  1. Going Green--With Reclaiming

Cool I have to check them out...I watched his bio numerous times on the bio channel and I seen the movie "Walk the line" with the ever pretty Reese Witherspoon who won the accademy award for her portrayal as June Carter Cash,,,Jaqeen Pheonix should have also won but he lost to that gay character...Truman Capote,,,Holyqueer loves the gay stuff...Not that there is anything wrong with that (Seinfeld Show).
  2. I have slept with some here

I think my shirt says "Fat" for size because it fits real well.:lolsign:

  4. Thank you to our TGS Site Supporters!

Anytime Beth/Rod....You guys do a great job with TGS and keeping people connected. Your tireless efforts here and in promoting Roundtables and the industry in general I feel that this is the least I can do to. Its money well spent on my end. You have to give to get and I've had a good past year "Getting" so the "Giving" part was easy. Great job and keep it thru 08 and many years beyond. Your friend.
  5. Hotel Pricing for Roundtables

Why don't people book cheaper hotels when they go to the Roundtables? I know the Holiday in for Toms Roundtable has a group rate block for $96 instead of the $119 which is a good rate for a hotel of that quality but right down the road from there I can book at the Travel Inn for $45/nite.. I just go to these Hotels to sleep like I do at the other cheap Hotels like the Econo Lodges. Why don't the people who set up these roundtable go for the cheaper hotels to block off rooms? This is one of the things that I wondered over the years. My money is better spent at a Roundtable then the bed I'm sleeping in for a nite or to. What do others think about this.
  6. Hotel Pricing for Roundtables

Celeste, My wife is going to take Beth's marketing class and if there is an opening In Tom Vogles class I'm going to take that. Do you know where those classes are going to be held at?? I need to know asap so I can book my hotel. Thanks
  7. How have websites helped?

That what it also sounds like to me.
  8. Who's Going to the ACR Roundtable

My wife and I are going. My wife Kathy will be attending Beths Marketing class and both of us will be at the Pig roast Sat. nite and the Roundtable on Sunday.
  9. How small is your trailer?

Here's a speed trailer that the police dep't paid almost $5000 for and thats not even the cost of the radar which was another $3000. I bought this trailer at an auction and its well build and rock solid but it aint worth no where near what the PD paid for it. I use it to store all kinds of things in there. This trailer is about 5 ft long..oh yea I paid $200 for it at an auction.
  10. Powerwashing in the winter

Just another cold day here. This picture was taken today of my truck and trailer. Last week when the ice storm hit here there was alot more ice around this truck. Tomorrow I'm supposed to powerwash some commercial flatwork before this store opens or after it closes and the way things are looking its still going to be to cold. Hopefully the'll let me do the store Tuesday or Wed nite where its supposed to be a little warmer..
  11. Powerwashing in the winter

I agree with that. I can see a large company having the ability to price some large commercial jobs lower but to go way to low that is wrong and I would always believe that. It should be a fair playing field and may the best company win. Here's a point you Scott may find interesting. I was never a fan of reclaiming. I am not one of those politically correct guys. Never will be. I fertilize the heck out of my lawn and on occasion smoke a cigar on my deck with the knowledge that the smoke is bad for me and the atmosphere. Sounds minute(small) but put a few millions of me's together and that is where the political correct ones start getting there hairs up. I'd be one of the first ones to tell you that I;m not looking into reclaiming to be the guy that is saving the US drinking water. Maybe when I get older and wiser I'll think like that but for now that is not my reason. Somebody about two months ago gave me my reason but they put it much more eloquently..When I was explaining why I was looking into the reclaiming they came back with what I'm doing was staying ahead of that "Curve" thats out there in this field or maybe even in life. That is why I got into reclaiming which is to stay ahead or on top of that curve. Can you understand that logic?? I'm probably not making myself clear but I am also not a college graduate. This other person made my thinking clearer the way he explained what I was thinking.
  12. How have websites helped?

Thats a ground ball question. Your website is like a brochure about your business that many people can view for nothing. Put your website in ALL of your advertising. With that being done your website opens many doors for potential jobs. A Website today is a Must!! Like Bill Gates said back in the 90's "If people don't get a computer within 3 yrs they'll be left behind" to rephrase that John Tornabene says(Ok Joe nobody) if you don't have a website for your business in the very near future you'll be left behind the Money train!! So don't miss out:)
  13. Powerwashing in the winter

Scott, The Flip side to all of this is that some people charge by the hour and if there getting $200+ an hour because of there technology but it works out to lets say only 3-4 cents per square foot I can't knock them because they have the ability to make a ton even though its less per sq ft. I guess it comes down to if someone said Scott try this machine out to clean 100,000 SQ ft and you can make $300/hr doing it at 3 cents per sq. it doesnt make you a lowballer because of that. Its all about Volume and how much can you handle and how fast along with doing a good job. Its Semantics at its finest..With considering the fact that the job always come out nice. Now if someone is doing a half assed job at 3 cents an hour then in my book that would be considered a low baller. Its all in the numbers game and if your making big dough and your doing a good job(That is a must) and you have a crew and the technology etc. you may be able to charge a little less per sq' but your making a ton more money. This I wouldn't say is Lowballing. This I would say is an established operation that most can't attain. I haven't yet thats for sure.
  14. Powerwashing in the winter

No you should always charge what the job is worth even more if you can get it. In most cases even though you may have recovery equipment it doesn't neccessarily mean you'll get more money for the job. You May get more jobs because you can recover. The other thing is that if you have some of the technology such as bigger machines and less water to push around you may be able to cut a substantial amount of time off a job so per hour wise you can make alot more money even though per Sq' price may be the same. Thats the principle as I see it. Also doing Demo's in the commercial market and educating your customer may also help to land more jobs.
  15. Powerwashing in the winter

Yup I heard stories like that when the water is getting reclaimed because there is just about no water left on the surface because its getting vacuumed up it dries within minutes..I'll know more about this next winter:)
  16. Hotel Pricing for Roundtables

If the Roundtable like a Convention is in a Hotel I would definitely book there. I guess it depends on whats going on. Most Roundtables I usually go and leave the same day. I also don't check into a dive hotel. Those seedy hotel days are the thing of the past when Hard partying was high on the agenda. Still I do look for the Econo lodges and places like that when I just need a stop off for a place to sleep which is usually all I need when traveling. I also book cheap flights like I did when I went to Texas a few weeks ago..$212 Roundtrip..yea it was 6 hrs with stop offs each way but that Time I can always use for something..Thank God for Cell phones and Laptops.. Now when my wife and Kids are involved thats another story..On my own I go cheap because I spend when I'm out........
  17. Powerwashing in the winter

Allright rub it in Ron..err I mean Scott. These Arizona guys like to break chops about the weather this time of year. You'll get yours in the summer with the 117 degrees and the sneakers melting all the time..I should open up a sneaker business in Arizona in the summer and make a small fortune:)
  18. How small is your trailer?

Thats funny:) My swabby hat is bigger then that trailer.lol I should pull up one day on a cedar house restoration job with that trailer and this tool with wheels I have to walk that trailer Just to see the customers reaction, and then when I get there have a couple of guys jump out of it like a circus clown act.lol
  19. Hotel Pricing for Roundtables

Here's a site that also gives the hotels in the area for which this case is Toms roundtable in PA. Easton, PA 18040-7045 - Yahoo! Maps
  20. Why not to vote for HRC in 2008.

Hey Rick, You and I might have been on the same ship. I was on the USS Ponce LPD15 from 83-85. Are you sure you where on an LPD12? I think we went to Beriut Lebenon around 83-84 after the Marines where killed in the barricks. We where supposed to go on an Mediteranian cruise with some European countries as some liberty ports but then we where sent to Beriut. Its so many years ago so my mind might be a little jaded about that time frame but I'm thinking that you where on this ship. I was there when that accident happen in 84 when our dumb captain at the time decided to do drills in Onslo Bay during a windy day when the stern gate broke off USS Ponce (LPD 15) and we had to go the philly yards for repair. I think he lost his command over this and our New Captain was a NYer from Hells Kitchen...My kind of guy.
  21. Why not to vote for HRC in 2008.

Hey Rick---your a Jarhead..cool..I'm a squid that use to be on an amphibious ship with you guys...One of my best friends today is Jarhead.. I started to read that thing about Billary but as soon as I got to the point of it saying the "New York Democrat" that was it...She will give the Dems a bad name...for her to me she is a "Demo rat". She's rotten to the core.. The other Dems look strong but her and I met her.. I can;t stomach her bullxxxx. If you seen her you can see right thru her just like I did as does some of her secret service men do.... Hopefully no nut job ever takes a shot at her because you wont see her men jumping in front of her like they did For Reagan.......
  22. XJet Compatibility

Me to. I've used tons of downstream injectors over the years and the x-jet rules by far in my books..
  23. Hey Beth--This may sound like a dumb question but my wife won't eat pork. Will there be anything to eat besides the Pig?? If we go I'll be eating her portion of the pig also...I love Fatty foods:)
  24. Parking garage

yup I agree with above. I would guess 5-6 cent per square may land you that job which would mean around $25,000 for the job. How many days do you expect to take to clean it and do you have to reclaim the water??
  25. What time do the Saturday classes begin and also what time does the Sunday roundtable start and about what is the guestimate time the Sunday Roundtable will end??
