Call the warranty number on the card that came with the engine. When you do that see if they honor the warranty or if Envirospec does. Take the persons names you speak to at the engine warranty center so if you have to leave another message with Envirspec you can also leave the name of the people you spoke to. One of them must cover the warranty. Good luck.

I bought from all the above except from Russ but I hear he is a great guy to buy from. As for Envirospec I buy a ton from them because of pricing. I get my military discount along with my bonus bucks on every order(we order monthly from them in season). It's rare I need to contact Envirospec(I order everything online) and I do have to say that there customer service is not exceptional and they should improve on that but I've been with them for so long (almost 20 yrs) and I maintain all of my equipment it's rare I need to talk to them, As for that Lifan engine I did purchase that from them with the electric starter. I put together my own small gear driven Powerwasher that we use this for applying chemicals with an x-jet mainly for some accounts we have. This machine is bolted on my flatbed. So far no problems with the engine but like Guy said above "you get what you paid for" and this engine was cheap. So for now I keep my fingers crossed and hope it last the year.

Great bands Rick and I was fortunate enough to see both. The Ramones I seen at the old Ritz in NY city where a young Matt Dillon (right after the Movie the Outsiders came out) was in attendance. Huge fan of both. I also seen the Talking Heads around 1981. Man time flies and I sure did have fun yesteryear :)

I just saved 10% from Sunbelt via my PWNA discount!!
John T posted a topic in PWNA News, Events, and Information
I just got my 10% discount from Sunbelt on another Tennant scrubber where renting for Tomorrow's garage. We rent these scrubbers and lifts from Sunbelt around 10x yr. Sunbelt wasn't aware of this discount yet so I explained to them that corporate went to the PWNA Convention and said PWNA members get a discount. They immediately gave me a 10% discount but they wanted some proof that I was a member. I brought my old PWNA BOD card but it dawn on me that I could show I was a PWNA member thru the PWNA website www.PWNA.org Either way I saved $60 here. My typical year I would save around $1000 from Sunbelt with my PWNA discount. -

Its going to be a work in progress but I will give it my best shot along with the PWNA bulletin board staff to make this another area for Powerwashing Contractors and Distributors to interact. I have to say that I did learn a lot from the best starting with Beth Boreggo and TGS :)

How cold before you stop residential & commercial washing?
John T posted a question in Residential Pressure Washing
Usually around 40-45 degrees is our cutoff for residential washes. Wood restoration is at least 50 degrees. Commercial washing we'll go down to just above freezing and in that case we have to know how much later the freezing temps will come so we don't leave a place like a skating rink. So what's your cold cutoff temps? -
TGS member Ted Watson Passed away last week from a fall he took off of a ladder. He will be missed. RIP Ted!

PWNA Board of Director Matt Pierce on the news!
John T posted a topic in PWNA News, Events, and Information
PWNA Board of Director Matt Pierce on the news about the Window washers who were dangling 68 stories up from the Freedom Tower in NY that was built to replace the Twin Towers that came down during 9-11. http://www.wcvb.com/news/window-washers-rescued-70stories-above-the-ground/29690534 Great Job Matt in giving the Industry some positive representation during a moment of crisis! -
I did an estimate on a roof Saturday that is loaded with Black Algae stains. It's a large roof but in the warm weather it's a very easy clean. Since the cold weather is upon us she should wait until spring for us to clean this but here is the dilemma -- She is putting the house up for sale Dec 1 so she needs this roof cleaned ASAP. She also said she would sweeten the pot by an additional $500 for us to do this. So here's my thinking-- At job site I can mix my roof mixture with hot water to make it warm at least. Then before applying we can rinse roof with hot water to bring up the surface temp of the asphalt shingles. Then from there saturate the roof with our cleaning mixture. Do a few warm coats of our cleaning mixture at maybe 20 minutes apart. None of this would be done if temp is under 40 for the day. So do you guys think this would work ok? Also keep in mind there is most likely no spring option for this lady because her house is going on the market next month.

Winter was my favorite month growing up. I was big into winter sports such as Ice Hockey. I always loved the change of seasons and I'm glad my kids got to experience the same things I did. Getting on in the years my body aches when it gets cold. I also feel the cold so much more... If all goes well my goal is to be a snowbird with a house in Florida and one here in NY.. Just like my parents do.
