2016 Pressure Washing Seminar (ACR Round Table) 3/3-6
John T replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Industry News & Events
Depending how my wife feels there's a good chance we'll be there. Her radiation treatments start in February. So far she's doing great & she would love to see the old crew again at an ACR RT. -
See you at the PWNA 2015 Convention!
John T replied to NAPWO's topic in PWNA News, Events, and Information
Have fun!! -
Nice! I always enjoyed Powerwashing from a lift but they're never cheap to use & if we can find a way to clean with out one we'll explore those options first. We have used our extension wands in the past with a shooter tip on it when the height was only maybe 60' or so up there.
-
There's a big difference between drilling out a red tip and using a "shooter" tip. Its like going to a shooting range with a handgun and a rifle to do some long distance target practice. The barrel of the rifle makes a world of difference in target shooting for long distance as does the barrel of a shooter tip. $30 for a pinpoint accurate shooter tip that give you excellent distance as well is money in the bank every time in the powerwashing business. Its also great for safety reasons because it keeps you off ladders and saves your back because you'll use your extension wand much less often so it's a "win win" in my book!

Yes very true. I'm not a fan of the NY Yankees but their organization does it best out of any American professional sport team. Management always runs that team with the idea of winning the Word Series and they'll do whatever it takes to succeed such as bying players etc. Anything short of winning it all to them is considered a failure!! This is why they have 27 championships & a team like the Capitals in Hockey have NONE!!

High Speed Pulsation/Vibration in wand?
John T replied to 577-Jersey's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
No that's not normal. First off you don't want to starve your pump for water. If your running into issues where the spigot on the houses is not supplying enough water then you should have a buffer tank setup where your powerwasher is running off of that. Starving your pump for water causes it to cavitate which you might be feeling when you squeeze the trigger. If you don't correct this problem you'll eventually have to rebuild your pump. Also check your filter to make sure the screen is not clogged because that to can cause your pump to cavitate as well as any air in the water feed line so check that as well. If everything checks out fine & your still having problems then most likely you need a pump rebuild. -
Rangers crush the Caps again last night 5-2.Boy we sure have their number...lol
-
That goal was questionable at best that could've gone either way....but once again Wash found a way to lose. Until they win a cup their history will stay intact which is they,re just a terrible playoff team and no one cares how well a team does during the Regular season. Heck the Rangers one the President cup for best record but who cares. Lord Stanley or bust..& Wash is known for..,bust.

Picked up used PW from CL last week......
John T replied to 577-Jersey's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Sounds like you got a good deal. Pictures would give us a better idea though. -
The Capitals are an excellent "Regular season" team but come playoff time they put a new meaning to the word CHOKE! Its like they make their own noose's. Lol
-
That sucks. I saw this posted on FB. We need caining in this country for when these scums get caught.
-
No clue what this "awesome" stuff is. Send us the link.

Very impressive Guy! Boston was a terrible national league team yet he made the allstar team with Stan the Man Musial and others. Today he would make at least 10 Million coming off a season like that. Very cool.
-
Guy who was your grandad & what team did he play for? I am pretty much a fan for most sports which is why I loved "Wide World of Sports" hosted by Jim McKay when I was a kid. But for America's 4 main sports my favorite teams are: Hockey-NY Rangers Football-NY Jets Basketball-NY Knicks Baseball-NY Mets. (Hoping for another world series championship)!!!

If the customer was happy that's all that counts.

Just some opinions please....
John T replied to 577-Jersey's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I bought that book over the summer and even with 20yrs doing my Powerwashing business I still learned a lot from it. Highly recommend it for newbies and long time powerwashers like myself. -

Powerwashers and the Babe Ruth Presidential Medal of Freedom!!
John T posted a question in The Club House
Getting closer to getting Babe Ruth honored with that all elusive "Presidential Medal of Freedom". Just waiting on a few things including a new President. If this happens I will keep my word and let them know this came with the support of the Powerwashers....but...will no longer include any orgs because there's already enough politics involved. If anyone wants to show their plaques feel free to do so (38 Powerwashing contractors & Vendors received these). Pictured with me here in this picture is the driving force behind this which is Babe Ruth's Granddaughter Linda Ruth Tosetti(my customer) and the one and only Joe Walters. Patience is a virtue :) -
Check out the 2015 Guest Speakers for the CETA org Vegas event. Last Year Beth Boreggo was one of their guest speakers and I heard she knocked it out of the Park!!!

I finally met "The one and only" Guy Blackmon. Hard to believe we were at some of the same Powerwashing events in years past but just never met each other. Nice guy! I wish I could post a pic of him, Rob Huffman & I shooting the breeze at the PWRA dc event but my phone doesn't work for this. Great meeting new friends and old friends alike as well.

There's over $30,000 in giveaways there now.

Best Powerwashing (Large) event I've been to since I started going to these things. Looking forward to next yrs PWRA event to be even better if that's even possible.

Hey Beth I think this event was bigger then the biggest one on record which was the 2005 Dallas PWNA/IWCA joint convention for Powerwashers and Window cleaners. What do you think?
