind words that my second family here at *** has expressed, and she was very moved.
I unfortunately am shutting down work, for the next few months to be there for my family. Some of you know that during the holiday season, I hang Christmas lights, and have a very large customer base. This year however I am not going to be doing that.
I have subbed out some work, and made a little money, but I know with the long term effects baby Landon is going have, I am going to need to be home more.
I am incredibly embarrassed in asking this, But I have no other options as of this moment, My local church is taking some donations. and Unfortunately I am going to have to ask my family here at *** for some as well.
The baby was taken off life support yesterday morning, and we took plenty of pictures, and were able to hold him for the first time, Unfortunately his vitals took a turn for the worst last night, and he was re intubated.
He has been Diagnosed, with RDS ( Respitory Distress Syndrome) as well as heart condition called Pulmonary Hypertension Ventrical Disorder. Meaning his heart is not pumping enough blood to the lungs, to transfer the oxygen. He has had 2 blood transfusions thus far.
They will be performing a heart surgery tomorrow to open the vertical leading to his lungs.
The doctors have said that this surgery should help him breath on his own better, and that the recovery should be quicker. Unfortunately he will be in the NICU for at least another month or more it all depends on him.
I am mentally tired, depressed, and to weak to push my self to fulfill and jobs that I had scheduled for the month.
So I am unfortunately asking, for help.
Anything at all will help, I just Need a push. As a business owner, I was not prepared for this downfall, and the cushion we had is slowly deteriorating.
My address is:
Mr & Mrs John Al-jazrawi
159 Camellia St
Sugar Land, TX 77478
I will be eternally grateful to any donations made to me, and my family.
As Pat mentioned in the last thread, the baby was on a paralytic, and managed to squeeze my wife’s hand. That was an amazing gift from god
Here are some pictures, God bless all of you for all your support. And thank you for your continued prayers.
Again, this is very embarrassing, for me I feel like I have failed as a father and Husband

Awesome strip job John.. looks great. I'm not a Ready Seal guy so when I say that floor looks like it could take another 5-6 gallons, I may be offbase. It really could use another 7 gallons, but the customer wanteda really light color... I tried I know... lol
-
Looks great. How long did you let the SH dwell?we let it dwell about 15 min each time, but it still didnt hold a candle to that behr
-
Looks Great! Did you have any idea when pricing this job you would have this much time in the job?Actually yes, I priced accordingly so it worked out really well.

Well we just finished up this deck today, and man I have to tell you, Behr Stain is really a Bear to remove.
A little History about this deck, The home owner has this cedar deck built in June of this year, in October he decided to stain his new deck himself. After he was done he quickly realized how bad his staining work looked and tried to strip it himself, that didnt work, so called us to remove this 2 month old stain, and re stain it with a lighter color.
Day 1 we spent stripping, applied 4 very hot mixes of Sodium Hydroxodie, and used a bit of pressure to scrape this krud off. It came off like paint, pieces were all over the yard and clumps of the stuff were stuck to everything. After thoroughly rinsing we applied 2 heavy coats of OX to neutralize and brighten the wood.
Day 2 we spent about 4 hours sanding the deck, and sanding peices of behr that would not come off.
Day 3 more sanding, and then finally the stain.
The customer chose Ready Seal Light Brown, While I kept urging the customer to choose a darker color they really liked the Light Brown.
Overall I think the deck came out great compared to what we were fixing. The homeowner was happy, and thats all that matter. I need to re paint their back door, Stripper got on the bottom part of the door and ate some paint..
I want to Thank Adrian @ ABC who assisted me on this deck, He really does know his wood.
