  1. Mid life crisis toy

Thanks guys. Not my driveway. I wish my driveway look like that even though it needs some Powerwashing. My driveway needs to be repaved because the blacktop is falling to pieces. Who has time to fix there own houses anyway.:p I put a couple of thousand down for the down payment and I have to pay the rest by next week which then I will pick up this beauty and then if the wife complains I'll put her in the car with me along with my 2 girls so we all can take a spin. Then I'll drop them off and...............;)
  2. Mid life crisis toy

Thank guys. This car in its day could beat the Corvettes,Mustangs,Porches etc. I also know this because back then I had an 86 Mustang GT convertible(Same colors black with grey interior which are my 2 favorite in a Vehicle) and I could not come close to these cars. One thing I will not do is street race this car....except maybe up to 60 mph;). I learned my lesson back in 88 when I was racing my friends Audi. Like 2 idiots we were hitting speeds of close to 140mph which is stupid. Racing against a foreign auto you never want to keep racing at high speeds because those cars can get way up there. Sure enough while going around a turn at 70+ I lost control of my mustang and I hit the divider. I didn't total my car and thankfully I didn't get hurt but the $8,000+ damage I put on this car made this car never the same again and pretty much put my racing in permanent retirement. What I still like is the feel of raw power behind the wheel and this car gives that and then some.:D
  3. Avatars etc...

I would put my mug shot here but then the bad guys will know who I am:2eyes: One of these days...one of these days..one of these days....
  4. Hd-80

Beth, What is the name of the product that you sell that keeps HD-80 staying longer on vertical surfaces?? I thought I read somwhere its called hang time. I have to strip a Cedar Clap board house in the near future this is the reason that I'm asking. Also do I even need it on a job like this?? Also what is the cost of this product and what sizes does it come in and what is the mixture ratio of it that is added to the HD-80?? Thanks
  5. Hd-80

Beth, Did you ever order me the 1 gallon of Hangtime?? I need it soon. Also do you sell Gutterzap?? If so how much for a 5 gallon container or whatever size you sell them in?? Thanks
  6. Can't argue that. Its like you say "marketing 101". As always its what works best for you so if it works stick with it. As for me I don't use it because I don't need to but it doesn't mean I will never use it.
  7. Every House wash I do the gutters and shutters are included in the price. IT says so on the estimate sheet/contract that I use. Every thing extra they pay. We give nothing away free. Don't need to. I use to but now I am so much better at selling a job and I get top $$$$ and they get excellent results. Everything is done correctly with ABSOLUTELY no short cuts. My REPUTATION is numro uno to me and I Build my business on that!!!!
  8. I give Robert credit. He is a realist and he has to put food on the table like the rest of us. I leen towards Tony's approach myself where I target High end area's so I can charge alot more and give them in return top of the line work. Believe it or not my per Hour rate is always much higher at these area's because when you think about it you may be doing a job there that takes alot longer and you have that figured into your price whereas a lower scale neighborhood you are in and out much faster but you are not getting paid for your driving around time. It's just another way looking at this.
  9. Hd-80

Hi Beth, Got your e-mail today. Everythings a go. Thanks
  10. Hd-80

Beth, Could you send me a gallon of it and charge my credit card that you have on record. Better yet if you can e-mail me the credit card number you have on record so I know which one I gave you and bill that card for the gallon and shipping. If you can't do this let me know and I'll just call. Thanks
  11. I Can't Hold Back Any Longer.

Tim, Thanks for the complements even though I am not deserving of them. Guys and Gals like Everett Abrams, Beth, Doc Reisman, Mike Hughes and other involved members are. I am a paying PWNA member who Unfortunely doesn't have the time to commit to help this organization along. I feel the least I can do is be a paying member so in that way I am supporting them so maybe oneday they can get those Insurance Benefits etc. that they are stryving for that can help some powerwashers. As for myself I don't need medical benefits because I have them for life and my family has it also(My kids untill there 21). You may ask how do I have this?? Easy. I belong to a union that has Money and power and through that we were able to negotiate this into our contracts. So you see its reasons like this that I support Unions and ORGANIZATIONS because the strength will always be in numbers which equals $$$$=POWER. Plain and simple. Hopefully in the future I will have some time to devote to the PWNA as an active member but untill then I will continously support them because I know first hand the potential that they have.
  12. I have to give a price on cleaning this marble siding biulding. The marble is 23' and 14' long in each direction(Corner biulding). My question is what would you use to clean it?? It doesn't even look that dirty. I am thinking to use EZ-Clean which has a marble cleaner. Any other thoughts on this would be appreciated.
  13. I Can't Hold Back Any Longer.

Tim, Organizations aren't for everyone. This has been made clear from numerous posts over the years especially concerning the PWNA. I still feel that the PWNA is a good starting point for an Organization that represents us. The people that are involve in it now will hopefully pave the way for guys like yourself to become members one day. Its rewarding if us members now can do it for future members. There's not much else I can add. Good luck if you ever do find "THAT" organization and if you do as always clue us in.
  14. Cleaning marble siding

The Marble actually looks pitted in some area's. I would like to Powerwash it to clean it but for some reason possibly buffing it clean seems to be a better choice.
  15. I Can't Hold Back Any Longer.

The perfect organization for us would be for Powerwashing contractors only but that would most likely always be wishful thinking. Why?? Because Distributers/Manufactors have on most accounts more Money then the average contractor and MONEY=POWER. This is why I don't have a problem with the PWNA. Yes you could argue that DELCO is a major influence with the PWNA because Robert Hindeliter is one of the co-founders of this organization which doesn't make it a bad thing because of Roberts Excellent reputation in this industry. Also with the new Leaderships thats in place there(PWNA) most of them have NO connection what so ever with DELCO. Alot of these Idea's brought up by Tim Smith and others here would be better if they came up at PWNA's site so other members and PWNA board members can read it and add some input. This is how great idea's can come about. I will add this and alot may disagree here but if you would like to see better things happen with the PWNA you should BECOME a MEMBER and help make it change for the better. As in all Organizations, If you want to make them listen to you it always helps if you are a member first and Honestly for me at least the $175 or so that it cost to become a member is no big deal. It shouldn't be for anyone in this field and if it wasn't then look at the Power the PWNA would have then. Health Benefits along with other idea's would be able to be implemented.
  16. Favorite Surface Cleaner

I have a 30"Big Guy(Elite and is heavy) a 27"hydrotek and a 24" whirl-a-way. The Hydrotek and Whirl-a-way are light. The whirl-a-way is plastic and can not handle very hot water(I warped the Plastic bell housing using hot water) The one I like best is the 27"Hydrotek. The Bell housing is aluminum and very light. The size seems to be the perfect size for me to use. This eleminated my theory that some ladies always knew...BIGGER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER!!!!
  17. My new truck

My New Truck:1989 Ford F-350 DIESEL. 108,000 miles on it. Truck comes with Generator,Air Compressor, 30'Bucket Lift. The Paint job is custom to the colors of my business(black/red). This truck will be used for my Commercial end of my business.
  18. My new truck

That is the company I bought the truck from. I dealt with Brian Shafer. I told him what I wanted and we agreed on a deal. This wasn't done thru auction on ebay even though I kept losing out on bidding with him and other companies. He can get you what you want when it comes to Bucket trucks. I highly reccommend his services.
  19. My new truck

I had the truck painted Red because black and Red are my business colors. The Back of the truck is open. I also put a PWNA logo picture on the drivers side of the truck(Can be seen in above first picture)
