Give back Cleanings- The White House or 9-11 The Wprld Trade Center?
John T replied to John T's question in The Club House
Fair point Barry but in my case I've been to many places around the world. Go to Turkey, Egypt or Nicaragua for example.. Our Gov't isn't perfect by no means but compared to these other countries I've been to including Haiti, Cuba, El Salvador etc we are by far one of the best in the world. I am so grateful that my daughters are born here in this great country "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" !!!!! About time we take a positive stand for our homeland one way or another. -
Give back Cleanings- The White House or 9-11 The Wprld Trade Center?
John T replied to John T's question in The Club House
This is a project I'm considering on putting out feelers to see if it can be done. So we do an organized free cleaning of the White House or do we look to close out the 9-11 attacks here in NY to where the Powerwashing Industry was the final act in doing a new construction cleaning of the surfaces of the Freedom tower? The Freedom Tower : One World Trade Center, New York :: Glass Steel and Stone I'm personally leaning towards the Freedom tower but of course who ever responds I'm game to do either because " I love my country"!! I had friends that died from 9-11 and as I sit in my office, every day I stare at Dennis Leary who was the Star of "Rescue Me" and in an odd way him and I connect. Actually in a sad way. Jimmy Ryan who lived a block from me dies of Pancreatic cancer that was related to 9-11. FDNY Firefighter Jim Ryan of Kings Park, 48, dies His only daughter is my daughters best friend. We take here on vaca and she's at my house all the time. I consider her my "3rd daughter". So I obviously lean towards here in NY. It's poetic justice to end this attack with the Powerwashing Industry closing out to "Whats good". But if the opportunity was to come I would no doubt clean anything "White House" and I would do both if it's possible. My goal is to try for either within a year. -
Or do you believe in you make your own luck/Miracles?

Unfortunately I'm watching one of the few shows I watch on TV "Shameless". I love watching underdogs try to overcome but these people are a bit of a sleaze and scary thing is I know people like this.

Last night right after Jim was having Dinner with his wife and 2 children he suddenly felt sharp pain in his left shoulder, armpit and the left side of his chest. He was rushed to the hospital where there now keeping Jim in for a second night while there doing a battery of test to see what caused his excruciating pain. His family has been at the hospital since yesterday. Thru it all, differences or not, the one thing that matters is Jim gets healthy again. Jimbo- Godspeed on your recovery!! Send your prayers to Jim and his family.

This has been a very trying day that was topped off by having Jim Gambles wife text a few of us thru his phone that he's been in the hospital since yesterday. I see Al Patterson on here and he knows some good religious quotes. How about it Al and anyone else? It's one of those days that anything uplifting is a plus.

Good to see you back on line Jimbo:wink:

I had the honors of meeting Larry Hinckley in Dallas at a PWNA Convention around 2004-2005. I even called Delco in the late 90's when he worked for that company to pick his brain about a few things. Larry would answer and help anyone in this Industry at anytime. He also administrated the Delco Bulletin board back in the day when it was by far the number 1 Internet site to go when it came to Powerwashing. To this day I still not have seen any bb as dominate for it's time as that one was. Larry has helped so many people including myself that the list would be never ending. He is a giant in this industry and he will never be forgotten as a person who really cared... To help you:cool: THANK YOU LARRY HINCKLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else have anything to add Post it here.. Thank You Larry Hinckley - The Final Interview with a Power Washing Industry Maven Before His Retirement / Powerwash Blog

What constitutes a violation of your first amendment right to free speech
John T replied to Mathew Johnson's question in The Club House
You ever wonder to yourself as "Why care anymore"? Stuff like this gets me jaded. I've always been a person who may "Care to much" and in most cases I got heavily involved in things that I do. If it's fun and rewarding then those two alone to me are great motivators. When you take away that you no longer believe in something because of maybe the past history and it doesn't seem to be worth the effort to get involved anymore because you just know deep down inside "Nothing is going to change" So here's the question -Why Care any more about something you just no longer believe in?- That's what I ask myself and everyday I care a little less to the point I'm soon not going to care anymore. In my case I get whammied because of the "Failure" of the past where some like to stick it to ya because of the past. That's another argument I need to stay away from as well. A failure is just that and no matter how hard one tried and a bunch of us indeed tried and gave it our best shots-- it failed. Time to move to bigger and more exciting things then just re-living the past over and over. -
Did y'all ever see my new rig I just finished?
John T replied to alvisishere's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Real nice Al! What's the GVWR of that trailer? Also did you weld that shelf setup on your trailer or did you have someone do it for you? -
Excellent Al!! That's about the best explanation I ever received concerning this. I appreciate this and also the time you took to write this. It makes sense the way you post this which tells me you do know what your posting about. Thank you:smile-new:

Isn't that the Truth Mike! Jim's a fighter who's wife is making sure he takes it easy for a few days so he can get away from it all for some R&R. He'll be back for sure.

I talked to Jim today. He was released this morning and is resting. He needs to go for more testing to see if maybe there was a restricted blood vessel that may have caused his problem. The doctor ordered him to take a few days rest. Jim wanted me to let the bb's community know that he appreciates the concern and well wishes.

I believe in God and I get closer to my beliefs everyday....but.. of course being extremely analytical I have some issues that I have to deal with. So if you don't mind sharing what do you believe in and what doubts do you have?
-
Hey Al what determines why one guy may have so much including having excellent health and another guy hardly has much of anything and his health is terrible when they both love God equally? (I know, I know.. I need to stop thinking so analytically:)
-
Jim would be the first guy who would tell you he has difficulty posting what he's really saying but in person he's a really nice guy who just loves talking about parking garages. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping Jim's doing better today and I can report positive news about that.

Anyone have any uplifting religious Quotes? Al?
John T replied to John T's question in The Club House
Very good.. Maybe sooner then later I should crack open a bible for the first time to see what it's all about. -
Here you go Al-- don't you just hate it when someone puts you in the spotlight:) http://www.thegrimescene.com/forums/club-house/24973-anyone-have-any-uplifting-religious-quotes-al.html

Ok.. After hearing about Jim Gamble in the hospital since yesterday I'll start a new thread for an uplifting religious quote. Could sure use one. I can't add any because I don't know any-- pretty pathetic:apologetic:
-
Good to see you here Al. How about starting a thread on a good religious quote for the day:)
-
Yes will do. Jim's wife text us thru his phone today on what happened. To say this was shocking is an understatement. A couple of committee guys confirmed this to be accurate and Jim was in alot of pain and is not getting released as of earlier today. When I hear more I'll keep people in the know.

Where getting our website finished up, we have mailers going out in about 2 weeks, I'll be servicing the machines all this week and where calling to find out how some of our bids are doing that we put out the last few weeks. I have Beth's article folded over as a must read. I always enjoyed Beths articles. From the blastmaster mag yrs ago all the way up to now and in the future. Out of everyone I know in this business, Beth is the one contractor that I can recall that has written the most articles for multiple subscriptions and every article was done with a true writers flair with "Facts" backing everything up. Shhhh little secret about Beth shhhhh she has an ancestor who's a signer on this country's "Declaration of Independence" Anyone want to take a guess of who that is???

Good luck on the DSing Los. I use to DS all the time until I discovered about X-Jets on these bulletin boards and never looked back. I always love the draw of the X-Jet but some people still prefer the DSing regardless. At least now you have 2 more weapons in your cleaning arsenal.

I agree with what your saying Matt except I would say 100-1 that your right. Follow the money trail and it will take you right to the source almost every single time.
