  1. Been Using M5 X-jet, looking for more! Advice Please.

Your crazy. It takes only seconds to flush the line and get rinse water. Save the money and get yourself a remote to turn the chemicals on and off and you will really be happy.
  2. Nest International

Have to beg for your money as usual with maintenance companies but not too bad
  3. Smart trigger guns with controls.

Which system are you looking at.
  4. If your wired properly nothing. The burner fan and transformer will already be running the only thing that will happen is a small voltage will be needed to open and close the fuel solenoid. The load will already be on the generator so nothing should happen
  5. 8 GPM COLD vs. 5.6 GPM HOT!! ?

Your fine on both of those machines pictured concerning belt/ gear drive and unloaders.
  6. Cooking Oil from Deep Frying Turkeys

Depends on the type of oil used. Veg oil and hydroxide will yield you the best results
  7. Sounds like you have worked on a silver eagle 2 pump machine. Those units were not designed to be worked on at all.
  8. Removing a stuck pump.

There is a key way and Allen nut holding it together make sure you remove that then good luck
  9. Poll: What type of pressure washing rig do you use?

When it's dealing with kiddies it's how it should work
  10. Poll: What type of pressure washing rig do you use?

He still is innocent until proven guilty. The case stairs still hasn't changed so he is still in county awaiting the grand jury. I haven't herd anything about him in a while and thought he may be free somewhere lurking possibly.
  11. Poll: What type of pressure washing rig do you use?

Gotta love the 55 gallon buffer drum. Where you at these days John
  12. Debt Vs. Debt Free

If I had it to do all over again, I would have operated from the begining on cash. Cash is king!
  13. Bidding this job- what do you think?

lift prices have sure changed since then. 60fters now can be gotten at 1600 for a month if you beat them up on the rental price
  14. How much liability insurance do you carry?

interesting thread, I have to start carrying 2 agg, 1 per occurance, 5 million umbrella, and a 2 million pollution liability coverage, 1 million Com Auto, 1 mill WC coverage. This is about as high as i have seen asked for but will be worth it.
  15. 35k is attainable with 2 single man operated rigs per month. Scheduling is your best friend and making sure you have a schedule panned out right will aid in increasing your production rates. Always something to think about is distance between stops and ensuring your not going back to the same parts daily when you can get them all done in one trip. I say this because fuel has gotten very costly for us this year up to about 5k per month just to run the rigs and get them from site to site.
  16. Mixing Sodium Hydroxide

You will have to pay hazmat shipping costs on this order from Marco, save yourself some time and money and call around locally to find it. Look in the yellow pages at chemical suppliers/distributors and see who you can get it from. Brenntag, Harcros, Ideal, there are several that are possibly in your area
  17. Neighborhood "door to door" soliciting policies

call the city, there is usually an ordinance concerning this and usually allows solicitation of services but requires a permit for selling goods. The permit is rendered useless if there is a no soliciting sign in the entrance of the neighborhood
  18. Mixing Sodium Hydroxide

25 % in weight so if water is roughly 8lbs and there are 5 gallons of mix into the bucket you have 40lbs of water. 25% caustic mix would yield around 10lbs of beads into the mix roughly. I am unsure if that calculation is correct but its a good guess
  19. Kroger Stores

While were at this this region of Walmart signed a contract that places a maintenance company in charge of everything ourside the building. Washing, striping, parking lots, retention ponds, and so on. It will be in effect soon and one local contractor will have to eat that reclaim unit he purchased and doesn't use for those stores. They will go to a low bidder at cheap rates and no reclaim will be used on Walmart around here anymore
  20. Kroger Stores

you got that call too I see. Just to inform everyone, there are bids out for Walgreens in the southern region (unsure if its the entire company) but they are looking at going with a service company. I get calls now monthly from a new one and once they inform me of who they are I tell them I don't support their method of cheap prices and payment plans. I don't mind financing my customers for 30 days or 60 if needed on service however I am not going to finance the middle man.
  21. Help finding source for Sodium Hydrochlorite

    Brenntag, Harcros.... Pool Store
  22. Average age at start up

I started @ 24 and have had that problem but IF your on your game and know how to sell your service you will soon prevail. Its even worse dealing with commercial customers
  23. Beckett Burner queston

PSI gauge's can be found everywhere even parts stores if you need a quick fix. We get ours from grainger or Parker and they are fairly cheap. Easy to install and the pressure should read up to 250-300 psi and your covered incase of fault. most burners are set to 140-200psi range and if you need more fuel change out to a larger nozzle instead of upping the pressure over 200.
  24. Unloader leaking

easy repair just get another one and make sure the arrows point in the right direction when installing it. do a quick search on adjusting unloaders and you will find the answer easily but will need to have a pressure gauge unless you know a bit about what your doing.
