  1. Vinyl siding pretty much was a death sentence aluminim siding here. A typical aluminum sided house here will be 30+yrs old. That is why so many of these sided houses have oxidized paint on them and that is why we almost always turn down cleaning them because of the potential problems you very well could have dealing with aluminum.

To me the least headaches I can have running my business is what I strive for and aluminum siding has caused me headsches in the past which I just dont need anymore.

  2. What soap did you you use on the house and do you have any before pics you can show us? Personally we stay far away from cleaning aluminum sided houses unless they want them prepped to be painted. Reason we stay away from just cleaning aluminum is because the pant on it becomes oxidized and can easily come off during cleaning.

  3. It was a constant battle to get the "Powers to be" within the PWNA to support the bulletin board. I just built 3 PWNA distributors their own section within the board and they loved it. The final death sentence here came when I was on a conference call and one of the BOD's made it clear that he doesn't give a Shizz about the board. These guys don't like social networking(there stuck in the dark ages). I also had control of their FB page which I was just about to release a private group section for them...that came to a stop as well.

There's more to this story of course but to leave it at this.. I completed a BOD term yrs ago for them and the 2nd go around this time wasn't what I expected & to fight to get things done in there was costing me way to much time. So I gave up all of my positions within the org which the President(His words) "Regretfully accepted".

I wished them the best of luck and I moved on.

  4. The PWNA Board of Directors never really supported the board so all my efforts that went into creating this bulletin board went up in smoke. I closed the board but did notify the BOD's that if anyone wants to run it I'll give them the passwords and I'll also work with the new admin for a month to help settle him/her in. No one stepped up so the board is probably going to stay closed and then dissolve. To bad because it was doing very well..............

  5. Call the warranty number on the card that came with the engine. When you do that see if they honor the warranty or if Envirospec does. Take the persons names you speak to at the engine warranty center so if you have to leave another message with Envirspec you can also leave the name of the people you spoke to. One of them must cover the warranty.

    Good luck.

  6. I bought from all the above except from Russ but I hear he is a great guy to buy from.

As for Envirospec I buy a ton from them because of pricing. I get my military discount along with my bonus bucks on every order(we order monthly from them in season).

It's rare I need to contact Envirospec(I order everything online) and I do have to say that there customer service is not exceptional and they should improve on that but I've been with them for so long (almost 20 yrs) and I maintain all of my equipment it's rare I need to talk to them,

As for that Lifan engine I did purchase that from them with the electric starter. I put together my own small gear driven Powerwasher that we use this for applying chemicals with an x-jet mainly for some accounts we have. This machine is bolted on my flatbed. So far no problems with the engine but like Guy said above "you get what you paid for" and this engine was cheap. So for now I keep my fingers crossed and hope it last the year.

  8. 6" of overnight snow on the ground. Time for some real music from a gone-by era. Crank it up.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obAtn6I5rbYIwas fortunate to see David Byrne and the Talking Heads three times in small clubs in the Philadelphia area. Before their first album came out. Each time, once the music started, everyone were on their feet dancing until the show ended. The bands' percussion unit, along with David Byrne's psychotic wildness, was a thing to behold. The energy flow in those clubs at that time was beyond compare. Woodstock did not come close, and I was there.Another oldie but more than goodie. Never saw the Ramones live, but played their vinyl to death. Got a sweet girl into your rental, throw on their 1st album, and you were set for the night.https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-ts=1421914688&v=hPp0-3Vo2uM&x-yt-cl=84503534Rock out. Increase the volume. Magically, we're in our 20's again. For a bit.Do not underestimate the power of the number 7.

Great bands Rick and I was fortunate enough to see both. The Ramones I seen at the old Ritz in NY city where a young Matt Dillon (right after the Movie the Outsiders came out) was in attendance. Huge fan of both.

I also seen the Talking Heads around 1981. Man time flies and I sure did have fun yesteryear :)
