AC Sequoia Deck
TNRoofCleaner posted a question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
This is a deck we stained with AC Sequoia. We also replace 43 missing spindles and added a handrail to the right side of the stairs. There was none. -
Alaskan Yellow Cedar sealer/stain
TNRoofCleaner replied to billdvorak's topic in DIY'ers - Ask The Pro's
You are fine Bill. Everyone has their right way of doing things and the thread is just evolving into one of those type battles. If you are happy and willing to maintain then all is well. Congrats on that beautiful wood. -

Throw a small piece of plywood up there to stand on. Helps with the slick part. -

Alaskan Yellow Cedar sealer/stain

Rod he is in Oregon, only the deck is from Alaska....LOL If he is anywhere near the west coast I have heard it has been unseasonably cool this year. I do agree with Rod though, cut it with toner to get a lighter color. Your wood looks great by the way. -

California rules and Behr drools..
TNRoofCleaner replied to MMI Enterprises's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
They should do their test in Tennessee and see how long Behr lasts. -
For this get one of those USPS boxes that are flat fee and fill it with what ever you can stuff in. I usually send 5 lbs of Jolly ranchers and other snack things they can take with them in the field but will not melt. Toiletries are another good thing or single serving drink mixes. Just some Ideas.

Advice on Possible Set Up
TNRoofCleaner replied to Jamesa37's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
What I meant was that if you looked at all their items they had the same trailer set up for under 2k LOL Keep an eye out for this type of seller as they will do this all the time. I think it was 1995 or somewhere around there. I just found one of those tanks on Craigslist for $45. Lets see to get the same rig 1. 4 GPM pressure washer (New or used) 2. Hose Reel (undecided) 3. 150' Pressure Hose (Buy new) 4. 100' Garden Hose (don't let the wife know you took it.) 5. Trailer (Buy Used) 6. Tank (buy Used) 7. Don't need the generator. -

Look at all their items and there are other identical set ups for less. -
Seeking Feedback - Would value your opinions.
TNRoofCleaner replied to weathershield's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I like the color but you all tend to see how it looks on cedar or ipe but never yellow pine. I would have to see how it looked on pine as that is what we have the most of down here. -
Got to love how the sun changes your stain color
TNRoofCleaner replied to TNRoofCleaner's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
He had a painter doing some painting on the rest of the home and he also did the rails. When I do them I use SW Deckscapes Ultra White. It is about the brightest, cleanest white I could find that I really liked for a contrast. The paint color on this one actually is just about the same as masking tape. -
Don't pass just charge more.

Beth what I think it is, is Google web master tools for his site and some links from here have probably dropped off. LOL If he waits longer more will drop. All he had to do was go to the thread and see if they were still there. ALERT: Beth now has Google Powers.... LOL Mike READ this carefully or have someone translate it. In order for me to consider someone competition I have to want to be like them. You consider See Dirt Run competition because you want to be like them. They don't see you as competition because they do NOT want to be like you. The decks that you are doing they would probably not even bid. Soooo there is no way they are afraid of you. They don't see you as competition. Now if you go head to head with them on a bid and start wining then maybe but I don't see that happening.

Mike your links are aging. Don't be the other word for donkey and just keep working. This is a natural occurrence with any links. Read up on Search engine optimization. As far as Beth and Rod being scared of you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: If Beth was angry you would see :bullistic:bullistic:bullistic I thought you had turned around. Now you are talking about how successful you have become and ypy post this and threaten on facebook (not by name)...I have see photos of your trailer. It is serviceable but not what I would say successful. Have you seen some of the other rigs here? Get a grip man. People are not out to get you.

Simple Cherry and F13 followed by a coating of plexmaster. Be prepared to scrub or use some pressure.

I can't vote but I can tell you that for colllllld water block ice will last longer in the tank. Ice cubes cool faster though. More surface area in contact with the water. It also keeps the delavan cool.

What sealer(s) are you using in 2010?
TNRoofCleaner replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I am using AC and Bakers this year again. All the decks so far have been Bakers but the next 3 will all be AC Sequoia. -
Sprayer Cart
TNRoofCleaner replied to Little Buddy's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
That is what I do.... Stripper then brightener then water..... Stain then degreaser then water and on to the next one. Talk abotu speeding things up. Bought all my parts from a local farm store. Applied 28 gallons of stain on a fence and deck in 3.5 hours including masking the house.
