  1. Stuck TS 2021 pump

Could the pulley/belt alignment gone out a little bit? This happens to us on one powerwasher where after 300 or so hrs of use the same thing happens to this pump. We burnt up a few belts because of it. Just today again we had to realign the belts a hair and then tightened it back up. So far so good.
  2. I think about this alot. Can we do another Large Volunteer job that could involve orgs or just powerwashers without any affiliations. Personally I am leaning towards involving orgs/associations. In the past the PWNA was involved with cleaning the baseball hall of fame stadium in Cooperstown NY as well as cleaning the Lincoln Memorial in DC. I keep eying places in NY city in my area that are historical. Anywhere in anyplace USA this could happened. Who would be interested in this and what idea's would you have?
  3. Lol.. It maybe even dirtier the next go round....
  4. If there is another one you will most definitely be welcome to participate if you feel up to it. I'd like to see another one of these again one day. We really enjoyed the Cooperstown one and would have loved to be at the Lincoln Memorial one but couldn't because of our summer family vacation then.
  5. Maybe other opportunities will present themselves again in the future..... You just never know;)
  6. Family vacation then my daughter goes back to college. August is always tough for us to do anything outside of family.
  7. Beth are you going?
  8. If thats a ground floor deck yes there could be a moisture air problem. I had a couple of decks over the years where they were ground floor and we had issues with not only the deck taking forever to dry but the stain itself did not dry correctly. Thats what it looks like now in your picture. Its rare this happens but every now and then we all run into this problem if we do enough decks.
  9. My good Buddy Rob Huffman who was also on the cover of the Cleaner Times at least once as well. Here's a picture of him on a cover shot when he was doing the free cleaning of the Lincoln Memorial with a bunch of others while he was with the www.pwna.org Who would ever think the Cleaner Times would put me and Rob on seperate cover shots years apart when where both "Rough and Tumble" type of dudes??? My guess on this is because....WE CARE!!
  10. Here's a picture of "Sucker" me back then cleaning the Baseball Hall of Fame Stadium roof for free....to give back:)
  11. Yes I agree with Jim. AC products are excellent but unless their applied correctly like any other stain should be there could be problems. Prep work could be called into question here as well as the weather when it was applied such as was the wood in direct sunlight and was it extremely hot when the stain was applied. The odds of AC having a bad batch of stain is just about slim to none.
  12. I know why I do because I enjoy helping contractors and I'm forever indebted to the ones who did the same thing for me when I first started. One of those guys who since passed on was David Olson.
  13. Great post Rod!! Delco bulletin board was by far the best one on the net in the late 90's. I thought it would never be touched as a place to learn the most about Powerwashing on the net..... Then along came TGS.
  14. Could use some help finding another truck.

Hey Ryan nice truck!! I bought some vehicles off of Ebay over the years that were excellent trucks. Both my trucks now I bought from Ebay. The pickup came from Florida & the flatbed came from Texas. If you want to search Craigslist nationwide there are sights for that such as this one http://www.dailylister.com/ Good luck.
  15. This can also go into the residential. Set your machinery up where you can do commercial/residential work with high volume soap/rinsing!! To make max money in most cases is do you have the proper machinery to do the job and then do you have the will/gumption to do what it takes to get it done if your doing it or you employees are. Also build your setup to have heat in it. I learned this from my good pal David Olson who since passed away and was a previous org treasurer as I was, set yourself up to handle almost any job that comes your way. So are you setup for that?
  16. I'm up early because I have a ton of things to do today. Usually my guys are gone before I get up on most days. They usually leave between 6:30-7am M-Sa this time of yr. May is almost always our best month for Residential cleanings. We can't book jobs fast enough. Didn't you wish every Month was like May when it comes to residential cleanings?
  17. Great Post Brian. In my company setup we bring on some par timers when we get overloaded. Had 2 part timers working with us for 2 weeks so far recently. I have some huge jobs lined up down the road where I need to bring in upwards to 3-4 more part timers. With that being said, I pay my 2 full-time guys year round so I don't buy anymore then the 2 trucks and 2 trailers I have because I'm not convinced I can keep guys busy enough year round. Maybe I'm not that big of a risk taker.
  18. AC & Bakers are also very good stains. Many of us have Met the creator of A/C who is of course the one and only Jake Clark. Aces I'm everyone's books. I believe Shane here uses Bakers and he's a master at it. You should see his work. Off tue charts beautiful. We even had the pleasure quite a few time to meet Pierce Fitchet(can't spell his last name my apologies) who created Ready Seal. As for Tracy.. He is a passionate dude who stained decks himself and he wanted you to know how well Ready Seal works. He loves the stuff as do many others. But as I say to people in this Industry "if your mind is made up...it's made up" and we go from there.
  19. Tracy Handl knows what he's talking about. I seen Tracy at quite a few PWNA Conventions and other Industry events. He's taught wood restoration classes along with demonstrating equipment. If you met Tracy you would like him as everyone that I know does. He's probably selling Ready Seal stain which some contractors swear by. You can't buy that Stain in any big box type store since it's for contractors only and it's contractor grade. Do a search here on TGS about Ready Seal and you'll probably find mostly good stories about it.
  20. This is the bulletin board I've been a member of the longest in our Industry. let's show our appreciation to Beth/Rod for creating such a professional bulletin board where people are helping people. Thanks Beth/Rod:)
  21. No but after that comment I could use a drink...lolSo has this site helped you any?
  22. Would appreciate some opinions

Matt-I wouldn't suggest doing work on other people's property with no insurance for all the obvious reasons. If something goes wrong you'll be personally held liable and its against the law to operate a business with no insurance which if a homeowner reports you to the consumer affairs division in your town you could be facing a large Fine. Not worth the risk.
  23. PROS AND CONS OF PRESSURE CLEANING

Please pass the spam.....uhhhhh no thanks.
  24. Rod is a true expert!! Can't think of a thing to add except this DON'T USE ANYTHING BEHR. Ok I said my piece.
